Abstract

Quality control of a product must be maintained, so that consumers feel satisfied in using the products produced. One way that can be done by the industrial world is efficiency in product quality classification. A very good classification method compared to conventional methods, is the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method. The Support Vector Machine method is a supervised learning classification method. The SVM method is an algorithm that works using nonlinear mapping to change the original training data to a higher dimension. The purpose of the research is to obtain a classification model that has high accuracy or small errors in welding quality classification. The target of the researcher is to produce a control device to maintain effective and efficient welding quality. This research is a study that uses actual data, using the second data obtained from March 2018 to May 2018. The results of testing the model using a quadratic function kernel shows the accuracy of 96.2%, and testing using test data shows the results of accuracy 98% using a quadratic function kernel.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study utilizes rent-seeking and legitimacy theories to investigate the impact of military-connected boards and sustainability report disclosure on financial distress risk. This study's main subject is the non-financial public firms indexed by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) between 2017 and 2022. The findings show a strong positive correlation between the likelihood of financial distress and boards with ties to the military. Conversely, a lower risk of financial distress is significantly associated with higher disclosure in sustainability reports. Additionally, sustainability report disclosure mitigates the adverse effects of military-connected boards on financial distress risk.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the income of Marina Bakery, a home-based MSME in Surabaya, East Java, specializing in bread production. Despite its potential to produce various products based on customer demand, especially targeting the low-cost bread market for events and celebrations, the limitations on social gatherings caused by the pandemic have led to a decline in the bakery's income. In order to continue its business, Marina Bakery must explore new growth strategies. By diversifying its product offerings to include options that suit customer needs, such as changing individual or family portion sizes that are suitable for consumption at home, the bakery can continue to maintain its business. In addition, expanding marketing through brand image strategies and creating good financial records can help Marina Bakery's business sustainability. The implementer of the community service activity will partner with Marina Bakery in providing assistance and training related to the problems that have been carried out on June 19, 2024, July 16, 2024, and August 8, 2024. The purpose of this training and assistance is for Marina Bakery to understand the importance of business development by adapting according to customer tastes or preferences, the importance of marketing with a brand image strategy, and knowing the importance of good business financial management. Abstract

Building and development in the maritime aspect become one of the agendas in Indonesia which are known as Nawa Cita. Furthermore, Ministry Regulation number 80, 2015 has supported the increased number of inter-island sea transportation which cause higher competition among cruise companies. In line with that, every company is forced to give more value than the competitor through the right choice of strategy. Therefore, the study aimed to examine and analyze the effect of supply chain management on competitive advantage and a firm’s performance; the effect of competitive advantage on a firm’s performance, and the role of macro-economics as moderating variable. Moreover, the study was explanatory research that discussed the relationship between variables through hypothesis tests. The data collection technique used saturated sampling (census). Additionally, there were 15 companies with 7 years of observation (2013-2019) as the sample. In total, 105 financial statements were observed. In addition, the data analysis technique used Partial Least Square (PLS). As a result, supply chain management affected the competitive advantage of cruise companies. However, both supply chain management and competitive advantage did not affect the performance of cruise companies. On the other hand, external factors of macro-economics could support the implementation of supply chain management in increasing the competitive advantage of cruise companies. Besides, they could also back up the implementation of supply chain management as well as a competitive advantage in increasing the performance of cruise companies
