Abstract

This study aims to determine the thoughts of  Buya Hamka and Mohammad Natsir regarding integralistic Islamic education and to identify the similarities and differences in the thoughts of the two figures regarding integralistic Islamic education. This research is motivated by the development of Islamic education in Indonesia as well as the covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the concept of integralistic Islamic education which combines worldly and ukhrawi elements becomes one of the solutions in the midst of educational change. Buya Hamka and Mohammad Natsir are national Islamic figures who lived at the same time but have different educational backgrounds.This type of research is a type of library research (library research). The research approach in this study uses historical and philosophical approaches and data analysis uses history and comparative analysis. The results of this study conclude that the concept of integralistic Islamic education thought according to Buya Hamka and Mohammad Natsir is guidance that combines ukhrawi elements (morals, spiritual, emotional) and worldly elements (intellect, body, skills) based on tawhid to complement human nature and lead humans to their original nature. Then the similarity of the two concepts is in the meaning, educational goals, students, and material that must cover the science of religion and the world. While the differences appear in the curriculum, educators, educational environment, and learning methods.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a moral shift among the younger generation, especially students at school, especially in relationships. Many students have bad morals such as like to badmouth their friends, like to prank friends and behave impolitely towards teachers and parents. This study aims to describe the etiquette of association and friendship according to al-Ghazālī's Bidāyatul Hidāyah book and identify the relevance of social and friendship etiquette according to al-Ghazālī's Bidāyatul Hidāyah book on the formation of student character. This type of research is a type of library research with qualitative research and data analysis using content analysis with a descriptive approach.  The results of this study conclude that the concepts of etiquette of al-Ghazālī's perspective and its relevance to character building is: 1). Etiquette to students, setting a good example to students; 2). Etiquette to the teacher, respect him by greeting first when you meet him; 3) Etiquette to Parents, Doing good and respecting them, without having to be asked by them first; 4). Etiquette to others, Always close and don't spread the disgrace of your friends

Abstract

teenagers, especially vocational schools, who are experiencing a moral decline. One of its missions is to develop religious character. However, not all students can apply religious values. Therefore, one of the ways is through Islamic spiritual activities (Rohis) which are Islamic organizations in schools to improve the religious character of students. There are also many issues that state that Rohis have become a radical organization and that intolerance has developed in the school environment. The purpose of this research is to find out the forms of Spiritual extracurricular activities that can improve the religious character of students and the results of the role of Spiritual extracurricular activities in improving the religious character of students. The approach used is a qualitative approach. While the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results obtained in this study indicate that in the process of character formation through various Islamic spiritual activities including chanting asmaul husna, studies, PHBI, training of trainers and vocal grub sholawatan. It turns out that in spiritual activities this has not been fully realized, for example Habblum Minallah, Hablum Minannas which is more dominant which has been realized and for Hablum Minal'Alam only in certain activities that can be realized. The implication of the research is to increase the religious character of students through Islamic spiritual activities (Rohis) in the form of Islamic forums, teaching and da'wah.
