Abstract

This study aims to look at how to develop the potential and empowerment of the community of Mantang Lama Village in improving community welfare and to see the level of community participation in developing this potential. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique uses observation and interview techniques. Use secondary and primary data sources. The data analysis is carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The informants were determined using the purposive sampling technique. This research uses the social capital theory of Robert Putnam; in his theory, three elements are a reference for the success of empowerment. From the results of field findings in Mantang Lama Village, there are several potentials developed by BUMDes, namely five fishermen’s fishing vessels, the creation of mini food courts, and the provision of packing equipment and KUBE. However, it was also found that there was a lack of community participation in developing the potential of Mantang Lama Village. In conclusion, community participation in developing potential in Mantang Lama Village is essential to help the community's economy and increase Regional Original Income (PAD). Suggestions on the need for socialization from the management of BUMDes and being able to assist in providing training to improve community skills in managing potential in Mantang Lama Village.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mobile legends online games on the interest in learning of students of the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research method used in this study is using a correlational quantitative approach, where the population taken is active students who play Mobile Legend online games at FST UINAM. To determine the sample used quota sampling technique by determining the portion of 10 people in each department in the Faculty of Science and Technology. Retrieval of respondent data through google form then the data is processed with the SPSS application. Mobile legend online game is one of the top 5 most played MOBA games on the android market and much favored by students, none other than students. The Mobile Legend online game variable consists of three indicators, 1) Media Exposure, 2) Play Motivation and 3) Imitation Behavior. From the results of the analysis carried out by using a hypothesis test with a calculated F value of 3.620 > F table 2.71, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Media Exposure (X1), Play Motivation (X2) and Imitation Behavior (X3) simultaneously on Learning Interest (Y). The value of R2 (R Square) 0.112 means that the influence of the Mobile Legend Online Game variable on learning interest is 11.2% while the effect is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Sumatera Thawalib educational institution in the development of Islamic education in the Minangkabau region. Sumatera Thawalib was one of the significant Islamic educational organizations that played a crucial role in the dissemination and renewal of Islamic teachings as well as in shaping the character of the Minangkabau community in the early 20th century. Using a qualitative historical approach, this research collects data from various primary and secondary sources, such as archival documents, historical literature, and interviews with educational figures and local historians. The results show that Sumatera Thawalib made a significant contribution in creating a progressive and modern Islamic education system in Minangkabau. This institution not only emphasized the teaching of classical religious knowledge but also integrated general knowledge and character education in accordance with the social and cultural context of Minangkabau. Additionally, Sumatera Thawalib served as a forum for the emergence of Islamic scholars and intellectuals who played a role in renewing Islamic thought and strengthening the community’s Islamic identity. The role of Sumatera Thawalib is also evident in strengthening the network of Islamic education connecting various pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) and madrasahs in West Sumatra and surrounding areas. With innovative teaching methods and a structured organization, this institution was able to respond to the challenges of modernization while preserving traditional Islamic values. Furthermore, Sumatera Thawalib contributed to the development of social and political awareness among the Minangkabau community, particularly in the context of the independence movement and educational reform. In conclusion, Sumatera Thawalib holds a strategic role as a pioneer and driving force of Islamic education in Minangkabau, combining tradition and modernity. These findings provide important insights into the dynamics of Islamic education in Indonesia and its relevance in the development of education based on religious values and local culture. This research is expected to serve as a reference for developing contextual and forward-looking Islamic education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pentingnya kolaborasi antara orang tua dan guru dalam mengoptimalkan layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK) bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Layanan BK di tingkat SD bertujuan untuk mendukung perkembangan holistik siswa, termasuk aspek akademik, pribadi, sosial, dan karier awal. Keberhasilan layanan ini sangat bergantung pada sinergi antara lingkungan rumah dan sekolah. Orang tua, sebagai pendidik pertama dan utama, memiliki pemahaman mendalam tentang riwayat, karakteristik, dan kebutuhan emosional anak. Sementara itu, guru berada dalam posisi strategis untuk mengamati perilaku siswa di lingkungan belajar, mengidentifikasi tantangan, dan memberikan intervensi dini. Kolaborasi efektif antara kedua belah pihak mencakup berbagi informasi relevan tentang perkembangan siswa, menyelaraskan strategi penanganan masalah, serta merumuskan tujuan bimbingan yang konsisten. Guru dapat melibatkan orang tua melalui pertemuan rutin, komunikasi terbuka, lokakarya, dan program pendidikan orang tua untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang peran BK. Sebaliknya, orang tua diharapkan aktif memberikan informasi tentang kondisi anak di rumah, mendukung program sekolah, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Hasil kolaborasi ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan sistem dukungan yang komprehensif, memungkinkan identifikasi dini masalah siswa, implementasi intervensi yang tepat, dan pada akhirnya, mendorong perkembangan positif siswa secara keseluruhan.
