Abstract

The West Pasaman Regency government hopes that Da’i Nagari can improve the religious life of the Muslim community in order to achieve the vision and mission. The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) to reveal the performance process of Da’i Nagari; (2) reveal the role of Da’i Nagari; (3) reveal the evaluation of Da’i Nagari; and (4) reveal the inhibiting factors of Da’i Nagari in improving the religious life of the Muslim community in West Pasaman Regency. The research subjects consisted of 6 Da’i Nagari people. Each nagari was taken by 2 Da’i Nagari who served in Nagari Koto Baru, Kapa and Lingkuang Aua. The 3 nagari are inhabited by Javanese, Minang and Batak (JAMBAK) tribes. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate, the process of improving the religious life of the Muslim community in West Pasaman Regency is related to how Da’i Nagari’s efforts to empower the community through religious programs. The materials given by Da’i Nagari to the community were selected according to the conditions of the people in West Pasaman Regency. Empowerment as a learning process is carried out by Da’i Nagari by teaching children in TPA. Da’i’s efforts to empower the community through religious programs such as sermons, lectures, TPA education, TPA guidance, and so on. Da’i Nagari also acts as a facilitator, educator, messenger and skills. Evaluation of the improvement of the religious life of the Muslim community is carried out by making comparisons between the data and facts obtained in the field, then reported to the nagari then the nagari party provides a report to the sub-district and to the welfare area. This report aims to assess the extent to which the activity process has been carried out. The inhibiting factor is the fanaticism of the community towards one mazhab and the availability of a limited budget and the lack of community participation in accepting the empowerment carried out by Da’i Nagari.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze in more depth the correlation between empowerment of gharim competency education and the level of worship of mosque communities in Kanagarian Kapa, West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra Province. The research method used is descriptive qualitative aimed at creating a systematic, factual and accurate description, picture of the facts, characteristics and relationships between the social phenomena studied. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using Data analysis using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity using triangulation techniques and sources. The results of the study showed that the correlation of empowerment of gharim competency education and the level of worship of mosque communities was very significant. The gharim competency education related to cleanliness applies five important points: 1) cleaning glass, mosque floors regularly; 2) maintaining the cleanliness of mosque carpets; 3) rearranging mukena, sarongs and the Qur'an; 4) maintaining the cleanliness of ablution places and toilets; 5) cleaning dust on mosque shelves and mosque ceilings. The empowerment materials of competency skill education are as follows: 1) Azan and iqamah, 2) Sermon, 3) Tilawah, 4) Lecture. This research is able to be a stimulator of increasing self-potential and professionalism of gharim performance significantly and has a correlation with increasing worship of the mosque community significantly so that this community service research has great potential to be applied in other areas.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk membangkitkan semangat dan terlepas dari beban psikologis musibah gempa bumi yang menimpa masyarakat Nagari Kajai menyebabkan trauma mendalam bagi mereka. Secara psikologis mereka yang terdampak sangat membutuhkan penangan serius melalui penguatan mental keagamaan dengan menerapkan pemberdayaan yang diperankan oleh dai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif bersifat eksperimen dengan menerapkan kegiatan rutin spiritual keagamaan dan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan observasi terlibat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan dakwah mampu menghilangkan trauma dan mengurangi beban psikologis korban bencana alam masyarakat di Nagari Kajai melalui bimbingan spiritual mampu menumbuhkan sikap sabar dan syukur, sikap qanaah, serta sikap ikhlas dan ridha terhadap segala ujian yang datang menimpa di mana semua sifat tersebut akhirnya mampu menepis trauma mendalam dan kembali pada fitrahnya sebagai hamba Allah SWT yang beriman. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan Dakwah, Bencana, dan Trauma. Abstract This research aims to raise enthusiasm and escape the psychological burden of the earthquake disaster that befell the people of Nagari Kajai, causing deep trauma for them. Psychologically, those affected really need serious treatment through strengthening their religious mentality by applying empowerment played by preachers. This research uses an experimental qualitative descriptive method by implementing routine religious spiritual activities and data obtained through interviews, documentation studies and involved observation. The results of the research show that the empowerment of da'wah is able to eliminate trauma and reduce the psychological burden of victims of natural disasters in the community in Nagari Kajai through spiritual guidance and is able to foster an attitude of patience and gratitude, an attitude of qanaah, as well as an attitude of sincerity and pleasure towards all the tests that come to befall them, where all these qualities ultimately able to ward off deep trauma and return to his nature as a faithful servant of Allah SWT.
