Abstract

Parents of children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) face challenges that put them at high levels of stress. Self- esteem can reduce the negative impact of parental stress. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between parental stress and self-esteem in parents who have children with ASD. The method used in this research uses quantitative methods with a correlational design. The sample for this study was 114 parents with ASD. Parental stress was measured using the Parental Stress Scale (PSS) and self-esteem was measured using the self-esteem scale. Pearson product moment correlation was used to analyze the data. The results of the Pearson product moment test obtained r = -.46 and p = 0.00. The results of this study found that parents had moderate levels of parental stress (69.3%) and had moderate self-esteem (60.5%). These results prove that there is a significant relationship between parental stress and self-esteem in ASD parentsKeywords: Autism Spectrum Disorder, parental stress, self-esteem

Abstract

Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) diartikan sebagai perasaan takut, cemas, atau khawatir yang muncul pada diri individu yang disebabkan oleh ketinggalan suatu informasi baru, seperti berita, tren ataupun aktivitas orang lain. FOMO seringkali muncul dalam konteks penggunaan media sosial, khususnya terjadi pada generasi Z yang akrab dengan berbagai platform media sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap fear of missing out (FOMO) pada generasi Z pengguna media sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria subjek yaitu, generasi Z pengguna media sosial di Banjarmasin dengan rentang usia 18-26 tahun yang berjumlah 100 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan software JASP (Jeffreys’s Amazing Statistic Program). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh self-esteem terhadap FOMO dengan nilai yang diperoleh (b = 173.824, SE = 0.954, p < 0,05) dengan besaran pengaruh 5,6% dan arah hubungan negatif yang signifikan, hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat self-esteem maka semakin rendah tingkat FOMO, maupun sebaliknya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam memperkaya literatur mengenai self-esteem dan FOMO serta memberikan wawasan baru tentang dinamika psikologis yang terjadi pada generasi ini.

Abstract

Social media and the internet are the main platforms for Gen Z to communicate and share information. The use of social media has positive and negative impacts on its users. Frequent and repeated use of social media will create intensity of use. Social media can be related to rumination. Rumination is repeated contemplation of problems or negative feelings and referring to the meaning of the problem. Individuals who tend to ruminate are more likely to experience more severe depressive episodes. This study is useful for providing definitive data in seeing the effect of the intensity of social media use on rumination in Gen Z. Sampling in this study used non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 85 participants. The data analysis method used one way ANOVA. The results of this study obtained a significant effect on the level of rumination based on the intensity of social media use in Gen Z with a p value <0.001.

Abstract

Gaya hidup frugal marak diperbincangkan di berbagai platform setelah pandemi covid-19 sebagai pertimbangan dalam pengelolaan keuangan. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan penerapan gaya hidup ini adalah kepribadian yang dimiliki seseorang tersebut yaitu kepribadian materialistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh kepribadian materialistik terhadap gaya hidup frugal. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian korelasional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel convenience sampling dengan total sampel sebanyak 113 orang. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap subjek dengan kriteria berusia 20 hingga 39 tahun yang memiliki penghasilan bulanan di Banjarmasin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh kepribadian materialistik terhadap gaya hidup frugal. Gaya hidup frugal dapat menjadi pertimbangan di era sekarang mengingat keadaan ekonomi dunia yang belum sepenuhnya stabil, di samping itu saat ini kekayaan  materi kerap menjadi tolak ukur kesuksesan seseorang.

Abstract

Nowadays smartphones have become a basic necessity and a major part of the lifestyle of teenagers. The convenience and comfort provided by smartphones, will be a problem if used excessively which can have an impact on nomophobia. Nomophobia is a felling of fear that is because the smartphone is out of reach of its owner. This study aims to determine the influence of self-control on nomophobia in adolescents in Banjarmasin City. The subjects of this study were adolescents aged 17 to 21 years as many as 318 people. This research method uses quantitative. The sampling technidue in this study used purposive sampling. The data collection tools used are the self-control scale and the nomophobia scale which refers to the rating scale model. From the results of data analysis carried out with a simple linear regression test, a significance value of p= 0,034 (p<0,05) was obtained, meaning that there was a significant influence on self-control (X) on nomophobia (Y). Self-control in this study contributed 1,4% effectively to nomophobia.

Abstract

The phenomenon of using multiple accounts on Instagram is increasing, especially among students, with each type of account used for different purposes. This study aims to determine the differences in self-disclosure levels between students who use single accounts and multiple accounts on Instagram. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a comparative design. This study involved 102 active student respondents who use Instagram in Banjarmasin City, who were divided evenly into two groups, the sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique based on certain criteria. The measuring instrument used was the Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (RSDS) which has been modified according to the context of Instagram social media. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups. The implications of this study are expected to increase students awareness in managing information disclosure wisely on social media.
