Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know jihad meaning of Ta'mirul Islam boarding school leader and Darusy Shahadah boarding school leader, the model and the differences and similarities of education are applied at jihad in Ta'mirul Islam Boarding School and Darusy Syahadah boarding school 2015-2016. Type of research is a field research with qualitative methods with primary and secondary data sources, that obtained from informants in  Ta'mirul Islam Boarding School and Darusy Syahadah boarding school, this data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis technique used inductive method. These results indicate that: Ta'mirul Islam boarding school leader said that meaning of jihad in accordance with the theory of Yusuf Qordowi as seriusly form of doing things. Ta'mirul Islam boarding school avoids the sense of narrowing the meaning of jihad as war. Darusy Syahadah boarding school recognizes both the meaning of jihad, either in a general sense and still looks jihad with war that must be planted in deep inside a Muslim. Jihad educational model those are applied in Ta'mirul Islam boarding school  namely: Jaulah, mujahādah, education, social Jihad, economics Jihad, education organization, said the right words to despotic leaders, the devotion of one year after graduation. Darusy Syahadah applied namely: physical Jihad, passions jihad, faith jihad, social jihad, propaganda jihad, education jihad, media jihad. Similarities of jihad education model between both boarding are namely: propaganda jihad, second: passions and devils jihad, third: amar ma‘rūf nahī munkar, fourth: education jihad. The difference between them are Ta'mirul Islam boarding school used of economic jihad jihad and said the right words to  despotic leader, while Darusy Syahadah did not. Darusy Syahadah boarding school implemented physical education model while Ta'mirul Islam boarding school did not apply that model.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna jihad menurut Pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam dan Pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Darusy Syahadah, model serta perbedaan dan persamaan pendidikan jihad yang diterapkan  Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam dan Pondok Pesantren Darusy Syahadah 2015-2016. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan dengan metode kualitatif dengan sumber data primer dan sekunder, yang diperoleh dari informan di Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam dan Darusy Syahadah, Teknik pengumpulan data ini menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu metode induktif. Hasil penelitian yaitu: Pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam dalam memaknai jihad sesuai dengan teori Yusuf Qordowi sebagai bentuk kesungguh-sungguhan dalam melakukan sesuatu,. Pondok pesantren Ta’mirul Islam menghindari pengertian dari penyempitan makna dari jihad itu yakni jihad yang bermakna perang. Pimpinan Pondok pesantren Darusy Syahadah mengakui kedua makna jihad, baik dalam makna umum dan tetap memamdang jihad dengan perang sebagai makna yang harus tetap di tanamkan secara mendalam dalam diri seorang muslim. Model pendidikan jihad yang di terapkan pondok pesantren Ta’mirul Islam yakni: Jaulah, mujāhadah, Pendidikan, Jihad sosial, Jihad ekonomi, Pendidikan organisasi, mengatakan perkataan yang benar kepada pemimpin yang zalim, pengabdian setahun pasca kelulusan. Model pendidikan jihad Darusy Syahadah yakni: Jihad fisik, jihad hawa nafsu, jihad aqidah, jihad sosial, jihad dakwah, jihad pendidikan, jihad media. Persamaan model pendidikan jihad antara keduanya yaitu: jihad dakwah, kedua: jihad hawa nafsu dan syaitan, ketiga: jihad amar ma‘rūf nahī munkar,keempat: jihad pendidikan. Perbedaan diantara keduanya yaitu Ta’mirul Islam menggunakan model jihad ekonomi dan model jihad dengan mengatakan perkataan yang benar dihadapan penguasa yang zalim, sedangkan Darusy Syahadah tidak menggunkannya. Darusy Syahadah menerapkan model pendidikan jihad fisik sedangkan Ta’mirul Islam sendiri tidak menerapakan model tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the importance of the role of the principal in developing a religious culture in schools. This study uses a qualitative approach aimed at describing and analyzing natural phenomena, events, social activities regarding the development of religious culture through the internalization of moral and religious values at SMPN 4 Boyolali. Documentation, observation and interviews are the methods used to collect data.  Meanwhile, the technique of analyzing and analyzing the data is using data reduction, categorizing the checking of the validity of the data and interpreting the data. The results of this study indicate that developing a religious culture in schools requires systematic policies and concepts.

