Abstract

Politik kekuasaan dalam gereja merupakan fenomena yang dapat memengaruhi kepemimpinan jemaat secara signifikan. Persaingan tidak sehat, kampanye negatif, serta manipulasi dalam pemilihan pemimpin gereja sering kali menimbulkan perpecahan jemaat, menurunnya efektivitas pelayanan, dan hilangnya kepercayaan terhadap otoritas gerejawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji fenomena politik kekuasaan dalam gereja dari perspektif teologi Kristen serta menelaah dampaknya terhadap kepemimpinan jemaat. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis teologis dan kajian pustaka, penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana prinsip kepemimpinan Kristiani, seperti kepemimpinan sebagai pelayanan (Matius 20:25-28) dan penghindaran ambisi egois (Filipi 2:3-4), dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengatasi dinamika politik kekuasaan dalam gereja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip kepemimpinan yang sehat, transparansi dalam pemilihan pemimpin, serta peran aktif gembala sidang dalam menjaga integritas kepemimpinan merupakan langkah-langkah penting dalam membangun gereja yang harmonis dan berorientasi pada pelayanan. Oleh karena itu, gereja perlu menegakkan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan yang berlandaskan kasih dan kebenaran untuk menciptakan komunitas yang stabil dan bertumbuh secara spiritual.

Abstract

The sovereignty of God is the main principle that underlies all actions and works of God, based on His grace. One tangible form of God's loving sovereignty is His election of humanity to receive salvation through Jesus Christ. The issue many believers face is that they have not fully understood the meaning and implications of election. In fact, awareness of this truth can foster a deep sense of gratitude and recognition of the greatness of God's love and grace in the life of every believer. This research aims to explain that election is not the result of human effort or will, but rather originates from the will of God Himself, who is sovereign and full of grace. The method used is descriptive through literature study and exegetical-based biblical research. A review of various previous studies shows a narrow understanding of God's sovereignty. The novelty of this article lies in the exegetical results of Ephesians 1:4-6, which have not been widely discussed explicitly in current academic literature. The findings indicate that God chose His people even before the world was created. This means that God's decision to save certain individuals has been established since eternity, based solely on grace. In conclusion, understanding this divine election is crucial in Christian faith, as it shows that salvation entirely comes from God, not from human ability or goodness.

Abstract

Perguruan tinggi Kristen berasrama menghadapi krisis spiritualitas remaja, alienasi iman, dan merosotnya peran dosen sebagai pembina rohani di era digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan merumuskan model transformasi peran dosen dari pengajar menjadi mentor spiritual yang aktif secara relasional dan kontekstual. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif studi pustaka, penelitian ini menganalisis literatur teologis dan pedagogis untuk membangun kerangka berbasis prinsip biblika dan pedagogi Kristen. Tinjauan menunjukkan adanya kekosongan kajian mengenai integrasi peran dosen sebagai mentor spiritual dalam kehidupan harian kampus. Pembinaan rohani selama ini cenderung normatif dan tidak menyentuh relasi mendalam. Hasil kajian menekankan pentingnya pembekalan dosen, reformulasi kurikulum iman, dan penguatan sistem mentoring institusional. Kebaruan penelitian terletak pada model mentoring berbasis praktik harian seperti interaksi informal dan keteladanan hidup, yang menawarkan paradigma baru pembinaan iman yang relevan bagi pendidikan Kristen berasrama.

Abstract

Religious moderation teaches the importance of tolerance, dialogue, and mutual understanding among religious communities. In the context of Tumaluntung Village, religious moderation can serve as a solution to address the contestation surrounding the establishment of places of worship. With an inclusive and dialogue-based approach, it is hoped that conflicts and tensions can be minimized. However, implementing religious moderation is not without challenges. One of the greatest challenges is overcoming the distrust and prejudice that have already taken root in the community. Additionally, commitment from all parties, including the government, religious leaders, and the community, is essential to promote religious moderation.This research employs a qualitative method with a retrospective case study approach to examine religious moderation as a pathway to tolerance in the context of contestation over the establishment of places of worship in Tumaluntung Village, North Sulawesi. The objective of this study is to observe the dynamics of religious contestation in the establishment of places of worship in Tumaluntung Village, the factors influencing acceptance or rejection of these establishments, and the role of religious moderation in resolving conflicts that have arisen, thereby facilitating the establishment of places of worship in the village.The findings indicate that the efforts made by the government and the community of Tumaluntung Village have, in effect, practiced the values of religious moderation, which are also supported by the Minahasa philosophy of sitou timou tumou tou, which contains Christian values. In other words, the life of tolerance, mutual respect, and acceptance between different religions, along with a peaceful and harmonious existence that has been cultivated by the government and the community of Tumaluntung, reflects the integration of Christian values, the philosophy of sitou timou tumou tou, and the values of religious moderation.

Abstract

Abstract: In this article, the author discusses the relationship between humans and God from the perspective of Martin Buber, a modern Jewish philosopher. Buber emphasizes the importance of the concept of intersubjective relationship (I and Thou). This concept serves as evidence that humans are relational beings and that God is referred to as an intersubjective relationship. The article employs a qualitative literature review research method. The author will gather data from various sources, such as books, literature searches, notes, and reports related to Martin Buber's views on Intersubjective Relations, and the biblical perspective on building a relationship with God according to Colossians 2:6-7. Martin Buber develops the concept of intersubjective relations through the relationships of "I-it", "I-thou", and "I-Thou Absolute" as the foundation for spiritual growth and connection with God. The Epistle of Paul to the Colossians also emphasizes living in Christ as a strong foundation for a close relationship with God. Both assert that a strong relationship with God and others is key to a meaningful life and spiritual growth in faith.  Abstrak: Dalam artikel ini, penulis membahas tentang hubungan manusia dengan Allah berdasarkan sudut pandang Martin Buber, seorang filsuf Yahudi modern. Buber mengajukan pentingnya konsep hubungan intersubjektif (I and Thou). Konsep ini menjadi bukti bahwa manusia adalah makhluk relasional dan Allah disebut sebagai hubungan intersubjektif. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian kulitatif studi pustaka. penulis akan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber, seperti buku, pencarian literatur, catatan, dan laporan yang berhubungan dengan . Studi pustaka merupakan teknik untuk mengumpulkan data dari buku, pencarian literatur, catatan, dan laporan yang berhubungan dengan pendangan Martin Buber mengenai Relasi Intersubjektif, dan perspektif Alkitab tentang membangun relasi bersama Allah menurut kolose 2:6-7. Martin Buber membangun konsep relasi intersubjektif melalui hubungan "aku-sesuatu", "aku-engkau", dan "aku-Engkau Absolut" sebagai dasar pertumbuhan spiritual dan koneksi dengan Allah. Surat Paulus kepada Jemaat di Kolose juga menekankan hidup dalam Kristus sebagai fondasi kuat untuk hubungan yang erat dengan Tuhan. Keduanya menegaskan bahwa relasi yang kokoh dengan Allah dan sesama adalah kunci untuk kehidupan yang bermakna dan pertumbuhan rohani dalam iman.
