Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who have ended their employment contracts, are called purna PMI. Full PMI who have returned from working abroad bring enormous remittances. Remittances that are not managed properly will run out for consumptive purposes, so that it can cause purna PMI who have returned from working abroad to depart again as PMI. Therefore, purna PMI needs to be fostered and empowered with the aim of having sustainable income, thus having the opportunity to be able to create jobs for the surrounding communities. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the study, there is currently a purna PMI empowerment program, namely the Program (1) Productive Migrant Village by the Ministry of Manpower, (2) Empowerment program for PMI Gold by the National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers (BNP2TKI). This program is actually relatively good, but the program in East Lampung Regency has not run optimally. This is because there are still obstacles such as human PMI resources that are still lack of knowledge, difficult access to capital, marketing of entrepreneurial products that have not been maximized and lack of local partners who are involved in the empowerment process. This has led to the need for synergies in creating and implementing an empowerment model, which can be a reference model for empowerment of regions with full PMI follicle to encourage the achievement of sustainable development in East Lampung Regency. Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) yang telah mengakhiri kontrak kerja mereka, disebut purna PMI. PMI penuh yang telah kembali dari bekerja di luar negeri membawa remitansi yang sangat besar. Remitansi yang tidak dikelola dengan benar akan habis untuk tujuan konsumtif, sehingga dapat menyebabkan purna PMI yang telah kembali dari bekerja di luar negeri untuk berangkat lagi sebagai PMI. Oleh karena itu, purna PMI perlu dibina dan diberdayakan dengan tujuan memiliki pendapatan yang berkelanjutan, sehingga memiliki kesempatan untuk dapat menciptakan lapangan kerja bagi masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, saat ini terdapat program pemberdayaan purna PMI, yaitu Program (1) Desa Migran Produktif oleh Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan, (2) Program pemberdayaan untuk PMI Emas oleh Badan Nasional Penempatan dan Perlindungan Indonesia Pekerja (BNP2TKI). Program ini sebenarnya relatif baik, tetapi program di Kabupaten Lampung Timur belum berjalan optimal. Ini karena masih ada kendala seperti sumber daya PMI manusia yang masih kurang pengetahuan, akses modal yang sulit, pemasaran produk wirausaha yang belum maksimal dan kurangnya mitra lokal yang terlibat dalam proses pemberdayaan. Hal ini menyebabkan perlunya sinergi dalam menciptakan dan menerapkan model pemberdayaan, yang dapat menjadi model referensi untuk pemberdayaan daerah dengan folikel PMI penuh untuk mendorong pencapaian pembangunan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Lampung Timur.

Abstract

Advances in technology and information have opened up great opportunities for the community, especially for the world of education. Therefore, educational institutions or organizations must have strategies in dealing with changes in student interaction patterns on information technology devices and how schools face the development of the digital era. This research is a research that explores the strategy of education providers in the use of digital literacy as a medium to improve the quality of learning. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis with a qualitative approach that focuses on substantive and formal theories as well as events that exist and are recognized as true. The strategy of the education provider organization in utilizing digital literacy at the IT Baitul Muslim High School in East Lampung has been going well so far, because the digital literacy program had been implemented in the school environment long before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. So that the learning process with digital literacy is nothing new for schools and students. Although in this case the improvement of teacher competence continues to be pursued as one of the school's strategies to improve teacher competence to actualize learning and the potential of students in digital literacy learning

Abstract

The phenomenon of cross-border migration between Indonesia and the Philippines, particularly in the Southern Mindanao region, has given rise to a significant Indonesian diaspora community. 65% of female migrant workers are undocumented, 80 cases of wage theft. However, this community often faces marginalization, especially in terms of access to fundamental labor rights and legal protection. This article analyzes the gender-based inequality experienced by Indonesian migrant workers, focusing on women employed in informal and domestic sectors groups that are particularly vulnerable to exploitation. The study examines public policy gaps at both national levels between Indonesia and the Philippines and the regional level, ASEAN. Highlighting the weak implementation of cross-border labor protections. Using a descriptive-analytical approach grounded in policy review and the theoretical framework of gendered labor, this article underscores the urgent need for inclusive, rights-based policy reform to promote fair and gender-responsive migration governance.