Abstract

An educational institution will be able to actualize democratic education in its school environment holistically as described by Zamroni (2011)  must at least integrate three important elements in a school. The three elements are the structure, the culture of the school, and the educational process carried out by teachers. Previous literature studies show that the integration of the three elements has not been maximally actualized in educational institutions. This research will explain the actualization of democratic education through the reorientation of the democratic education process through the development of extracurricular activities of modern Islamic boarding school Assalaam Surakarta Indonesia. To achieve the research objectives, this study uses a qualitative approach with three data collection techniques: interviews, documentation, observations. The results of this study show that the actualization of democratic education in the boarding school environment through the development of extracurricular activities can be done by reorienting extracurricular activities. At least the reorientation process can be carried out in the early stages, namely, the use of extracurricular activities proportionately and professionally, to carry out the management of the extracurricular based on democratic values and develop extracurricular activities in a structured and planned manner to develop democratic values gradually and continuously.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding School has the main task to develop religious values in students. But on the other hand, boarding schools must develop social intelligence by actualizing multicultural education. This research aims to find out the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning that contains multicultural values in Islamic boarding school Darusy Syahadah Simo Boyolali. This type of research is field research, with qualitative descriptive methods and using a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques use interview, observation, and documentation methods. While the data analysis technique used is interpretive descriptive analysis. There are three results from this study. First, learning planning seen from the perspective of multicultural education has contained multicultural values such as the value of togetherness, and the value of democracy is seen in the learning planning process which involves many parties to conduct group discussions (musyawarah). While the value that contradicts multicultural values is born from the non-creation of products from the planning process in the form of learning tools such as syllabuses and documented learning implementation plans. Second, the implementation of his learning is seen from the strategies used that have contained multicultural values such as the values of democracy, tolerance, justice, togetherness, peace, solidarity. While the contradictory value of multicultural values there are values of injustice and the value of discrimination in interacting between students and teachers in the process of learning activities. Third, the evaluation of learning contains multicultural values in terms of processes and products such as democratic values, values of justice, diversity, tolerance, peace. At the same time, there is also a contradictory value characterized by the value of a conflict, hegemony, and dominance among the students in interacting daily in the environment of Islamic boarding school Darusy Syahadah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the Direct Method is applied in learning Arabic at the Ta'mirul Islamic Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta and also the factors that support its success. There is a problem behind the researchers because the Ta'mirul Islam Islamic Boarding School has been designed to use Arabic and English as a language to communicate, practice speaking skills without using the mother tongue, and also the importance of using methods in learning, especially in the use of the Direct Method. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type of research that is by observing a phenomenon to understand a symptom. This study uses the theory of Miles and Huberman, namely data analysis in 3 ways, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The data obtained by the researcher is by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research that have been obtained are the application of the Direct Method (Direct Method) in learning Arabic starting from the making of the syllabus, I'dadu tadris, the process of implementing learning, and also evaluating verbally and in writing at the end of learning. The supporting factors are Factors located in the cottage environment, Arabic language teaching teachers, the selection of learning methods and media, supporting facilities and infrastructure, interest in students and motivation given by teachers, additional extracurricular activities in the cottage.

Abstract

The five souls of the Islamic boarding school are the spirit of the boarding school that makes the foundation and guidelines for behavior. The five five souls of the boarding school are not just a slogan but also a guideline for students and are character education that is formed for students, the process of forming the character of students based on the five five souls of the cottage through activities carried out every day. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of Panca Jiwa Pondok in the Character Building of the Santri of the Ta'mirul Islamic Boarding School in Sragen and describe the obstacles in the implementation of the Ta'mirul Islam Islamic Boarding School in shaping the character of the Santri of the Ta'mirul Islam Islamic Boarding School in Sragen. This type of research uses qualitative methods. In data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. While the validity of the data test using triangulation of sources and techniques. The research location is at the Ta'mirul Islam Masaran Islamic Boarding School Sragen with the research subjects namely, Deputy Leaders of Islamic Boarding Schools, Student Care, 5th grade students of KMI.The results of this study are: 1. Implementation of the Panca Jiwa Pondok in the Character Building of the Ta'mirul Islam Islamic Boarding School students through the management of Pondok activities. Activities designed by the leader of the boarding school along with their caregivers and ustadz to shape the character of the students referring to the five souls. 2. Constraints experienced in the Implementation of the Five Souls of Pondok in the Character Building of the Ta'mirul Islamic Boarding School Santri, namely from the students and from the ustadz. The role of both greatly influences the ustadz, emulated from all aspects by the students. Lack of istiqomah some ustadz in giving examples to students, less often around checking the activities and supervision of students, some students still lack of awareness in obeying the rules of the boarding school, some students also have not fully obeyed the rules and also sometimes invite their friends to violate the rules, and the role of guardians of students also affect.

