Abstract

Education in Indonesia, in particular, faces the challenge of transforming itself into a more innovative and interactive learning system. Implementing learning media that utilizes modern technology is a crucial step in improving the quality of education and student engagement in the learning process. The workshop was designed with an interactive approach to ensure the active involvement of all participants. Sessions included theoretical presentations on the importance of technology in education, the use of social media and digital platforms, and discussions on practical experiences using technology in teaching. Workshop discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration in implementing technology in education. Participants noted that technology adoption is not solely technical but also requires approval and support from educational management, as well as collaboration between educators and third parties. Therefore, the workshop included sessions where participants could work collaboratively to create technology-based learning content. This collaboration is crucial because cooperative learning models are introduced in educational contexts with the aim of strengthening teamwork and enhancing understanding of the concepts taught.

Abstract

The global development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 demands the transformation of education towards Deep Learning to cultivate 21st century skills. The implementation of this concept in elementary schools still focuses on administration, while to drive the education ecosystem depends on the level of teacher motivation which is the spearhead of changes in the quality of learning services. This study aims to describe and analyze the leadership of school principals which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising in implementing four Deep Learning frameworks to increase teacher motivation at SDN Ciwangi. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The data collection method was carried out through non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The findings of the study show that (1) Principals have implemented participatory and visionary leadership; (2) The implementation of leadership is transformational through technological example and the creation of a psychologically safe environment, so that teachers dare to innovate without fear of making mistakes. This study concluded that the synergy of leadership management with the four deep learning frameworks succeeded in changing teachers' motivation from mere extrinsic compliance to intrinsic professional commitment (self-efficacy and inner satisfaction).

Abstract

This study is grounded in the thought of Ki Hajar Dewantara, who viewed education as an effort to liberate human beings—that is, to shape learners so that they can develop in accordance with their natural potential, possess noble character, and become independent individuals without losing their human values. This study aims to: (1) describe the concept of liberating education according to Ki Hajar Dewantara; (2) analyze the relevance of this concept to the needs of 21st-century education; and (3) examine the implications of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s ideas for the education system at the junior high school level, including aspects of curriculum, learning, school management, and institutional culture. The method employed is library research using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources include the original works of Ki Hajar Dewantara, academic studies on character education and humanistic education, as well as national education policy documents such as the Merdeka Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile. The data were analyzed through data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and thematic conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Ki Hajar Dewantara’s concept of liberating education emphasizes three main principles: (1) exemplary leadership (ing ngarso sung tulodo), (2) empowerment and motivation (ing madya mangun karso), and (3) encouragement of independence (tut wuri handayani). These three principles have strong implications for the junior high school education system. In terms of curriculum, there is a need to strengthen flexibility, learning differentiation, and character development. In the learning process, teachers need to act as mentors who guide students through dialogical, reflective, and experiential approaches. In terms of school management, a democratic and participatory school culture is required, positioning students as active subjects of learning. This study concludes that the implementation of liberating education at the junior high school level can strengthen a humanistic educational ecosystem that is relevant to the developmental needs of learners.

Abstract

General Background: Mathematics learning in elementary schools requires learning media that support conceptual understanding through interactive and technology-based approaches. Specific Background: Fraction topics remain challenging for students due to limited visualization and minimal utilization of digital learning media in classroom practice. Knowledge Gap: Although educational games and deep learning approaches have been discussed separately, the development of web-based educational games explicitly integrating deep learning principles for elementary fraction learning is still limited. Aims: This study aims to develop a web-based educational game applying a deep learning approach to support fourth-grade students’ understanding of fraction concepts. Results: Using a Research and Development method with the ADDIE model, the developed game “Pizzeria Pecahan – Ultimate Edition” obtained very high validation scores from material experts, media experts, and classroom teachers, and student learning outcomes showed a notable increase between pretest and posttest results. Novelty: This study presents a web-based educational game that systematically embeds deep learning elements such as exploration, reflection, and problem-solving within fraction learning activities. Implications: The findings indicate that web-based game media grounded in deep learning principles can serve as an alternative digital learning resource to support meaningful and student-centered mathematics learning in elementary education. Highlights • The study produced a web-based educational game integrating deep learning principles• Expert validation confirmed high feasibility in content, design, and pedagogy• Student fraction understanding showed substantial improvement after implementation Keywords Educational Game; Deep Learning; Fraction Concepts; Web-Based Learning Media; Mathematics Learning