Abstract

Penumpukan sampah merupakan salah satu masalah lingkungan terbesar yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat saat ini, yang juga berkontribusi signifikan terhadap perubahan iklim serta bencana alam seperti banjir. Melalui konsep zero waste, pengurangan sampah plastik dapat diupayakan melalui pendekatan 3R yang berkelanjutan dengan cara mengolah sampah menjadi sebuah kerajinan. Namun, pemahaman mengenai konsep Zero Waste masih minim, khususnya pada anak-anak usia dini, yang memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku ramah lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan konsep zero waste sebagai salah satu langkah untuk mengurangi sampah plastik dan memitigasi risiko bencana banjir di SDN 1 Way Dadi dengan sasaran pelajar kelas 5 dengan peserta berjumlah 29 orang. Tantangan utama yang menjadi masalah saat ini adalah rendahnya kesadaran akan pengurangan produksi sampah serta kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan interaktif melalui diskusi, serta praktik langsung dalam memilah sampah dan memanfaatkan kembali barang-barang bekas.. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya konsep zero waste, sehingga dapat mengurangi produksi sampah seperti penggunaan plastik sekali pakai dan sampah rumah sebagai upaya mencegah penumpukan sampah yang berkontribusi terhadap perubahan iklim dan juga banjir. Selain itu, melalui edukasi ini, diharapkan siswa mampu menjadi agen perubahan yang menginspirasi lingkungan sekolah dan keluarga untuk lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan serta menjaga keberlanjutan bumi di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) in the Bandar Lampung City Trade Office by highlighting the adaptive interaction between the organizational environment and public administration practices. Using an ethnographic-based qualitative approach, this study explores how employees adapt to digital policies, how communication and coordination patterns are formed, and how the dynamics of bureaucratic work change in the context of information technology implementation. The results show that MIS can improve administrative efficiency, accelerate reporting, and strengthen the transparency and accountability of public services. The transformation from manual to digital processes creates a data-driven work culture and improves cross-departmental coordination. However, a number of challenges remain, such as infrastructure limitations, digital competency gaps, and the need for ongoing training. In addition, leadership has proven to play a crucial role through supervision, motivation, and support for employees during the adaptation process. Theoretically, this research enriches the study of organizational ecology in the context of public sector digitalization. Practically, these findings emphasize the importance of strengthening human resource capacity and transformational leadership for the sustainability of MIS implementation.

Abstract

The community service activity aims to enhance flood preparedness and disaster literacy among students of SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung through school-based education. Bandar Lampung City is an urban area with a relatively high level of flood vulnerability due to high rainfall intensity, population density, and inadequate drainage systems, which often cause inundation in the school environment during the rainy season. The activity was implemented through three main stages, namely situation analysis, educational socialization, and evaluation. The educational sessions were delivered using interactive presentations supported by visual media and educational videos, emphasizing the relationship between human behavior, environmental conditions, and flood risk. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test methods to measure improvements in students’ understanding. The results showed an increase in the average score from 77.58 in the pre-test to 91.37 in the post-test, with an N-Gain value of 66.81%, which falls into the effective category. These findings indicate that school-based flood preparedness education is effective in improving students’ knowledge, awareness, and environmentally responsible attitudes, and has the potential to support the development of disaster-resilient schools as well as flood risk reduction in both school and community environments.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat pesisir Pulau Pasaran dalam menghadapi ancaman gempa megathrust melalui pendekatan edukasi berbasis komunitas. Upaya ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai karakteristik gempa besar, potensi tsunami cepat, serta langkah penyelamatan diri yang tepat pada saat guncangan terjadi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyebaran poster edukatif, penjelasan langsung kepada warga, serta pemberian pretest dan posttest guna mengukur peningkatan pemahaman. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui koordinasi dengan tokoh setempat, penyampaian materi secara komunikatif di titik strategis, serta pemasangan media visual agar informasi mudah diakses. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan partisipasi masyarakat yang baik dan adanya peningkatan signifikan pemahaman warga setelah mengikuti sosialisasi, terutama terkait tindakan penyelamatan diri, prosedur perlindungan awal, serta arah evakuasi yang aman. Visualisasi materi melalui poster terbukti membantu warga memahami informasi teknis secara sederhana dan relevan dengan konteks kehidupan pesisir. Kesimpulannya, edukasi berbasis komunitas dapat memperkuat kesiapsiagaan masyarakat, memandirikan warga dalam merespons ancaman bencana, serta menjadi dasar penting bagi pengembangan program mitigasi lanjutan yang lebih terstruktur. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan literasi kebencanaan merupakan langkah strategis untuk membangun komunitas pesisir yang lebih tangguh.

