Abstract

The values of character building in students are a reflection of the institution in preparing future generations who have religious, tolerant, democratic and love the country’s characters. The purpose of this study is to describe character building for students, and the implementation of character building in the perspective of Pancasila. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study type of research. The results of the study illustrate that: (1) character building in students is seen in student discipline when attending lectures offline and online. In addition, student creativity when attending lectures is getting better with creative ideas, high curiosity leads students to have an attitude to ask questions and provide arguments in accordance with the experiences students have. character building for students is also seen in the responsibilities of students in submitting assignments for Pancasila Education courses in a timely manner; and (2) the implementation of character building in accordance with the perspective of Pancasila is manifested in the core values of Pancasila which are internalized in the first precept character building reflected in the behaviour of diligent worship, and tolerance between religious communities; the second precept is reflected in polite behaviour, mutual respect, and as an example; the third precept which is manifested through a sense of unity and oneness, a spirit of self-sacrifice, and love for the motherland; the fourth precept through the embodiment of always respecting the opinions of others, prioritizing deliberation for consensus, and upholding democracy; and the fifth precept through fairness in opinion, mutual welfare, and always respecting each other's self-actualization.

Abstract

Advances in technology and the times are increasingly global, require parents to adapt quickly to the changing times. The childcare has traditionally had started at the left along with the era of increasingly apparent disruption in sight. Parenting training objectives early childhood in an era of disruption is a response from the busyness of parents in making a living, rapid advances in technology, the rise of gadgets, social media, youtube, online games, and negative news. Training delivery methods using lectures, discussions and brainstorming group. Training processes with the assessment phase, the implementation phase, and the phase of assessment and evaluation phase. Training results illustrate that parents have started to realize the education of children in the age of disruption, the use of technology-based smart parenting, immune selfer, character education and religious values in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet. Parents educate children to have manners, polite, obedient worship, and establish good relationships with others, as well as parents provide love, security, smart in dealing with the times.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampaun berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di kelas XI-Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Muhammadiyah 10 Mantup Lamongan, sehingga perlu adanya alternatif dalam merancang model yang efektif. Salah satu model yang dianggap efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa adalah model pembelajran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Model pembelajaran tersebut mampu membantu siswa mengingat informasi penting dalam bacaan dengan cepat dan kreatif. Penelitian ini difokuskan kepada upaya meningkatkan kemampuan analisa dan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan model PBL. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebagai hasil penerpan model PBL. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang berjumlah 25 orang dan 1 orang guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di dalam kelas. Dari hasil wawancara dan observasi yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa sebelum model ini diterapkan hanya 12% siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis dan setelah dilakukan penerapan model ini siswa yang tadinya hanya 12% meningkat menjadi 80%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keaktifan siswa meningkat setelah diterapkannya model PBL. Oleh karena itu, model PBL dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam dunia pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam secara khusus dan mata pelajaran lainnya secara umum.This research is motivated by the low critical thinking ability of students in a lesson in class XI-TKJ SMK Muhammadiyah 10 Mantup Lamongan, so there needs to be an alternative in designing an effective model. One model that is considered effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in the classroom is the problem-based learning (PBL) model. This learning model is able to help students remember important information in reading quickly and creatively. This study focused on efforts to improve students' analytical and critical thinking skills through the application of the PBL model. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the improvement of students' critical thinking skills as a result of applying the PBL model. The research method used is qualitative method. The subjects in this study were 25 students and 1 subject teacher. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the application of the PBL model can improve students' critical thinking skills in the classroom. From the results of interviews and observations made, it was found that before this model was applied only 12% of students had critical thinking skills and after the application of this model students who were only 12% increased to 80%. This shows that student activeness increased after the application of the PBL model. Therefore, the PBL model can be used as an alternative in the world of learning.
