Abstract

This research aims to produce seeds from the crossbreeding of nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) of the jabir, nirwana, and sultana strains, as well as Mozambique tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus). The crosses involved using male jabir nile tilapia with female nirwana nile tilapia and male mozambique tilapia with female sultana nile tilapia. The breeding was conducted in a 1:3 ratio of male to female. The spawning process occurred over a 16-day cycle, followed by a 28-day period of larval rearing. Crossbreeding between jabir and nirwana resulted in a higher spawning rate (17%) compared to the crossbreeding of mozambique and sultana (7%). The specific growth rate of seeds from the jabir and nirwana cross (14%) was not significantly different from the mozambique and sultana cross (13%). The survival rate of seeds from the jabir and nirwana cross (80%) was higher than from the mozambique and sultana cross (70%). Crossbreeding between male jabir nile tilapia and female nirwana nile tilapia exhibited better performance compared to the crossbreeding of male mozambique tilapia and female sultana nile tilapia.

Abstract

Data breaches are one of the major threats to Public Service information security in the digital era. This paper discusses various prevention strategies that can be implemented by organizations to protect sensitive data. Focusing on the importance of encryption, strict access control, and employee training, this paper outlines the steps that must be taken to effectively detect, analyze, and respond to data breach incidents. In addition, it discusses the importance of a comprehensive incident response plan and follow-up to increase organizational resilience to future threats. This paper analyzes various strategies that can be implemented to prevent data breaches, including encryption, access control, and employee training. Analytical methods are used to evaluate the effectiveness of each strategy in the context of the organization. In addition, the importance of an incident response plan is also discussed, with an emphasis on mitigation and recovery steps after an incident. By implementing these best practices, organizations can minimize the risk of data breaches and protect the reputation and trust of stakeholders. The results of the study indicate that a combination of strengthening technological infrastructure, implementing data security policies, and educating users can minimize the risk of data breaches. This study provides strategic recommendations for government agencies in building a safe and reliable public service system.

Abstract

One of the most significant aspects of Antonio Gramsci’s social theory is his analysis of political strategy, particularly his distinction between "war of maneuver" and "war of position." Gramsci argued that the classical model of revolution through military insurrection (war of maneuver) has been replaced by a much longer and more complex cultural struggle within advanced capitalism (war of position). Despite the importance of these concepts for contemporary Marxism, they have received relatively little attention. These terms have a history rooted in both military theory and Marxism, predating Gramsci’s prison notebooks, as reflected in the writings of Engels, Lenin, and Trotsky, which offer different perspectives on political strategy.

Abstract

The problem of stunting in Indonesia is a problem that has become a national concern. Stunting is caused by a lack of macro and micro nutrients. Vitamin D is one of the micronutrients that is important for growth in pediatric patients. Objectives of the studyo determine and examine the relationship between vitamin D and the immune system and prevention of stunting in pediatric patientsMethods: Literature searches were obtained through reference sources from Google Scholar, PubMed, Proquest, EBSCOhost. Inclusion criteria for the literature review were original articles, published in Indonesian and English, and receiving vitamin D therapy. A review of the literature highlights the crucial role of vitamin D in bone metabolism, growth, and immune system regulation, particularly in children. These functions contribute to the prevention of stunting. During pregnancy, vitamin D is essential for immune modulation in the fetus-mother interaction, making it a key regulatory factor. Its non-classical roles include acting as a strong immunomodulator by enhancing antibacterial defenses and regulating T-lymphocytes to reduce inflammation and promote immune tolerance. In the decidua, vitamin D supports innate immunity by enhancing infection response while preventing excessive immune-related inflammation. Current research has explored its potential in reducing the risk of infectious diseases like tuberculosis and in modulating autoimmune conditions. Vitamin D influences immune function beyond its direct role in the primary innate response. Early prevention of stunting requires sufficient intake of both macronutrients and micronutrients. Micronutrients, particularly vitamin D, play a vital role in bone metabolism and contribute to strengthening the body's defense mechanisms, helping to reduce the risk of infectious diseases in children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors influencing Millennials and Gen Z's intention to pay zakat in formal zakat institutions. The Theory of Planned Behavior is used as the theoretical framework in this study by including variables of education, income, perceived religiosity, literacy, social influence, and credibility of zakat institutions. Primary data was collected through a survey of a total of 100 Millennial and Gen Z Muslim respondents in the Jabodetabek area who pay zakat through a formal zakat institution. The analysis in this study uses a logistic regression model. This study found that the level of education and the credibility of zakat institutions have a positive and significant effect on the intention or willingness of millennials and Gen Z to pay zakat through formal zakat institutions. However, the variables of income, perceived religiosity, literacy, and social influence are insignificant in this study. The implications of these findings include that BAZNAS and zakat institutions need to implement programs to increase public knowledge and develop promotional strategies for paying zakat through zakat institutions. In terms of credibility, BAZNAS must be able to formulate clear regulations to guide zakat institutions in administering zakat professionally and credibly. In addition, managers of zakat institutions must also ensure they can manage institutions professionally and credibly implement digitization (online platform) to facilitate and accelerate muzaki access to pay zakat and get information on zakat distribution. Some limitations of this research that can still be developed in other studies are the use of a larger number of samples and the coverage of other cities in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to achieve male sex reversal in Nile Tilapia (Orechromis niloticus) of the red NIFI strain through high-temperature incubation during the embryonic or pre-swimming larval phase. Larvae resulting from the natural mating of red NIFI strain broodstock were incubated under temperature treatments of 31oC, 33oC, 35oC, and a control group (<30oC), each with three replicates. Temperature regulation was facilitated using a heater.  During the initial 3 hours of incubation, the heater was turned off for 6 hours, followed by another 3 hours of incubation with the heater on. This pattern was repeated daily until the larvae began to swim. The treated larvae were then reared for 90 days. Thirty specimens from each replicate were identified for gender using the squash acetocarmine method. The study results indicated that temperature differences significantly influenced (p<0.05) the sex ratio of Nile tilapia in the red NIFI strain. The highest proportion of males was achieved at 33oC, at 73.33%, and 35oC, at 64.43%. There were no significant differences (p>0.05) in fry survival rates at 7 days and after 90 days of rearing.
