Abstract

Sufism-based multicultural education seems to be new, yet substantially not. Partially, the models or designs which combine two important elements have actually developed in Indonesia. Sufism-based attitudes have become interesting phenomena related to the life of the diverse and heterogeneous Indonesian people as well as the constructions of various tribes, ethnics, and religions in forming the multicultural communities. Sufism values may become an underlying frame of each religion. This article reveals the facts found in the sociological qualitative research results showing that Malay-Bangka Islamic Sufi tend to build more dominant multicultural community in adjacent with the Chinese community of which population is bigger than the Moslem community, as well as with Christian, Hindu, and Buddha communities to live peacefully and respect each other. The problem is that Sufism-based multicultural education as a new education model for the peace of Indonesia has not been successfully made as well as its implementation in learning curriculum gradually based on the capacity of elementary to higher education students to draw the government‟s attention. The democratic movements highly demand on the acknowledgement of diversity in the body of Indonesia which has various tribes, ethnics, beliefs, and religions. Designing a new education model is one alternative to maintain and gather various cultures of the nation‟s communities to the globalization era as well as to fundamentally cultivate the values, starting from the level of primary to higher education students and develop the attitudes to respect and understand each other. In this case, Sufism-based multicultural education is one accommodative alternative education model to overcome various problems in heterogeneous communities

Abstract

The concept of a person's behavior (ihsan) about God develops among zuhud or ascetic experts (ascetic) as an embryo of Sufism. God is studied in depth through the approach of the heart and mind or pure logic (Taste and Ratio), so that their views of God are not limited to the opinions of the mutakallimin, but more than that. Their concept of the substance of God can be understood, is the source of all beauty (aesthetic) and the perfection of compounds and one, it is also believed that God is the source of absolute strength, power and iradat. God is the supreme creator, regulator of all events and the origin of all that exists (causa prima). The development of Sufism as a way and practice for realizing inner purity on the way to closeness to Allah SWT (takarrub Ila llah). Become a concern and attract the attention of Muslim thinkers with a background in theology and philosophy. From this group came a number of Sufi figures who were also philosophical, namely the Sufism dimension was rich in philosophical thoughts. These philosophical thoughts became an inspiration in the development of Islamic education methodology. Expected methodologies are methods that help facilitate understanding and lead to the perfection of God. Both through the human concept, human in its development, the concept of science and its function, the way humans obtain knowledge, as well as in the learning process and the functioning of the institution.

Abstract

SD Negeri 10 Tempilang merupakan SD yang telah menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dimana dalam proses pembelajarannya, termasuk juga pembelajaran PA yang menggunakan pendekatan saitifik. Berdasarkan pengamatan dan wawancara dengan guru PAI di SDN 10 Tempilang, kegiatan pembelajaran PAI di SD tersebut belum banyak melibatkan aktivitas peserta didik. Dimana guru masih dominan menyampaikan materi dengan metode ceramah. Setelah berdoa, guru mengawali pelajaran dengan membaca surat-surat pendek dan menjelaskan tujuan pembelajaran hari ini dan mengaitkan materi sebelumnya dengan materi yang akan dipelajari. Setelah itu guru menjelaskan materi sambil menulis di papan tulis lalu memberi tugas baik secara kelompok untuk didiskusikan maupun secara individu. Meskipun sudah digunakan metode diskusi, namun tidak semua ikut mengerjakan. Masih ada peserta didik yang sibuk dengan aktivitas lain diluar kegiatan pembelajaran. Kurangnya Media pembelajaran yang mendukung pembelajaran juga mengahambat ketertarikan peserta didik mengikuti pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil uji determinasi guna mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan antara variabel X dan Y. Diketahui bahwa pengaruh pendekatan saintifik terhadap keaktifan peserta didik SD Negeri 10 Tempilang memberi pengaruh sebesar 17,8%. Sedangkan untuk 82,2% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak dijadikan variabel dalam penelitian ini. SD Negeri 10 Tempilang is an elementary school that has implemented the 2013 curriculum where in the learning process, including PA learning using a positive approach. Based on observations and interviews with PAI teachers in SDN 10 Tempilang, PAI learning activities in these elementary schools have not involved many student activities. Where the teacher is still dominant in delivering the material with the lecture method. After praying, the teacher starts the lesson by reading short letters and explaining the purpose of today's learning and linking the previous material with the material to be learned. After that the teacher explains the material while writing on the board and then assigns both groups to be discussed and individually. Although the discussion method has been used, but not all participate in doing it. There are still students who are busy with other activities outside the learning activities. The lack of learning media that supports learning also inhibits students' interest in learning. This research is a quantitative research. Based on the results of the determination test to find out how much the relationship between variables X and Y. It is known that the influence of the scientific approach to the activeness of students in SD Negeri 10 Tempilang gives an effect of 17.8%. Whereas 82.2% was influenced by other factors which were not used as variables in this study.
