Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities of grade VII based on mathematical resilience in TAI learning with the RME approach assisted by a graphic organizer. The research method used in this study is a mix method with sequential explanatory models. The population in this study were students of class VII MTs Ma'arif 1 Blora academic year 2020/2021 with a sample of class VII C and class VII B as the experimental class and the control class. The research subjects were two students each with high mathematical resilience, moderate mathematical resilience, and low mathematical resilience. The data collection techniques used in this study were tests, documentation, questionnaires, observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The quantitative data were tested by means of the average test, the proportion test, the average difference test and the different proportions test, while the qualitative data were tested with data validity, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion mean The results showed that students in the high mathematical resilience category were able to master all indicators of mathematical reasoning. Students in the mathematical resilience category are less able to make and test mathematical guesses. Students in the mathematical resilience category are unable to make and test mathematical guesses, perform mathematical manipulations and draw conclusions from a statement or fact logically.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance and still not optimal mathematical reasoning ability (KPM). This research aims to test the mathematical reasoning abilities of class VI students on blocks and cubes using the Think Pair Share model of learning with the help of problem cards, achieving learning mastery and describing the mathematical reasoning abilities of class VI students on blocks and cubes using the Think Pair Share model of learning with the help of Problem Cards. The method used is a mixed methods concurrent triangulation design. Data collection techniques use observation, tests and interviews. The population is class VI students at MI Khozinatul Ulum Blora with a sample of class VIA students as the research class. The research subjects were two students each with high group reasoning ability (KPA), medium group reasoning ability (KPS), and low group reasoning ability (KPK). The results of the research show that learning using the Think Pair Share model assisted by problem cards achieves learning completeness. KPA students master all KPM indicators, KPS students master three KPM indicators and KPK students lack mastery of all KPM indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at MI Safinatun Najah regarding solid geometry, identify conceptual errors that arise, and analyze factors influencing their understanding. The method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The subject involved 12 students selected based on high, medium, and low understanding categories, along with the fifth-grade mathematics teacher. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document studies. Analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing accompanied by verification. The results showed significant variation in students’ conceptual understanding. Some students could explain the elements of solid geometry and relate them to contextual problems, while others were still trapped in rote memorization of formulas. The findings also revealed that procedural skills were more dominant than conceptual understanding, and concrete as well as visual media played an important role in strengthening comprehension. This study indicates that students’ understanding is not uniform but influenced by both internal and external factors. Therefore, learning strategies based on manipulative and contextual media are necessary to improve the quality of their understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine teachers' experiences in implementing Project Based Learning (PjBL) in science learning in elementary schools, regarding how teachers become facilitators in the classroom, face challenges, and teach professionally. PjBL is a learning method that emphasizes student activeness through real projects planned by teachers to train creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Although PjBL is known to be effective in increasing student motivation and skills, teachers' experiences in implementing it still require in-depth understanding to support optimal learning practices. The method used in this study is descriptive phenomenology, with in-depth interviews as data collection techniques. The research subjects consisted of three elementary school teachers who implemented PjBL in science subjects. