Abstract

Public bureaucratic practices are frequently criticized for being impolite, unfriendly, discriminatory, and for having service systems that are non-transparent, complicated, and do not guarantee certainty in terms of time and costs. These issues arise from a lack of transparency and accountability in public service implementation. Transparency involves the freedom to access information, while accountability ensures that activities are carried out responsibly and answerable to the public. This research explores the relationship between accountability and transparency in government agency management through a literature review. The study analyzes 30 journals from state and private universities, published between 2018 and 2023, to understand their impact on government performance. Data was collected from Google Scholar using the keywords "accountability and transparency." Strict criteria and limitations were applied to ensure the relevance and suitability of the data for this research. The findings emphasize the importance of accountability and transparency in improving the performance of government entities at various levels, including regional, city, and village governments, as well as organizations. These concepts are crucial for addressing issues related to performance, finance, and budget management. The study highlights the need for further research to explore these relationships in depth and to develop frameworks for better public service delivery. By integrating accountability and transparency into government operations, public trust can be restored, and the efficiency and effectiveness of public services can be significantly enhanced. This literature review serves as a reference for future studies and practical applications aimed at improving the management and performance of government agencies and organizations.

Abstract

Abstract

HIGHLIGHTS Analysis of maternal and fetal risk factors associated with postpartum hemorrhage, comparing data from both developed and developing countries. There are differences in the risk factors for postpartum hemorrhage between developed and developing countries.   ABSTRACT Objective: This study aimed to assess maternal and fetal risk factors for post-partum hemorrhage in both developed and developing countries. Materials and Methods: A systematic review methodology was employed, incorporating a descriptive design. The study followed Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) techniques, the PCC framework, and the PRISMA-ScR checklist. Article searches were conducted across four databases: Research Rabbit, Science Direct, Wiley, and PubMed. Articles published in English between 2019 and 2024 that met the inclusion criteria were selected. The search terms included combinations of “Postpartum women” OR “Puerperium” AND “Risk factors” OR "Risky conditions” AND “Postpartum hemorrhag*” “Postpartum bleeding” and “Developed countr*” AND “Developing countr*”. Results: Out of 906 articles, 20 met the inclusion criteria, representing both developed and developing countries. The findings were categorized into two themes: risk factors in developed versus developing countries. In developed countries, PPH risk factors are often linked to medical interventions and prolonged labor management, while in developing countries, the focus shifts to conditions like anemia, uterine overdistension, and trauma from delivery practices. Sociocultural disparities further exacerbate risks in both settings. Conclusion: The study reveals significant differences in PPH risk factors between developed and developing countries. By reviewing existing research, it identifies factors that can influence PPH occurrence. The findings emphasize the need for developing policies to screen pregnant, maternity, and postpartum women to mitigate PPH risk.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the herding behavior of LQ-45 shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021-2023 period and determine the influence of market returns and market capitalization on herding behavior. The total sample in this study was 58 companies listed in the LQ-45 stock index for the 2021-2023 period. The analytical method used is Generalized Least Square (GLS) analysis. The research results show that there is no herding behavior on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the 2021-2023 period, which means investors are rational and do not follow market movements or the actions of other investors. This research also found a relationship between market capitalization and herding behavior, where the greater the market capitalization, the lower the herding behavior. This research makes an important contribution to understanding market behavior and the factors that influence it.
