Abstract

Abstract- Teaching aids are tools used to teach and help explain the material. The teaching aids that the author makes are pneumatic system props and testing of two double acting cylinders moving simultaneously continuously. This teaching aid is made through the design stage. This teaching aid was made to serve as a learning practicum tool in the Jambi Polytechnic workshop and to conduct testing. In the final project report, the author made a pneumatic system that has the actuator motion automatically. Thus the components used to make the actuator move automatically, namely 4 manifold ports, 1 3/2 pushbutton valve, 2 3/2 roller valves, 1 5/2 double pilot valve where the air flow will be branched using a T fitting to each each cylinder, namely cylinder 1 and cylinder 2. This teaching aid has a length of 80 cm, a width of 80 cm and a height of 150 cm. All pneumatic components are mounted on pneumatic sliding boards by connecting them with pneumatic rails. Intisari- Alat peraga merupakan alat-alat yang digunakan untuk mengajar dan membantu menjelaskan materi. Alat peraga yang penulis buat adalah alat peraga sistem pneumatik dan pengujian dua silinder kerja ganda bergerak bersamaan secara terus-menerus. Alat peraga ini dibuat melalui tahapan rancang bangun. Alat peraga ini dibuat bertujuan sebagai alat praktikum pembelajaran di bengkel Politeknik Jambi serta melakukan pengujian. Pada laporan proyek akhir yang penulis buat sistem pneumatiknya yaitu memiliki gerak aktuatornya secara otomatis. Dengan demikian komponen yang digunakan untuk membuat aktuatornya bergerak secara otomatis, yaitu 4 port manifold, 1 katup 3/2 pushbutton, 2 katup 3/2 roller, 1 katup 5/2 double pilot yang mana aliran udara akan dicabangkan menggunakan fitting T ke masing-masing silinder yaitu silinder 1 dan silinder 2. Alat peraga ini memiliki panjang 80 cm, lebar 80 cm dan tinggi 150 cm. Semua komponen pneumatik di pasangkan pada papan sliding pneumatik dengan dihubungkan dengan rel pneumatik.

Abstract

Memodifikasi mesin perontok buah sawit menjadi mesin pengupas pinang belah kering model thresher dengan melakukan pengujian alat sehingga dapat mengetahui kendala dari mesin perontok buah sawit tersebut, dan melakukan pembongkaran komponen atau bagian yang akan dimodifikasi yaitu; cover, saluran penampung, mata pisau dan kopling penggerak. Cover yang dirancang berfungsi agar kokoh dari benturan biji pinang dan berbentuk silinder. Saluran penampung yang dirancang berfungsi agar kulit pinang yang terkupas masuk ke dalam jalur pembuangan pipa paralon dan blower bertugas untuk menghembuskan antara kulit pinang yang terkupas dengan bijinya. Mata pisau yang dirancang berfungsi mengupas kulit pinang belah kering. Kopling penggerak dirancang berfungsi sebagai penghubung/pemutus putaran mesin ke poros dan besi beton polos dan bearing sebagai penahan v-belt. Pada pengujian dengan kapasitas 50 kg 1 hari jemur yang terkupas 40 kg dan yang tidak terkupas 10 kg dengan waktu rata-rata yang dibutuhkan 15 menit merupakan pengujian yang terbaik. Oleh karena itu dapat kami simpulkan hasil pengupasan terbaik dari mesin pengupas pinang belah kering ini hampir 80 % terkupas.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest supplier of essential patchouli oil on the world market. Patchouli essential oil cant hold or bind the fragrance of other fragrance ingredients so that the smell is longer lasting. Patchouli plant essential oils have a good chance because demand is always increasing population and the habits of the people tend to use cosmetics and fragrances as one form of people’s lifestyles, then the need for perfume is increasing every year. Make distillatory essential oil patchouli plant with water and steam distillation method to produce essential oils from patchouli.  The method used is the water and steam distillation method according, this method of distillation can produce steam and heat which is stable because of the constan vapor. The results of  the design  of   this  distiller  can  produce  essential oils from  patchouli. The design of patchouli essential oil refining equipment, the method used is steamed, with a scale of 2 kg patchouli and 20 liters of water. The kettle tube is made from aluminum plate the size used is a diameter of 300 mm. the results of the design of the refiner can produce essential oils from patchouli. The essential oil refiner uses gas fuel.

