Abstract

The Museum of Jakarta Historical, which popularly known as Fatahillah museum, is one of the importance historical buildings in Indonesia with abudance hictorical value. This neoclassic architectural building that was built around the 17th century had already been altered its function for several times, such as: a city hall (stadhius), the house of parliament, a prison especially to hang the convict, a military dorm in the end of colonial period, and a museum in the independence period. All changes of the Fatahillah Museum were observered with qualitative method accompanying with hermeneutics approach to describe its post-colonial study as a relevance result to its casual critical issue and culture. Hence, it could give another perspective of the meaning behind the colonization that ever happened and its impact nowadays. Today, the Fatahillah museum is still standing strong and majestic. The beauty of the architecture becomes a marker that colonial architecture has contributed indirectly to the development of architecture in Indonesia, apart from its function in the past. By studying the interpreted means of the Fatahillah Museum changes in function, the inheritance task is to care for and to preserve the Fatahillah Museum as one of historical witnesses.

Abstract

One of hospital sanitary efforts is surface disinfection with chemical compound. Disinfection is done through floor mopping with phenolic disinfectant. Disinfectant dose is a factor which determined to how its disinfectant works. Till now, there hasn’t been known about the effective dose of phenolic disinfectant to decrease bacteria count on the floor of wards at Tugurejo Public Hospital in Semarang city. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of phenol disinfectant dose to bacteria count in the treatment room. The method that is used for this research is quasi experiment pre-test post-test control group design. The independence variable is phenol disinfectant doses, which are 6ml, 8ml, 10ml, and 12 ml. Meanwhile, dependence variable is bacteria count on the floor in the treatment room at tugurejo public hospital. Description and narration of bacteria count  are used for univariate analysis. Statistic test of paired sample t-test, one way annova and LSD are used for bivariate analysis. The results of this research revealed that in the floor mopping with 6ml dose of phenol disinfectant, the bacteria count decreased to 7,17 %, in 8ml dose it’s 58,35 %, in 10 ml dose it’s 65,30 %, in 12 ml dose it’s 69,27 %. The result of one way annova, revealed that p-value is 0,000. It means that there is a difference of average bacteria count between phenol disinfectant dose of 6ml, 8ml, 10ml, and 12 ml. Based on LSD test, it revealed that effectiveness of 8ml, 10 ml, and 12 ml phenol disinfectant to bacteria count are even. The conclusions of this research are there’s an influence of phenol disinfectant dose to bacteria count on the floor and the most effective phenol dose to be used is 6 ml. The advice for health workers are to enforce the provision about appropriate disinfectant dose for floor mopping and make a guidance to cleaning services who are in charge of the wards.

Abstract

Refractory and mortality associated with status epilepticus (SE) were correlated with the degree of inflammation-induced neuronal cell death. This study was aimed to investigate the correlation of oxidative stress (Malondialdehyde, MDA) and inflammation (C-reactive protein, CRP) process with neurodevelopmental outcome in children after the episode of convulsive type SE. This study was designed as cross sectional which included 26 convulsive type SE subjects and 15 control subjects. MDA level was measured by thiobarbituric acid (TBA) method, while CRP level was measured by ELISA method. Neurodevelopmental outcome was measured by Bayley-III Scale of Infant and Toddler Development 3 month after the convulsive type SE episode. Results showed that both MDA (independent t-test, p < 0.05) and CRP (Mann-Whitney test, p < 0.05) level was significantly higher in convulsive type SE group as compared to control group. Further analysis also showed that MDA (Spearman correlation test, p = 0.000, r = 0.756) and CRP (Spearman correlation test, p = 0.000, r = 0.835) level was positively correlated with convulsive type SE. In convulsive type SE group, MDA level was negatively correlated with neurodevelopmental outcome but CRP was not. We concluded that MDA level was negatively correlated with neurodevelopmental outcome in children with convulsive type SE, but CRP was not.
