Abstract

Energy audits are evaluation activities carried out to determine the condition of the energy used in a system. Audits are carried out to provide the efficiency of an electrical system. The first energy audit conducted was the initial energy audit. By using the specifications of the installed electrical system and using monitoring data. Followed by a detailed energy audit, to determine the condition of a more specific electrical system. The data used is measurement/monitoring data, and data calculations are then compared with the provision of the electricity standard. In calculating the intensity of energy consumption in the initial energy audit process, the IKE Fave Hotel results were still by the standards with an IKE value of 213.59 kWh/m2. Meanwhile, based on the results of a detailed energy audit, it was found that the lighting system and cooling system were not up to standard because the lux results for several rooms showed results that were less than the lux standard. Thus, it is necessary to provide recommendations for improvements to the lighting and cooling system. Providing lighting recommendations can use dialux as a calculation comparison. In the lighting system, it is necessary to replace some of the lamp specifications installed because they are far from standard values. This also needs to be done on the cooling system, by replacing the installed air conditioner according to existing calculations. This replacement was carried out to save energy for the continuity of the hospitality industry process at Fave Hotel Malang.

Abstract

Fave Hotel is supplied by 2 PLN transformers, with capacities of 250 kVA and 100 kVA. The supply of electrical energy at Fave Hotel is very important because the possibility of disruption is very large in the process of distributing electrical energy. Load variations at Fave Hotel will also affect the electrical system. One of the disturbances that occur in the electric power system is power quality. The research method used is data observation, monitoring, analysis, and simulation using ETAP software. Based on the results of the analysis of various power quality parameters that were measured, the power quality conditions of the fave hotel were not good. A power quality problem has been identified at Fave Hotel, specifically a voltage imbalance occurs at MDP 2 on weekend is 2.64%. In addition, there is also a current imbalance occurs at MDP 1 and 2 during both weekends and weekdays, with the largest current imbalance occurs at MDP 2 on weekdays is 64.15%. To overcome the problem of voltage imbalance and current imbalance, it is recommended to perform load balancing on the system or install compensating equipment such as a voltage compensator.

Abstract

The actions for electricity consumption more efficiently is reducing the amount of electricity consumption of renewable and non renewable energy for human living sustainability or we can called energy conservation. Energy audit purposed to the energy utilization evaluation progress, is still infrequently applied in Indonesia, especially in huge building. The analyzing result of A building in the Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Asylum, the first value audit of Energy Use Intensity (EUI) is 21,944 kwh/m2/year it was include the criteria of efficient. This EUI value is below EUI research that was issued by ASEAN-USAID in 1992 and the EUI value average of hospital in Korea, while detailed audit obtained energy value of EUI is 23,213 kWh/m2/year is included to the criteria of efficient. The THDi value in electricity system is IR= 33,2%, IS=24,48%, IT= 34,85% and IN=122,96%, the THDi value is not complied with IEEE 519-2014 permission which is the value is ISC/IL> 1000 has restraint value by 20%. Whereas the THDv value in electricity system is VR-S= 2,04%, VS-T= 2,11%, VT-R= 1,97%, VR-N= 3,83%, VS-N= 3,69%, VT-N= 3,73% and VL-L= 2,04% and VL-N= 3,75%, the value of THDv is complied the permissiod by IEEE 519-2014 with Voltage system of identification by 0,4 kV, therefore the limit value of THDV which permitted is 8%.

Abstract

In order to meet the needs of electrical energy, PT X. receives electricity supply from PLN as the main source while the generator with a total capacity of 2.228,5 KVA as a backup electricity supply. PT X plans to procure a double feeder as a backup power supply to replace the generator set in the hope of getting a more economical backup power supply. So, the purpose of this study are analyzing the planning and technical calculations for the construction of a premium feeder, analyzing the comparisono f the use of generator setting with double feeder from economic point of view, and analyzing the comparison of the efficiency of using generator setting with the use double feeder. The method used in this study was the IRR (Internal Rate of Return) method to determine the value of the rate of return on investment while the SAIDI – SAIFI data was used to determine the reability of the feeder. The result of this research is the double feeder using MVTIC type construction. For Rp/kWh, the use of premium service, namely B3/TM customers is Rp. 1.162,78 per kWh and B2/TM Rp. 1.574,7 per kWh, while Rp/kWh generator setting is Rp. 4.003 per kWh. Meanwhile the double feeder IRR values is 44% and the generator setting is 24%. So, it is more efficient to use PLN premium service.

