Abstract

One of the basic foundations for someone to choose and decide what to do is the construction of individual thinking. Time and the environment to which individuals adapt form structure. Additionally, each person has their own conception of how a marriage will affect them individually and their family formation. Marriage and family formation are socially seen as mandatory activities because it is assumed that everyone will experience it and must marry or start a family. This is a unique concern for children growing up in broken homes regarding the development of their marriage and family arrangements. Children who come from broken homes have fears and stress about marriage and family development. As normal young people from broken homes have done primary exploration and have worries about going to marriage and framing family after that, they feel injury and fear about how to run a big family. Researchers use phenomenological and purposive techniques in qualitative research. Considering that the examination that has been completed found that young people who live in broken families are afraid of getting married and starting a family, they imagine that they do not yet dare to step into marriage. Even though there are some young people who already have partners, they still need to be more open about moving up to a higher level of marriage. Additionally, the study found that children in homes with broken families believe that getting married or starting a family is a complex process that requires much planning and thought.

The organizational communication model in this study uses the Stimulus-Response model and the Aristotle model with upward, downward and sideways communication directions. Flor's environmental communication theory is used to complement the organizational communication model. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, documentation and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the organizational communication model carried out by the PKK RT 08 organization in implementing the Duren Waste Bank was declared successful. This can be seen from a clear understanding of communication so that it can be ensured that all organizations involved understand what is being said. This Organizational Communication Process can also be declared unsuccessful due to the lack of active participation in communication from the head of the waste bank in each of his work program activities, so that members often feel that leaders can only give orders without giving examples.

Abstract

This study presents the design and development of a non-verbal documentary video that visually narrates the decade of Joko Widodo’s administration in Indonesia. Using a practice-led approach, the research focuses on crafting a ten-minute documentary that emphasizes visual storytelling through natural sounds, ambient audio, emotive music, and readable subtitles to enhance accessibility and engagement. The production process involved three key stages: pre-production, production, and post-production, each emphasizing the aesthetic and communicative aspects of visual narrative. Evaluation was conducted using YouTube engagement indicators to assess viewer responses and interaction patterns. The findings reveal that the integration of human-interest visuals, contextual sound design, and data-driven graphics strengthens audience immersion and message retention. This study contributes to the field of visual communication design by offering practical insights into how non-verbal storytelling can effectively convey development narratives within limited duration and digital distribution platforms.