Abstract

Kabupaten Lampung Barat menghadapi berbagai permasalahan lingkungan yang serius, seperti deforestasi, pencemaran air, dan pengelolaan sampah yang belum optimal. Meskipun indeks kualitas lingkungan hidup Kabupaten Lampung Barat menunjukkan tren perbaikan, masih banyak tantangan yang perlu diatasi, terutama dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat, khususnya kalangan pelajar, dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Data dari Dinas Lingkungan Hidup menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kerusakan lingkungan masih cukup tinggi, yang membutuhkan keterlibatan aktif dari generasi muda untuk menciptakan perubahan yang berkelanjutan. Program Pelajar Hijau: Kader Lingkungan untuk Masa Depan Berkelanjutan bertujuan untuk memberdayakan pelajar di Kabupaten Lampung Barat sebagai agen perubahan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini meliputi pelatihan berbasis sekolah, kampanye kesadaran lingkungan, serta aksi nyata berupa penghijauan dan pengelolaan sampah di lingkungan sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di beberapa sekolah yang berada di wilayah rawan kerusakan lingkungan, dengan melibatkan guru, siswa, dan masyarakat sekitar dalam setiap tahap program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta mengenai konsep dan praktik pengelolaan lingkungan, meskipun perubahan kesadaran ekologis masyarakat secara menyeluruh belum dapat dicapai dalam waktu singkat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perlunya keterlibatan aktor utama seperti pemerintah dan pihak terkait lainnya yang secara konsisten melakukan pembinaan berkelanjutan. PKM ini diharapkan menjadi pemicu awal yang mendorong kolaborasi multipihak untuk menciptakan perubahan perilaku dan budaya ramah lingkungan di masyarakat.    Kata kunci: Pelajar hijau, pemberdayaan pelajar, edukasi, kesadaran lingkungan. ABSTRACT West Lampung Regency faces various serious environmental problems, such as deforestation, water pollution, and suboptimal waste management. Although the environmental quality index of West Lampung Regency shows an improving trend, there are still many challenges that need to be overcome, especially in increasing public awareness and participation, particularly among students, in preserving the environment. Data from the Environmental Agency indicates that the level of environmental damage remains quite high, requiring the active involvement of the younger generation to create sustainable change. The Green Student Program: Environmental Cadres for a Sustainable Future aims to empower students in West Lampung Regency as agents of environmental change. The methods used in this program include school-based training, environmental awareness campaigns, and concrete actions such as reforestation and waste management in school environments. These activities are carried out in several schools located in areas prone to environmental damage, involving teachers, students, and the surrounding community in every stage of the program. The results of the activities show an increase in participants' knowledge of environmental management concepts and practices, although a comprehensive change in public ecological awareness cannot be achieved in a short period of time. This is due to the need for the involvement of key actors such as the government and other relevant parties who consistently provide ongoing guidance. This community service program is expected to be an initial trigger that encourages multi-stakeholder collaboration to create environmentally friendly behavioral and cultural changes in the community.