Abstract

Load imbalance in electrical distribution transformers can lead to significant power losses and decreased efficiency in electrical distribution systems. This study focuses on the load imbalance problem at the Unicora feeder of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Singosari, which hinders optimal operational efficiency. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the extent of load imbalance, its impact on power losses, and the effectiveness of load balancing interventions in mitigating these losses. The methodology includes phase load measurements from February to September 2021, analysis of load imbalance, and power loss simulations using ETAP 12.6.0 software. The study's important findings indicate that the average load imbalance decreased from 34% to 21% after implementing load balancing interventions. Concurrently, power losses in the neutral conductor were reduced from 106.3 kW to 78.0 kW. ETAP simulations revealed a total power loss of 773.5 kW in the Unicora feeder, underscoring the significant impact of load imbalance on system efficiency. The implications of this research are crucial for operational practices at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Singosari. The findings demonstrate that effective load balancing can significantly enhance distribution efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve the reliability of electricity provision. This study advocates for continuous monitoring and adaptive management of load distribution in electrical networks to maintain optimal performance and sustainability.

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to minimize disruptions in the feeder at ULP Pandaan by analyzing the coordination between recloser outgoing and incoming feeders. This study addressed the frequent issue of recloser trips, which caused instability in power supply. The purpose of this research was to provide conclusions and solutions to mitigate these disruptions. The methodology involved a detailed analysis of OCR (Over Current Relay) settings for protective devices on Trawas feeder. This included measurements of primary current settings and TMS (Time Multiplier Setting) values using both standard inverse and normal inverse configurations. Specific settings, such as 25518 A for the Trawas Recloser primary current and a TMS of 0.07, were determined to yield optimal performance. Additional settings for the Outgoing CB (Circuit Breaker) (357061 A, TMS 0.04) and the Incoming CB (181865 A, TMS 1.0) were also established. The important findings revealed that these settings significantly enhanced the reliability of the protective devices, ensuring better coordination between the recloser and CB systems. The implications of this research were substantial, as the optimized settings were expected to reduce the frequency and impact of feeder disruptions. This improvement in system reliability directly benefited both the electricity provider, PT. PLN (Persert), and the consumers by providing a more stable and efficient power supply. In conclusion, this study offered a comprehensive analysis and practical solutions for enhancing the protection system's performance on the Trawas feeder, which could be applied to similar electrical distribution networks to achieve better stability and reliability.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the concept of tolerance practiced by Western societies in the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith . This research used techniques of content analysis and library research to analyze the data and interpret its meaning since the researcher relies heavily on documents as the main sources of information. From this research it is concluded that the formation of the pattern of tolerance doctrine between Islam and the West is very different. The doctrine of tolerance in Islam is not shaped by history, but is an integral part of the Islamic heritage. Unlike the West, whose doctrine of tolerance is shaped by history due to abuse of power. That is why equating the Islamic doctrine of tolerance with the doctrine of tolerance in the West is incorrect.

Abstract

Konsep urban farming merupakan konsep penanaman yang dilakukan di perkotaan dengan memanfaatkan lahan tanam yang terbatas. Salah satu UMKM di Kota Malang yang bergerak di bidang urban farming yaitu PT Tanduria Agromedia Indonesia, berdiri pada tahun 2021. PT Tanduria Agromedia Indonesia menerapkan konsep ini dengan objek tanaman yaitu tomat dan mentimun pada lahan seluas ± 100 m2. Sistem penyiraman masih dilakukan secara manual dengan ketergantungan pada manusia yang menyebabkan tidak meratanya irigasi setiap area penanaman. Selain itu, ketergantungan terhadap ketersediaan air Perumda Tugu Tirta juga mempengaruhi waktu penyiraman jika terjadi gangguan distribusi air. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu mitra yaitu dengan menerapkan sistem irigasi “drip system” agar proses penyiraman setiap tanaman dapat merata. Teknik penyiraman ini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas tanam dan efisiensi lahan tanam melalui pemasangan instalasi kelistrikan pompa air yang dapat mengatur debit air tandon maupun proses irigasi.