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used meaning reduction techniques, theme identification, and synthesis of the essence of experience, thus describing the teachers' experiences in depth. The results of this study indicate that each teacher has different experiences in implementing PjBL. The challenges faced by teachers include time management, individual guidance, and limited facilities/infrastructure. The essence of the teachers' experiences shows that PjBL is a learning strategy that requires adaptation, creativity, and careful planning, while also providing a positive impact on student development holistically. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengalaman guru dalam menerapkan Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar, tentang bagaimana guru menjadi fasilitator dikelas, menghadapi tantangan, dan mengajar secara profesional. PjBL merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang menekankan keaktifan siswa melalui proyek-proyek nyata yang direncanakan guru untuk melatih kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan berpikir kritis. Meskipun PjBL dikenal efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan siswa, pengalaman guru dalam menerapkannya masih memerlukan pemahaman mendalam untuk mendukung praktik pembelajaran yang optimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fenomenologi deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari tiga guru SD yang menerapkan PjBL pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi makna, identifikasi tema, dan sintesis esensi pengalaman, sehingga menggambarkan pengalaman guru secara mendalam.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru mempunyai pengalaman masing-masing yang berbeda selama menerapkan PjBL. Adapun tantangan yang dihadapi guru meliputi manajemen waktu, bimbingan individual, dan keterbatasan sarana/prasarana. Esensi pengalaman guru menunjukkan bahwa PjBL merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang menuntut adaptasi, kreativitas, dan perencanaan matang, sekaligus memberikan dampak positif bagi perkembangan siswa secara holistik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi pecahan di sekolah dasar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di MI Ma’arif Al Ma’shum Blora. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 38 siswa kelas VI dan 2 guru matematika yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara yang divalidasi oleh ahli, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif model Miles & Huberman serta statistik deskriptif sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa masih mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep pecahan, khususnya pada operasi pecahan campuran, tetapi memiliki minat tinggi terhadap soal kontekstual, bergambar, dan diskusi kelompok. Guru menilai LKPD berbasis PBL sangat diperlukan karena dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, motivasi, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, meskipun mereka membutuhkan panduan dan pelatihan agar implementasi lebih optimal. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran konvensional belum memadai dalam melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah sehingga diperlukan pengembangan LKPD berbasis PBL yang inovatif, kontekstual, dan menarik sesuai karakteristik siswa. Penelitian ini menjadi dasar penting bagi pengembangan perangkat ajar yang lebih efektif sekaligus membuka peluang penelitian lanjutan mengenai uji coba efektivitas maupun pengembangan e-LKPD berbasis PBL.   ABSTRAK This study aims to analyze the need for developing a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-oriented Student Worksheet (LKPD) on fraction topics in elementary schools to enhance students’ problem-solving skills. This research employed a qualitative case study approach conducted at MI Ma’arif Al Ma’shum Blora. The subjects consisted of 38 sixth-grade students and two mathematics teachers selected purposively. Data were collected through validated questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s qualitative data analysis model combined with simple descriptive statistics. The findings reveal that most students still face difficulties in understanding fraction concepts, particularly mixed-number operations, yet show high interest in contextual, illustrated tasks and group discussions. Teachers perceive that PBL-based LKPDs are highly needed to improve students’ conceptual understanding, motivation, and critical thinking skills, although guidance and training are required for optimal implementation. These results affirm that conventional instructional materials are insufficient to train students’ problem-solving abilities; therefore, the development of innovative, contextual, and engaging PBL-based LKPDs tailored to students’ characteristics is necessary. This study provides a critical foundation for designing more effective learning resources and opens opportunities for further research on testing their effectiveness and developing digital versions such as PBL-based e-LKPDs.

