Abstract

This study is a research and development which aims to develop Thematic Apps applications in the form of android mobile learning media for elementary school students. This development research was carried out using the Four-D model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Media validation is carried out by three experts, namely media experts, material experts, and linguists. The media developed is tested in a limited and broad manner. Limited trials were conducted in the fifth grade of Keniten 2 Public Elementary School while extensive trials were conducted in Windujaya Public Elementary School and Karangnangka Public Elementary School. Based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and linguists obtained an average score on the material aspects of 72.5 (Fairly Worthy), on the media aspect of 85.5 (Very Worthy), and on the language aspect by 75.0 (Worth ) Based on the response from two class V teachers, it showed that the average score of respondents 1 was 98.46% and from respondents 2 that the average score reached 83.08% with the category "Very Worthy". Based on the response of students in the development test obtained an average score on the repodusibility coefficient reaches an average of 0.5 while the scalbility coefficient reaches an average of 1.0 with the category "Very Eligible". The results of the validation test for improving student achievement are conducted using pretest and posttest obtained a gain value of 0.5 classified (Moderate).

Abstract

This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of the concept of gamification learning models in vocabulary learning in Elementary Schools. Several opinion analyses are discussed in depth, reviewed from the topic of readiness for learning implementation, effectiveness, and its influence in improving vocabulary memorization skills. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with elementary school teachers from a number of schools and different grade levels as subjects. The data collection technique was carried out through interviews, namely by displaying a number of questions in a form that was filled in directly in the form of an opinion description. The results of the study showed that teachers were not yet ready to apply the gamification learning model, because their provisions and foundations in developing new teaching methods were still minimal. Teachers need technical guidance regarding insights into planning and technological innovation. However, teachers believe that the concept of gamification will be effective if applied in teaching English vocabulary. This model is quite interesting, presenting interactive features in it that can form a collaborative learning between peers so as to foster social values, skills and enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran di MI yang belum melibatkan teknologi AI dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk mengkaji kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam rangka pemberian edukasi dan penjelasan kepada para guru MI Nurul Haromain, yang berlokasi di Kulon Progo, DIY. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) diintegrasikan dalam pendeketan deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tutorial pembuatan media pembelajaran Infografis berbantu aplikasi Piktochart. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni mendeskripsikan bagaimana tutorial pembuatan media pembelajaran Infografis berbantu aplikasi Piktochart. Penyampaian materi pembelajaran yang belum menggunakan data dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah. Padahal adanya media pembelajaran Infografis membantu guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa secara terukur. Penyajian Kumpulan data yang dikemas dalam bentuk media Infografis akan lebih memudahkan siswa dalam belajar dan menyamakan satu persepsi dari materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Dengan demikian, keterlibatan AI dalam pembelajaran salah satu nya menggunakan aplikasi Piktochart lebih khusus untuk pembuatan media Infografis bagi siswa MI.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for innovation in educational assessment, particularly in mathematics learning at the elementary school level, which requires accurate identification of students’ prior knowledge. This study aims to analyze the needs and urgency of integrating ChatGPT and Python in the development of diagnostic assessments for elementary school mathematics learning. The study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. The research subjects were elementary school teachers in Kranggan District, Temanggung Regency, selected through incidental sampling. The research instrument was a needs analysis questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results indicate that the average response percentage reached 83%, which falls into the “strongly agree” category, demonstrating a high level of teachers’ need for diagnostic assessments based on the integration of ChatGPT and Python. These findings confirm that the utilization of artificial intelligence and programming technologies has the potential to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy of diagnostic assessments in elementary school mathematics learning. This study provides an initial contribution to the development of technology-based diagnostic assessments as an innovative solution aligned with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum and 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The rapid acceleration of digital disruption has significantly transformed elementary education, particularly in relation to the learning characteristics of Generation Alpha and the implementation of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum. In this context, lower primary teachers are required to possess adaptive professional competencies that integrate pedagogical expertise, digital literacy, and ethical awareness. This study aims to explore the professional competence of lower-grade elementary teachers in responding to digital disruption during the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum for Generation Alpha learners, as well as to identify supporting and constraining factors influencing this competence. Employing an exploratory qualitative approach, the study involved nine lower-grade teachers from an Islamic elementary school in Yogyakarta selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using open-ended online questionnaires and analyzed through thematic analysis. The findings reveal that teachers strongly recognize Generation Alpha as digital native learners and acknowledge digital competence as a core component of professionalism. This study concludes that strengthening teachers’ digital pedagogical competence through continuous, context-based professional development is essential for effective curriculum implementation. The study contributes to the literature by providing empirical insights into lower primary teacher professionalism within digital transformation and curriculum reform contexts.
