Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical creative thinking skills based on mathematical dispositions in creative problem solving learning with an open-ended approach. This research is a mixed method research with a sequential explanatory model. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP N 3 Pabelan Semarang Regency in the academic year 2020/2021 with a sample of class VIII A and class VIII C as the experimental class and the control class. The research subjects were two students each with high mathematical disposition, medium mathematical disposition and low mathematical disposition. The results showed that students' creative thinking skills in each category of disposition had similarities and differences. All disposition categories have fulfilled the fluency aspect. On the flexibility aspect, only students with high disposition category are fulfilled. Subjects with a low disposition category can only fulfill one and two aspects of creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Abstract. The importance of mathematics in industry continuesly grows and developes. That is why it is important to understand how the transfer of knowledge that comes from various digital learning. Canvas, one of the blended learning media, has been already popular in America but not in Indonesia. In this study we feel interested to use Canvas as a blended learning media since it provides an online learning environment that supports students in Mathematics classes. This research aims to illustrate the perspective of students’ conviction and challenge in using canvas as a blended learning media. This research uses survey method. There are 36 high school students participants of this study. A survey questionnaire is used in this study to obtain the information about students’ perspective after using canvas in Mathematics learning. The results of this study indicates that students have a positive response and challenging to take part in learning with canvas, create a new atmosphere in the Mathematics class and provide students some opportunities to express their opinions.
