Abstract

The role of anesthesia nurses in the anesthesiology nursing care process is crucial in providing care to patients. One essential aspect that should not be overlooked in this process is documentation. Anesthesiology nursing care documentation (ASKAN) is a record that documents all actions performed by anesthesia nurses on patients. Students of the D4 Anesthesiology Nursing Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto face several challenges in using conventional reporting methods. This study aims to develop a nursing care documentation method using information technology through a computer-based application. The research and development method was employed in this study to design the application. Observations and interviews with students of the D4 Anesthesiology Nursing Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto were conducted to explore the researched phenomenon. The researchers designed the Anesthesia Electronic Medical Record (AREME) application for recording and documenting anesthesiology nursing care electronically. The development of the AREME application follows anesthesiology nursing care standards based on the ASKAN guidelines. The implementation of AREME in ASKAN documentation demonstrates that this application can facilitate the documentation process, which was previously conducted conventionally.

Abstract

Anxiety that occurs before Sectio Caesarea surgery is a natural thing, arising from facing something that has been or has never been experienced before. Therefore, an action is needed that can reduce the patient's anxiety level. Benson relaxation and Guided imagery therapy are two therapeutic non-pharmacological therapeutic measures that can be used to reduce the patient anxiety levels. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Benson relaxation and Guided imagery therapy on anxiety of pre-operative Sectio Caesarea patients at The Regional General Hospital. This study was conducted from February to March 2024 at Ajibarang Regional Hospital with the population in this study being all pre-operation sectio casaera patients at Ajibarang Regional Hospital, Ajibarang, Central Java. This study used a quantitative method, with a cross-sectional design. The sample in the study was 32 respondents who were taken by purposive sampling and then divided into two intervention groups with 16 respondents each for each intervention group. The data collection in this study is in the form of observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis using Paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect between Benson relaxation therapy and Guided imagery therapy on the anxiety levels in pre-operative Sectio Caesarea patients (p<0.001).

Abstract

Dysmenorrhoea is a painful disorder that most women experience every month. The impact that occurs if dysmenorrhea is left untreated or not treated properly is that it can cause disruption of daily activities, infertility, undetected pregnancy, ectopic cyst rupture, uterine perforation from the IUD and infection. Based on these impacts, dysmenorrhea must be treated immediately, so that these impacts do not interfere with daily activities or activities as well as a person's psychological condition. One non-pharmacological technique to reduce dysmenorrhea is SEFT therapy. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is a complementary therapy in the Mind-Body Therapy category, which can be used to treat physical problems including dysmenorrhea pain. Based on the description above, researchers are interested in researching "The Effect of SEFT Therapy on Dysmenorrhoea Pain Levels in UMP Students". The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SEFT therapy on the level of dysmenorrhoea pain in UMP students. The research design used a Quasi Experimental pre-test and post-test design without control group design. The sampling technique uses non-random sampling with total sampling. Data analysis used paired t-test. The results of the characteristics respondents showed that the average age of respondents is 20 years and the average duration of menstruation is 6 days with the shortest period being 3 days and the longest period being 9 days. The average dysmenorrhea pain level before therapy was 5.8 and the average dysmenorrhea pain level after therapy was 2.6. There is a difference in the level of dysmenorrhea pain before and after SEFT therapy with a p-value of 0.001. Conclusion: Providing SEFT therapy influences the level of dysmenorrhoea pain in UMP students.