Abstract

Problem manajemen kinerja pada lembaga pendidikan Islam masih kerap sekedar untuk penilaian formal berkala demi kenaikan pangkat/jabatan. Lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah yang berjumlah fantastis, ternyata tidak serta merta secara keseluruhan memperlihatkan competitive advantage-nya (keunggulan bersaing). Sekolah-sekolah Muhammadiyah di wilayah pedesaan Wonogiri kerap dinilai tata kelolanya asal jalan, dilabel sekolah buangan, kalah bersaing dengan sekolah negeri, dan dipandang sebelah mata oleh masyarakat. Lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah diharapkan keluar dari situasi tersebut dengan keunggulan bersaing melalui manajemen kinerja Penelitian lapangan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menekankan analisis data berupa kata-kata tertulis maupun lisan dan gambar. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode induktif melalui beberapa langkah, yaitu: pengumpulan data dibarengi dengan reduksi data, menyajikan data dalam bentuk narasi dan deskripsi, lalu menarik kesimpulan. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa manajemen kinerja dalam mencapai competitive advantage pada SD Muhammadiyah PK Pracimantoro dan SD Muhammadiyah Inovatif Baturetno, dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan. Pertama, perencanaan meliputi: penentuan tujuan, rekrutmen guru dan tenaga kependidikan, perjanjian kinerja. Kedua, pelaksanaan. Pada tahap pelaksanaan manajemen kinerja mengandung beberapa aktivitas, yaitu: pembinaan disiplin, motivasi, pengembangan kompetensi, dan penghargaan. Ketiga, evaluasi kinerja ditempuh dengan dua pendekatan, yaitu formal dan informal. Proses tersebut dilakukan untuk mewujudkan keunggulan sekolah pada aspek-aspek pendidikan antara lain: (1) Lokasi; (2) Keunggulan nilai, yang meliputi: kurikulum, layanan pendidikan, tenaga pendidik, sarana-prasarana, program pendidikan, dan prestasi lulusan.

The specific purpose of this research is: (1) To find out the level of professional Competence of vocational teachers in understanding the Curriculum in 2013 in Bengkulu City; (b) To find out the level of pedagogic Competence of vocational teachers in understanding the Curriculum in 2013 in Bengkulu City; (c) To find out the level of personality competence of vocational teachers in understanding the Curriculum in 2013 in Bengkulu City; (d) To find out the level of social Competence of vocational teachers in understanding the 2013 curriculum in Bengkulu City. This research method uses a descriptive-analytical research approach. This research wants to describe the basic competency level of vocational teachers in understanding the Curriculum in 2013. This research place is at SMK in Bengkulu City. The population in this research were all vocational teachers in Bengkulu City. This research sample relates to the level of Competence of vocational teachers in understanding the Curriculum in 2013, amounting to 50 teachers. Sampling is used using random sampling techniques with lottery techniques—data collection techniques using questionnaires and documents. Questionnaires are used to trace data on the basic level of Competence of vocational teachers in understanding the Curriculum in 2013. To see and prove that the questionnaire is valid is done expert validation. The document was used to collect data on the number of teachers in SMK Kota Bengkulu. After the data is verified, processed with statistical percentage techniques, analyzed, and made conclusions. The study concluded that: (1) The level of pedagogical Competence of teachers of SMK Kota Bengkulu in understanding the Curriculum in 2013 amounted to 52% (Very UnderstandingUnderstanding) and 48% (Sufficient Understanding); (2) The level of professional Competence of teachers of SMK Kota Bengkulu in understanding the Curriculum in 2013 amounted to 31.5% (Sufficient Understanding) and 68.5 % (Very UnderstandingUnderstanding); (3) The level of personality competence of teachers of SMK Kota Bengkulu in understanding the Curriculum in 2013 amounted to 17.3% (Sufficient Understanding) and 82.6 % (Very UnderstandingUnderstanding); (4) The level of social Competence of teachers of SMK Kota Bengkulu in understanding the Curriculum in 2013 amounted to 42.4% (Sufficient Understanding) and 56.6% (Very UnderstandingUnderstanding).

Abstract

human life, including in the world of education. However, behind the rapid development that has occurred, it turns out that there is also a severe problem, namely the crisis of values which includes morals, manners, and human spirituality. The emergence and development of these problems stem from a secular worldview, where God and religion are not central and influential in life activities. This has resulted in the deconsecration of values, which in the end everything that is done in life is only materialistic. Even in the education sector, it is more directed to produce pragmatic education so the education mostly only prioritizes job skills without paying attention to the morality of educational output. Therefore, many people have the skills to work, but in terms of morals, etiquette, and spirituality, they are left behind. This differs diametrically from the Islamic worldview which makes God the primary goal of life. Thus, Islam does not experience problems regarding the relationship of religion and life. Islam views on education is not only to fulfill worldly needs but also more than that, education is something that people needs to make themselves the best human being (Insan Kamil). Education in Islam also serves to get closer to Allah SWT, with the increase of knowledge that people gain through education, the quality of their worship of Allah SWT will also increase. Therefore, the worldview of values in education will determine how the process and the output of education itself. Assuming that the worldview has been embedded in educators and students. Then, the value of education will be the value of quality, because the educational process carried out of aims to produce quality outputs and outcomes. This is the reason why S.M.N al-Attas uses the concept of Ta’dib orders to instill the values that need to be built in Islamic education. Hence, this article is expected to provide the following implications: First, the shift in the worldview of educators and students; Second, provide orientation to the process of Islamic education; Third, encourage improvements and refinements to the process of Islamic education.
