Abstract

Waste is a problem that has not been resolved properly in Depok City. To reduce the resulting impact, Rumah Harum Main Waste Bank implements community empowerment in waste management. The aim of the research is to analyze community empowerment in managing the Rumah Harum Main Waste Bank, as well as analyzing supporting and inhibiting factors of community empowerment. The theory used is the stages of community empowerment according to Wrihatnolo and Dwidjowijoto (2007) and community empowerment factors according to Anggraini, Noor, and Said (in Tullatifah, 2020) . This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data accumulation techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that community empowerment is carried out through three stages: awareness, capacity, and empowerment. Community empowerment in managing the Rumah Harum Main Waste Bank has not been running well. There is one stage of the third stage of empowerment that has not yet been underway, namely at the empowerment stage. Regarding supporting factors of empowerment consists of the involvement of surrounding communities and cooperation with other parties. Inhibiting factors of empowerment consist of indiscipline from waste bank customers and society's inappropriate mindset. Suggestions that can be given are training in making waste recycling products, training for administrators, improving waste bank customer discipline, and outreach involving several community leaders.

Abstract

Increasing stakeholder demand has driven firms to integrate environmental sustainability into their business strategies. Green accounting, encompassing environmental performance and green investment, has become a key approach to achieving these goals. This study examines the effect of green accounting on financial performance, with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a moderating variable. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted using quantitative data from financial and sustainability reports of publicly traded Indonesian firms (2021–2023). The findings indicate that environmental performance significantly enhances financial performance by improving legitimacy and operational efficiency. However, green investment does not directly influence financial performance, nor does CSR moderate it. While CSR independently strengthens financial performance, its moderating role in environmental performance negatively impacts short-term financial results, suggesting that CSR costs may outweigh immediate benefits. The study underscores the need for firms to optimize cost management and effectively communicate sustainability efforts to enhance stakeholder trust and long-term financial performance.

Abstract

The use of organic materials for the manufacture of fertilizers is an alternative to reduce waste in the environment. Fertilizer can be made using duck manure and paitan leaves (Tithinia diversifolia) which produce high levels of nutrients. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of N,P, and K as well as sensory test results which included color, texture, pH, and aroma of duck manure and paitan leaves with the addition of papaya peel bioactivator. This study used an experimental research method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern. The treatment factors were: Factor 1 weight of duck manure and sick leaves (B1: 300g duck manure+200g paitan leaves, B2: 200g duck manure + 300g paitan leaves), Factor 2: Addition of papaya skin waste bioactivator (P1: 25ml MOL of papaya skin waste , P2: MOL of papaya skin waste 30ml) data analysis used a qualitative descriptive study. The results showed that the best quality was the N test, namely the B1P2 treatment (5.34%), the P test, namely the B2P2 treatment (0.15%),the K test, namely the B2P2 treatment (0.47%).The results showed that the best quality was B1P2 which produced black fertilizer, loose texture, earthy aroma and had a pH of 6.
