Abstract

Abstract: Grammar is one of the most important elements of the English language. There is not a single word in English that does not involve grammar. In fact, a lot of English proficiency tests use grammar as one of the parts. Mastering grammar is as easy as mastering writing and speaking. This makes grammar has a big contribution in mastering English. The purpose of this research is to improve English Grammar skills through the implementation of a grammar game application in English classes in the digital era. This application contains grammar exercises and interactive training games and is very contemporary. The approach used in this study is a quantitative experimental method, employing a pretest-posttest control group design. The study involved two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The data analysis process is divided into two stages. The first stage involves analyzing the pretest and posttest data, while the second stage focuses on analyzing data from the questionnaire on the application's use. For the pretest and posttest data, a t-test is applied. Specifically, an independent t-test, which is a type of parametric test, is used to compare two independent groups. The analysis is based on two criteria: (1) if the significance value (2-tailed) is greater than 0.05, it indicates no significant difference between the groups; (2) if the significance value (2-tailed) is less than 0.05, it indicates a significant difference. The comparison of pretest and posttest scores between the experimental and control groups serves to address the research question about the effectiveness of the English Grammar Practice application in enhancing grammar skills. The results suggest that the application has a positive impact. Although the experimental group initially scored lower on the pretest than the control group, the posttest results showed that the experimental group outperformed the control group, demonstrating the effectiveness of the application in improving grammar proficiency.

Abstract

Abstract :This study discusses the existence of identity politics in the 2019 North Maluku gubernatorial election. In the 2019 North Maluku gubernatorial election, the couple successfully won with the help of identity politics so that they won the trust of the citizens. In this study, the research method used by the researcher is a qualitative research method. The data used in this study is in the form of secondary data, namely from books, journals, articles, social media and so on. The results of this study are that it can be seen that ethnic identity politics in the 2019 North Maluku gubernatorial election is a political reality that is consciously built by informal organizations and the main party structure, government, and government bureaucratic structures to strengthen nationalist groups in winning political support from the community. or ethnicity. The reconstruction of the national identity politics that prevailed in the PILKADA of North Maluku has also become a dominant political force in. Likewise, the role of informal actors outside the structure of political parties and the bureaucracy has also developed into a political machine that replaces it by supporting its existence and boldly appearing as supporters of candidates who are fighting for the life of the PILKADA.Keywords: identity politics, ethnic groups, multiculturalism. AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas tentang adanya politik identitas dalam pemilihan Gubernur Maluku Utara tahun 2019. Pada pilgub Maluku Utara tahun 2019, berhasil dimennagkan oleh pasangan dengan bantuan politik identitas sehingga mendapat kepercayaan dari warga. Pada penelitian ini, metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif. Datayang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu berupa data sekunder yaitu dari buku, jurnal, artikel, media sosial dan lain sebagainya. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu dapat diketahui bahwa Politik identitas pada etnik dalam pemilihan gubernur Maluku Utara tahun 2019 merupakan realitas politik yang secara sadar dibangun oleh organisasi informal dan struktur partai utama, pemerintahan, serta struktur birokrasi pemerintah untuk memperkuat kelompok nasionalis pada memenangkan dukungan politik dari masyarakat atau suku bangsa. Rekonstruksi politik identitas nasional yang berlaku dalam PILKADA Maluku Utara juga menjadi kekuatan politik yang dominan pada. Demikian pula peran actor informal di luar struktur partai politik dan birokrasi juga berkembang menjadi mesin politik yang menggantikan dengan mendukung keberadaan dan dengan berani muncul sebagai pendukung calon yang berjuang hidup PILKADA.Kata kunci:  politik identitas, kelompok etnis, multikulturalisme.

Abstract

Optimal employee performance is a key determinant of public service effectiveness, yet the achievements of the Community and Village Empowerment Agency in several districts of Lampung Province remain low. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture, internal communication, and commitment on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediator, in four priority districts. The research method employed was explanatory quantitative, utilizing a survey of 176 employees. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that job satisfaction has a dominant and significant influence on performance. Organizational culture and internal communication have a positive direct influence on both job satisfaction and performance. Commitment has a significant influence on job satisfaction but not a direct one on performance. Job satisfaction was proven to be a full mediator for the relationship between commitment and performance, and a partial mediator for the relationships of organizational culture and internal communication with performance. It is concluded that performance improvement requires a focus on enhancing job satisfaction through strengthening organizational culture, internal communication, and commitment. These findings provide practical implications for improving human resource management in local government agencies.
