Abstract

This study aims to identify the model of strengthening the national identity through the cadre pattern in the Islamic Student Association organization (HMI). This study applied a qualitative approach with a case study method. Student organizations have a crucial role in providing insight, sense, and spirit of Indonesian nationalism that is wrapped in the frame of Unity in Diversity. One of the challenges faced by a student organization in Indonesia is the ability of this organization to protect its noble goals from certain interests, which can direct the activities to the issues that violate the motto. In this context, cadre in student organizations must strive to foster and strengthen the spirit of nationalism. The presence of a student religious organization provides its uniqueness that is noteworthy to study. Therefore, this study will identify how the concept of student religious organization regeneration, especially the Islamic Student Association. In this article, the researcher views that the cadre of a religious student organization such as the Islamic Student Association has a very unique and strong style of regeneration. It can be observed from the numerous cadres of Islamic Student Association who work in government, non-governmental organizations, and other sectors who are highly open with differences and voice about the importance of togetherness in unity, which is based on the ideology of struggle, i.e., pluralism, democracy, state administration, and law enforcement. The three struggle programs are determinative factors for caring for the National Identity (Unity in Diversity).

Abstract

The development of technology and information in Indonesia, particularly social media, has significantly influenced various aspects of life, including socio-political aspects. Social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and TikTok have become ingrained in society, especially among the younger generation or Generation Z. This generation often uses social media as their primary source of information, including political information. This study aims to investigate the influence of social media on the political literacy of young voters, particularly students from the FKIP Unpas. One of the impacts examined is how exposure to social media potentially mobilizes political participation and shapes political preferences among the public. The study results indicate that social media not only serves as a communication tool but also influences the knowledge, mindset, and political behavior of the younger generation. However, young voters tend to rely on social media without adequate guidance, making them more vulnerable to misinformation or manipulation. Therefore, there is a need for education on the proper use of social media in a political context to enhance political literacy among young voters. This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the role of social media in shaping political literacy and facilitating political participation among Generation Z. Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi di Indonesia, khususnya media sosial, telah memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan pada berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk kehidupan sosial-politik. Media sosial seperti Instagram, WhatsApp, dan TikTok telah menjadi platform yang melekat di masyarakat, terutama generasi muda atau Generasi Z. Generasi ini banyak informasi menggunakan media sosial sebagai sumber utama, termasuk informasi politik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh media sosial terhadap literasi politik pemilih pemula, khususnya mahasiswa FKIP Unpas. Salah satu dampak yang diteliti adalah bagaimana paparan media sosial berpotensi memobilisasi partisipasi politik dan membentuk preferensi politik dikalangan masyarakat. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi, tetapi juga mempengaruhi pengetahuan, pola pikir, dan perilaku politik generasi muda. Namun, pemilih pemula cenderung bergantung pada media sosial tanpa pengarahan yang memadai, sehingga mereka lebih rentan terhadap informasi yang salah atau manipulatif. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya edukasi mengenai penggunaan media sosial yang lebih baik dalam konteks politik, sehingga literasi politik di kalangan pemilih pemula dapat ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman lebih mendalam mengenai peran media sosial dalam membentuk literasi politik dan memfasilitasi partisipasi politik generasi z.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the 21st century has had a transformative impact on the world of education, particularly in higher education. AI offers great potential for improving the effectiveness and personalisation of learning, but at the same time raises ethical and moral challenges in shaping student character. This study aims to analyse how the integration of AI in the learning process contributes to strengthening the resilient character of students—covering moral, ethical, and professional dimensions—in the midst of the digital transformation era. The method used is a qualitative literature review with a systematic approach, analysing 30 scientific articles from reputable national (SINTA 1–2) and international (Scopus/DOAJ) journals published between 2015 and 2025. The analysis was conducted thematically to identify the benefits, challenges, and pedagogical strategies in the application of AI in higher education. The results of the study revealed four main themes: (1) AI increases student learning autonomy, personalisation, and intrinsic motivation; (2) ethical risks arise in the form of plagiarism, algorithmic bias, and a decline in moral reflection; (3) significant challenges lie in infrastructure gaps, technological literacy, and lecturers' pedagogical readiness; and (4) effective strategies require a humanistic approach and ethical education policies that position teachers as facilitators of values. In conclusion, AI has the potential to strengthen students' moral, ethical, and professional resilience when integrated reflectively and based on human values. These findings have significant implications for the development of higher education policies that strike a balance between technological innovation and character education in the digital age.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has changed the direction of modern education towards more adaptive, reflective, and learner-centred learning. This study aims to analyse the role of AI in identifying and developing student potential, as well as its contribution to the formation of excellent character in the digital age. This research is a narrative literature review that examines various relevant scientific publications published between 2018 and 2025, sourced from international databases such as Scopus, ERIC, and ScienceDirect, as well as SINTA-indexed national journals. The literature selection process was carried out using thematic criteria that emphasised the suitability of the context of primary, secondary, and higher education in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic-inductive approach to identify patterns of relationships between AI implementation, learning potential development, and moral character formation. The results showed that AI plays a role in facilitating personalised learning, increasing student engagement and motivation, and fostering empathy and responsibility through adaptive feedback and reflective interaction. On the other hand, challenges arise in terms of ethics, data privacy, and the digital divide. This study emphasises that AI implementation must be oriented towards human values so that technology functions as a pedagogical partner in shaping an intelligent and characterful generation.
