Abstract

Sayyid Ja'far Sodiq or known as Sunan Kudus is a figure who has an important role in the entry of Islam in Kudus. The multicultural Holy Society has a unique typology in morals, science and economics, known as "Gusjigang", Bagus-having good behavior), Ji (Ngaji-good at reciting the Qur'an) and Gang (Dagang —good at trading). The identity crisis brings human consciousness to explore the wealth, wisdom and excellence contained in local culture, build and strengthen the identity and pride of the nation. Modernization or more accurately said as Westernization on the one hand is able to achieve rapid progress, but on the other hand it fails to achieve prosperity for nature and humans. This study reveals the influence and relevance of Gusjigang from Kanjeng Sunan Kudus in moderating Islam in Kudus in life with a unique format and typology that is able to become a new concept for the development of morals, science and economics (trade) so as to create a prosperous and prosperous society.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to review the use of the Android app E-Social Learning in social studies education, as a step towards internalizing the values of local wisdom Gusjigang. The research methodology employed is qualitative with a field study approach. Primary data collection was conducted through fieldwork using observations and interviews, while secondary data was gathered from relevant previous research literature. Credibility testing was performed using the Triangulation technique. Data analysis followed the steps outlined by Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of this study indicate that the use of the E-Social Learning application to internalize the values of local wisdom Gusjigang in social studies education is carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. Teachers and students responded positively and enthusiastically to this method of learning, citing the integration of local wisdom Gusjigang with technology as a key factor. SWOT-based evaluation identified strengths in preventing student boredom during the learning process, weaknesses related to reliance on internet connections and device specifications, opportunities for students to learn about culture through integration with technology, and threats including potential reluctance to open and read books, as well as increased dependence on smartphones. This research provides a new contribution to the development of teaching methods that integrate local culture with modern technology. The SWOT-based evaluation used in this study provides profound insights into the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with the application of technology in local cultural education.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Tahfidzul Qur'an with character education at the Yanbu'ul Qur'an Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School in Menawan Village. Utilizing a library research method, the study examines how Quran memorization (Tahfidzul Qur'an) is systematically embedded into the educational framework to foster noble character traits among students, such as discipline, politeness, solidarity, religious character, and patriotism. The analysis highlights the interactions and activities within halaqah sessions, identifying them as critical moments for character development. Furthermore, this research addresses a gap in the existing literature by investigating the specific role of Quran memorization in character formation, a topic that has been insufficiently explored in previous studies. The findings indicate that the structured memorization of the Qur'an, alongside targeted character education strategies, significantly contributes to the holistic development of students, offering a robust model for character education in similar Islamic educational institutions.
