Abstract

Stroke is divided into two categories, ischemic and hemorrhagic. Each year there are 15 million people around the world who suffer a stroke. Stroke treatment requires a high cost. The burden of heart disease and stroke from 2012 to 2030 reaches Rp. 1,7 trillion. This study aimed to analyze the comparison of direct and indirect costs of stroke patient in X hospital in 2017. The results showed that the number of ischemic stroke patients more than hemorrhagic stroke patients. The average cost of hemorrhagic stroke patients is greater at Rp 3,763,750 than the average cost of ischemic stroke patients. The total direct cost of stroke patients is Rp. 527,895,000 (54.7%) and the total indirect cost of Rp. 437,295,000 (45.3%). It is recommended that the public more actively to monitor health, blood pressure movements, and symptoms of stroke.

Abstract

The main problem that is often experienced by the public is due to lack of knowledge and low public awareness of the benefits and importance of blood donation among the wider community in general, blood transfusion is an activity process carried out in the transmission of donor blood to the recipient must meet the criteria and have certain conditions. which must be fulfilled. This research aims to dig deeper into the experiences of blood donors in providing blood donations. This research took place in Padangsidimpuan City. This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenological design. The number of participants in this research was 4 participants. With collaizzi techniques and thematic analysis. The results of this research obtained 3 themes and 8 sub-themes, Theme 1 Motivation for blood donation received sub-themes including (1) helping others, (2) moral satisfaction, (3) reducing the risk of disease. Theme 2 Motivation for blood donation has sub-themes including (1) Feeling satisfied, (2) Feeling tired, (3) Experiencing pain. Theme 3 Motivation for blood donation has sub-themes including (1) Increasing social awareness, (2) Increasing self-confidence

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a symptom of an increase in a person's blood pressure above normal which results in the supply of oxygen and nutrients carried by the blood being blocked to the tissues of the body that need it. Based on WHO data, it is estimated that there are 600 million people with hypertension worldwide, with 3 million deaths each year. Hypertension is also in the 2nd rank of 10 most diseases in outpatients in hospitals in Indonesia in 2006 with a prevalence of 4.67%. The purpose of this PKM is to motivate the elderly about the importance of knowing healthy food, foods that can and should not be consumed by people with hypertension so that the elderly can continue to maintain health. PKM activities are carried out by means of health education methods using slide show powerpoint media and posters to elderly people with hypertension in the village of Labuan Labo totaling 50 people. The results of this counseling activity were continued by providing an evaluation to elderly people with hypertension, namely questions and answers about the material provided. There are three questions given by the extension agent to elderly people with hypertension. Based on the answers given, it shows that elderly people with hypertension understand the material provided by the extension agents, although there are elderly people who have difficulty remembering. PKM activities carried out went well. Elderly people with hypertension who participated in the activity seemed enthusiastic about participating in the counseling activities. Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases and is the most common in the community. Hypertension is now a major problem for all of us, not only in Indonesia but in the world because hypertension is one of the entry points or risk factors for diseases such as heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes and stroke. Hypertension is also one of the health problems suffered by most of the assisted residents, where the 2011 health data report received by the Directorate General of Corrections shows that heart disease and blood vessels are among the top 10 diseases in prisons and detention centers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between smoking habits and the incidence of hypertension in male prisoners at the Class IIB Prison in Padangsidimpuan City in 2018. The type of research used was quantitative with an analytical survey method through a cross-sectional approach whose population was all elderly male prisoners in LAPAS Padangsidimpuan City in 2018 amounted to 164 and the number of samples was determined by the Slovin formula, where the results were 64 people. Based on the results of the chi square statistical test, it shows that the p value <alpha value (0.05), meaning that H0 is rejected, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between There is a significant difference between smoking habits and the incidence of hypertension in male prisoners in the Class IIB Penitentiary in Padangsidimpuan City in 2018. It is advised that elderly male prisoners are more aware that smoking is a very important risk factor for exposure to hypertension so that respondents have the intention stop smoking. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder due to the pancreas not producing enough insulin or the body cannot use insulin produced effectively. According to Riskesdas 2018, the prevalence of people with diabetes mellitus in Indonesia increased from 6.9% in 2013 to 8.5% in 2018. This number increased from the previous year. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of eating patterns with the incidence of diabetes mellitus in South Tapanuli District Hospital. The research method used was analytic observation with a case control design with a control group. The sample in this study amounted to 38 case groups and 38 control groups. The data obtained were processed using the Chi Square test. The results showed a relationship between diet and the incidence of diabetes mellitus in South Tapanuli District Hospital. Based on the Chi Square statistical test results obtained p-value = 0,000 <0.005. The conclusion in this study there is a relationship of eating patterns with the incidence of diabetes mellitus in South Tapanuli District Hospital. Suggestions of this research can be used as a new source in increasing the knowledge of people with diabetes mellitus.