Abstract

Literacy is an essential foundation in primary education, particularly for first-grade students who are still in the early stages of developing reading, writing, and text comprehension skills. However, literacy achievement in Indonesia continues to face various challenges, including low reading interest, limited availability of age-appropriate reading materials, and insufficient nutrition, which affects children’s concentration and memory. This study focuses on strategies to improve students’ literacy through an integrative holistic literacy approach at SD QTA An Nawa, which combines reading activities with nutritional interventions in the “Saturday Literacy and Nutrition” program. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects of the study included the principal, first-grade homeroom teacher, and first-grade students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study. The findings reveal that bringing favorite storybooks from home and healthy meals not only improved reading skills but also fostered learning motivation and nutrition awareness among students. The success of the program was supported by teachers’ involvement, parents’ participation, and students’ enthusiasm, although some challenges remained, such as limited parental understanding of nutrition and inconsistent discipline in following the program. In conclusion, the holistic integrative literacy strategy proved effective in enhancing literacy skills while fostering healthy habits, making it a potentially innovative model for adoption in other primary schools. ABSTRAK Literasi merupakan pondasi esensial dalam pendidikan dasar, terutama bagi siswa kelas 1 yang masih berada pada tahap awal mengembangkan kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan memahami teks. Meski demikian, capaian literasi di Indonesia masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan, mulai dari rendahnya minat baca, terbatasnya ketersediaan bacaan yang sesuai usia, hingga kurangnya asupan gizi yang berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi dan daya ingat anak. Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi peningkatan literasi siswa melalui pendekatan literasi holistik integratif di SD QTA An Nawa, yang menggabungkan kegiatan membaca dengan intervensi gizi dalam program “Sabtu Literasi dan Gizi.” Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru wali kelas 1, dan siswa kelas 1. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, serta studi dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan membawa buku cerita pilihan dari rumah dan bekal sehat tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan membaca, tetapi juga menumbuhkan motivasi belajar serta kesadaran gizi pada siswa. Keberhasilan program didukung oleh keterlibatan guru, partisipasi orang tua, dan antusiasme siswa, meskipun masih terdapat hambatan berupa keterbatasan pemahaman gizi di kalangan orang tua dan kurangnya kedisiplinan sebagian peserta. Kesimpulannya, strategi literasi holistik integratif terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sekaligus membentuk kebiasaan hidup sehat, sehingga berpotensi menjadi model inovatif yang dapat diadaptasi oleh sekolah dasar lainnya.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze student errors in solving descriptive statistics questions. The results of this analysis serve as information for researchers in improving learning and finding solutions for students to overcome their problems. This research was conducted at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) of the Khozinatul Ulum Blora Islamic Institute. The subjects in this research were 10 students who were given a test in the form of a description. The results of this research were: 1) two students made mistakes presenting data in diagram form; 2) as many as four students made inconsistencies in using mathematical symbols. And 3) as many as four students made errors in calculating and errors in using formulas. Meanwhile, most students are able to understand the concepts of descriptive statistics courses, but are still less careful in carrying out calculations and using symbols

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the implementation of experiential-based Islamic character education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), despite its strategic role in shaping students’ moral and spiritual values, particularly in the digital era. The primary aim of this study is to describe the implementation of the Collaborative Ramadan Pesantren program as a strategy to strengthen Islamic character, analyze the internalization process of the values of honesty, responsibility, and social awareness, and identify behavioral changes among students after participating in the program. A descriptive qualitative method was employed using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving 60 fourth- to sixth-grade students of MI Ma’arif Al Ma’shum Blora and 8 PGMI students from IAIKU Blora, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through participatory observation, informal interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that character reinforcement was carried out in three stages: collaborative planning, a three-day thematic activity based on direct experience, and evaluation and reflection aimed at fostering positive behavioral change. These results affirm the effectiveness of experiential and contextual character education. In conclusion, the collaborative and applicative approach proved effective in instilling Islamic values in elementary school students. The implications of this study include theoretical contributions to the development of Islamic character education and practical recommendations for madrasahs and higher education institutions in designing more structured and sustainable programs.

Abstract

Pengembangkan lembar eksperimen mini Code & Science Fun merupakan media pembelajaran sains yang menyenangkan dan interaktif bagi anak kelompok B (usia 5–6 tahun). Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada rendahnya literasi sains anak usia dini karena guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah dan lembar kerja pasif tanpa memberikan pengalaman eksploratif yang bermakna. Produk berupa lembar eksperimen mini ini dirancang dengan memadukan unsur sains sederhana dan pengenalan dasar konsep pemrograman (coding unplugged) melalui kegiatan bermain dan percobaan yang mudah dilakukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek uji coba adalah anak kelompok B di salah satu TK di wilayah Kabupaten Blora utara. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi secara langsung di TK Sendangharjo Kecamtan Blora Kabupaten Blora. Kelayakan lembar eksperimen mini Code & Science Fun berdasarkan validasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lembar eksperimen mini Code & Science Fun memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dari rata-rata ahli materi sebesar 89% dan rata-rata ahli media sebesar 87,5%, serta dinilai praktis digunakan oleh guru.. Dengan demikian, lembar eksperimen mini ini layak digunakan sebagai inovasi pembelajaran yang mendukung literasi sains anak sejak usia dini.
