Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa kemampuan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematika tingkat tinggi yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik. Selain itu kemampuan pemahaman dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis jarang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi alternatif bagi pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah model pembelajaran IMPROVE. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen karena penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol sebagai subyek penelitian. Cara pengambilan subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian dipilih sebanyak dua kelas dari keseluruhan peserta didik kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah Banyuresmi tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Dari hasil penelitian dan perhitungan statistik diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE; 2) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional/direct instruction; 3) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional/direct instruction; 4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang dalam pembelajarannya menggunakan i-spring suite 8 pada model pembelajaran IMPROVE dan yang menggunakan model konvensional/direct instruction.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Model IMPROVEABSTRACT This research is motivated by the fact that the ability to understand and the ability to solve mathematical problems is one of the high-level mathematical abilities that must be possessed by every student. In addition, the ability to understand and the ability to solve mathematical problems are rarely applied in mathematics learning in schools. One learning model that can be an alternative for mathematics learning and mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities is the IMPROVE learning model. This study aims to determine the application of ispring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model to improve students' mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities. The research method used is quasi-experimental because this study uses one experimental class and one control class as research subjects. The method of taking the research subject used was purposive sampling. The research subjects were selected as many as two classes from all grade XI students of SMA Muhammadiyah Banyuresmi in the 2019/2020 academic year. From the results of research and statistical calculations conclusions: 1) There is an increase in the ability to understand and solve mathematical problems of students who in learning use the i-spring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model; 2) There is an increase in the ability of understanding and solving mathematical problems of students who in learning use conventional learning models / direct instruction; 3) There is an increase in students' mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities in learning using i-spring suite 8 in the IMPROVE learning model compared to students in learning using conventional learning models / direct instruction; 4) There is no difference in the ability to understand and solve mathematical problems of students who in learning use the i-spring suite 8 on the IMPROVE learning model and who use the conventional model / direct instruction.Keywords: Mathematical Understanding Ability, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, IMPROVE Model

Abstract

Abstract Thinking is one human trait . Since can perceive , people begin to think and this process continues until the end of his life . Attitude and way of thinking can be developed through a process of learning mathematics because mathematics has a structure and a strong and clear linkages antarkonsepnya so anyone who thinks rationally skilled study . Therefore learning how mathematics can be implemented so as to cultivate students' mathematical power . Mathematics curriculum should be designed not only for students continuing on to higher education but also for entering the job market . Focus of the curriculum can be examined from three aspects , namely Intended Curriculum , Curriculum Implemented and Attained Curriculum . Learning process must be conducted in accordance with the class learning objectives to be achieved . Also, it can also refer to the implementation of the curriculum in other countries.

Abstract

Research using experimental methods with the group design is randomized control group pre-test-posttest design, with this method, the file that will be examined are group into two classes namely the control class and the experimental class. Instrument used to measure the ratio of the mathematical problem-solving skills is objective test or description test be given before researcher provide treatment and after treatment. File analyses performed using Chi Squared test and Mann-Whitney test. This study aimed to knowing the ratio of the mathematical problem-solving skills between students who get giving reward strategies with students who get conventional learning. The results of research showing that the mathematical problem-solving skills between students who get giving reward strategies better than students who get conventional learning. Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain kelompok randomized control group pre-test-postest design, dengan metode tersebut data yang akan diteliti dikelompokan menjadi dua yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur perbandingan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yaitu berupa tes objektif / uraian yang diberikan sebelum peneliti memberikan perlakuan dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Uji Chi Kuardat dan Uji Mann-Whitney. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang mendapatkan strategi giving reward dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang mendapatkan strategi giving reward lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

To realize the expectation that students be creative and have a mathematical problem-solving ability is good, of course also needed a learning model based on creative problem solving. Among the learning model in question is the learning model Treffinger. This learning model will make students more active and make learning more fun activities. The author would like to see if an increase in the ability of students to solve problems that get Treffinger models better than the students who received the conventional model? The method that I use in this study is the experimental method, that is by giving the treatment at two different sample classes. Based on the research results of the final test can be concluded there is an increase in the ability of students to solve problems that get better Treffinger models compared with the students who get a conventional model. Untuk mewujudkan harapan agar siswa menjadi kreatif dan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yang baik, tentu dibutuhkan pula model pembelajaran yang berbasis pada pemecahan masalah secara kreatif. Diantaranya model pembelajaran yang dimaksud adalah model pembelajaran Treffinger. Model pembelajaran ini akan menjadikan siswa lebih aktif serta menjadikan kegiatan pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan. Penulis ingin melihat apakah peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah yang mendapatkan model treffinger lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang siswa yang mendapatkan model konvensional?. Metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen, yaitu dengan cara memberikan perlakuan pada dua kelas sampel yang berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tes akhir dapat diambil kesimpulan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah yang mendapatkan model treffinger lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang siswa yang mendapatkan model konvensional.

Abstract

Learning mathematics is meaningful when students can connect mathematical ideas, connecting mathematics to other disciplines, and connecting mathematics with everyday life, so that students can develop the skills. This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine. whether the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who get a Instruction problem based learning model better than students who received conventional learning models. The sample population in this study were 16 high school students Garut. These results indicate. that: ( 1 ) mathematical problem-solving ability of students who get a Instruction problem. based learning model better than students who received conventional learning models; ( 2 ) an increase in mathematical problem-solving ability of students who have learning model of Problem Based Instruction high category; ( 3 ) students' attitudes toward learning model of Problem Based Instruction in general showed a positive attitude.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika akan bermakna apabila siswa dapat menghubungkan ide-ide matematika, menghubungkan matematika dengan disiplin ilmu lain, dan menghubungkan matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga siswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuannya. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Sampel populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri 16 Garut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran konvensional; (2) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction berkategori tinggi; (3) sikap siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction secara umum menunjukan sikap yang positif.