Abstract

Modification of meat grinder machine 8 kg capacity has been developed to get an applicable machine for fish meat processing in micro and small enterprise like that warung pempek, kemplang and crackers businesses. The machine is designed more simply that driven by AC motor 0.5 HP with speed rotation of 1400 rpm. The results using 3 types of fish shows that average capacity of machine is 12,13 kg/ hour. In addition, the element of convenience in washing the grinder blade is a major aspect to consider in modification.

Abstract

In the industrial application, the pneumatik system was used to help the production process that uses automatic control. The pneumatik system trainer that already exists in the Politeknik Jambi workshop still uses a manual control system. In this discussion, the writer wants to modify the PLC-based electro-pneumatik policy (programmer logic controller). Pneumatik systems were all systems that use power in the form of compressed air and are used to produce work. The first compressed air by the compressor and stored in the storage tube. The storage air was treated so that the pneumatik system can function correctly. The compressed air was regulated for use by a pneumatik control system, which is connected to the solenoid valve to drive three cylinders of double-acting opposite motion..

Abstract

Rempeyek Ilham is one of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jambi City which is engaged in the production of tempeh peanut brittle. The increase in the capacity of the tempeh slices is done by making an automatic tempeh slicing machine using a vertical disc cutter. The slicing method is to use a crankshaft mechanism which produces a reciprocating motion with a 2-way movement direction, namely the transfersal direction and the longitudinal direction. The thickness of the wedge is regulated by a stopper with the help of a spring push mechanism. The results showed that the tempe cutting machine with a cutting time of 1 minute 37 seconds, the average number of slices obtained with a size of 2 mm was 83.8 slices and for sizes above 2 mm (2.1 mm-3 mm) as many as 68 slices, and the rest of the tempeh pieces are 5.6 cm long.

Abstract

Modify the palm fruit thresher machine into a thresher model dry split betel nut peeler by testing the tool so that it can find out the constraints of the palm fruit thresher machine, and disassembling the components or parts to be modified, namely; cover, collection channel, blade and drive clutch. The cover is designed to function to be sturdy from the impact of areca nuts and is cylindrical. The reservoir channel is designed to allow the peeled betel nut to enter the drain pipe and the blower is in charge of blowing between the peeled betel nut and the seeds. The blade is designed to peel the dry split betel nut. The drive clutch is designed to function as a connector/breaker for the engine rotation to the shaft and plain concrete iron and bearings as a v-belt retainer. In the test with a capacity of 50 kg 1 day drying, peeled 40 kg and unpeeled 10 kg with an average time of 15 minutes is the best test. Therefore, we can conclude that the best peeling results from this dry split betel nut peeler machine are almost 80% peeled.

Abstract

Mesin pemotong stiker untuk usaha mikro kecil menengah rempeyek adalah suatu mesin yang berfungsi untuk memotong stiker khusus untuk label produk yang ditempel ke pembungkus plastik. Dalam pemotongan stiker. Di usaha UMKM masih menggunakan jasa pihak luar ataupun memotong sendiri secara manual, salah satunya usaha UMKM di kota jambi. Dalam pemotongan stiker label pengerjaan masih secara manual sehingga memerlukan tenaga kerja yang cukup besar dan waktu yang cukup lama. Maka dari itu, dibuat Mesin Pemotong stiker dengan kapasitas 150 lembar dengan penggerak motor listrik single phase induction motor, disuplai oleh tenaga listrik 220V\50Hz kecepatan putaran 1400 rpm. Alat ini dapat memotong kertas stiker dengan cepat dan hasil potongan presisi dan rapi. Mesin pemotong stiker label ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah pemotongan stiker label, dan agar masyarakat kecil dapat menggunakan mesin pemotong stiker label dengan harga mesin yang lebih ringan. Untuk memperpanjang masa ketahanan dan keawetan mesin, dapat di lakukan perawatan, perbaikan dan kebersihan mesin. Adapun sistem mata pisau potong dari mesin pemotong stiker label ini adalah mengunakan sistem mata pisau dengan gerakan naik turun.
