Abstract

Preeclampsia is a condition where a pregnant woman's blood pressure increases accompanied by the presence of protein in the urine. Conditions like this are triggered by the fetus' placenta not functioning or developing properly. Preeclampsia/eclampsia is the second cause after bleeding as a direct cause of maternal death. The aim of the research was to analyze the determinants of the incidence of severe preeclampsia in mothers giving birth at RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang 2023. This research is an analytical correlative research with a retrospective design. The samples taken used purposive sampling technique, namely 69 mothers who experienced preeclampsia. The results of this study showed that there were mothers giving birth with an incidence of PEB of 69%, there was a relationship between BMI and PEB (p-value 0.000 and OR 5.060 ), there is a relationship between a history of preeclampsia and PEB (p-value 0.000 and OR 9.608), there is a relationship between weight gain during pregnancy and PEB (p-value 0.036 and OR 4,083), there is a relationship between a history of DM and PEB (p-value 0.033 and OR 2,797), and there is a relationship between a history of consuming high doses of calcium and PEB (p-value 0.000 and OR 6.632). The most influential determinant of the incidence of PEB is a history of preeclampsia (p-value 0.005 and OR 7.351).The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between BMI, history of preeclampsia, body weight during pregnancy, history of DM and history of consuming high doses of calcium with the incidence of severe preeclampsia, It is hoped that Dr. Drajat Prawiranegara to be able to maintain service quality, especially in providing comprehensive midwifery care.

Abstract

Introduction : In Indonesia the incidence rate of female adolescent knowledge about reproductive health is low, some of them have pregnant before married, married in young age, consume alcohol, and drug abuse. This study aims to know the correlation between duration and score of playing KEPO Game with knowledge, attitude, and skills of female adolescent reproductive health. Objectives : The design of this research is one group pretest-postest Methods: design with simple random sampling technique in 8th grade female students of junior high school in Bandung City. Results: The result of the analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between duration and score with knowledge, attitude, and skill of female adolescent in understanding reproduction health with p value >0,05 but there was an increase of pretest and posttest result with p value >0,05. Conclusions: This explains that KEPO Game can be used as adolescent learning media in studying reproduction health with improvement in Artificial Intelegence in every content of game, time calculation improvement on "replay" menu, should use pedagogy element in every question of KEPO Game and questionnaires, and the adolescents should have instruction about KEPO Game and about reproductive health so that teenagers can answer the questions properly and correctly with time that has been set in KEPO Game.

Abstract

Learning Midwifery practice learning requires media that closely resemble real conditions so that students can optimally develop their clinical skills. The innovation of the SMARTHOM (Smart Phantom) device was developed as a labor delivery simulator based on electromechanical systems and the Internet of Things (IoT), designed to enhance the learning experience in the laboratory. The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility level of the SMARTHOM device as a learning medium for childbirth simulation among midwifery students. This research employed a descriptive approach with a trial method involving 15 midwifery students from Faletehan University. The instrument used was the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess user satisfaction and ease of use of both the application and the simulator device. The results showed an average score of 84.3, which falls under the “highly feasible” category. The highest-rated aspects included ease of use and the functional suitability of the device with the stages of the childbirth process. Overall, the findings indicate that SMARTHOM is effective as a midwifery laboratory learning medium and has great potential for further development into interactive digital learning.
