Abstract

The aim of this research is developing e-jornal for journal Kalbisocio that focuses in management and communication science, and Kalbiscientia that focuses in science and technology. They are published by Kalbis Institute. The journal management is run by the publisher manualy, therefore the publication cannot be worth and realize. Enhancing to manage the journals, is should be an e-journal that assists all the editor team, reviewer, and author to do thier activities. The e-jurnal can be accesed and manage online by editor team, reviewers, and authors. Hence editor team can control all article processing and decide what to do with their problem in order that the articles can be published on time. Developing e-journal will use prototyping method that meets the need of Kalbisocio and Kalbiscientia. The research will develop an e-journal which assist all editor team, reviewers, and authors to do their activities in journal management.

Abstract

Abstract

The main goal of this study is to assess SMP XYZ Jakarta's IT governance implementation and maturity. This report provides a complete analysis, strategic recommendations, and strategies for enhancing system efficiency and functionality to improve operational outcomes. A COBIT 5 maturity value evaluation at SMP XYZ Jakarta found GAP Analysis shortcomings in many domains. In particular, EDM01 and EDM02 exhibit possible governance structure and benefit distribution concerns with discrepancies of -0.33 and -0.16, respectively. Risk optimization is substantial for EDM03, which has a positive disparity of 0.34. EDM04 emphasizes efficient resource allocation with a differential of -0.33, whereas EDM05 signals stakeholder transparency needs with 0.17. The governance structure's strengths and weaknesses are shown by the average domain disparity of -0.31. Data from questionnaires reveal proficiency in subdomains like EDM01 governance framework construction. Also noted were benefits delivery (EDM02) and risk optimization (EDM03). EDM04 and EDM05's predicted level 3 progress supports SMP XYZ Jakarta's ambitious governance framework improvement target.

Abstract

Course timetabling at universities presents a complex problem due to the limited timeframe to create schedules that avoid conflicts between activities. This issue becomes more challenging as the number of activities increases while the available rooms remain constant. Numerous studies have attempted to automate the scheduling process, but their success is often limited to specific cases, meaning their effectiveness may not be applicable in different institutions. One method that has shown potential in solving timetable problems is the genetic algorithm, either as a standalone approach or combined with other techniques. Despite criticisms regarding computational time complexity, genetic algorithms serve as practical global optimization tools, making them suitable for timetabling when computational time constraints are manageable. A hybrid Genetic Algorithm combined with Fuzzy Partitioning is essential for determining the crossover point, one of the key operators in genetic algorithms. In this study, we use a hybrid genetic algorithm with fuzzy crossover to address the course timetabling problem at Pancasila University, focusing on two departments, Informatics and Electro, which share classrooms on the same floor. In this study, we use data from 31 courses; our experiment achieved convergence at generation 78, with a fitness function score of zero, indicating the complete elimination of scheduling conflicts. For further improvement, adjustments could be made to the fitness function to penalize inefficient room usage, reducing the total number of generations to decrease execution time without compromising solution quality, and reducing the mutation rate to enhance solution stability.
