Abstract

Fracture of the superior and inferior pubic ramus is a condition in which the patient's pubic bone is fractured, specifically in the superior and inferior ramus. In the world of radiology, pubic fractures are classified as pelvic fractures because the anatomy of the pelvis includes the sacrum, coccyx and hip bones. The causes of this fracture are injury, brittle bones, and high-intensity sports. Symptoms experienced by patients are pain, swelling of the pelvic area and difficulty moving. In making a diagnosis, intervention from a radiologist is needed to confirm the patient's diagnosis. The aim of this study was to display radiological imaging of a fractured pelvis and to determine the interventions carried out by radiologists. This research was a descriptive study, where patients who meet the inclusion criteria are used as the research sample. Patients were selected using an incidental sampling technique, so that 1 patient was obtained for the relevant radiological examination and then descriptive analysis was carried out. The results of the study showed that a fracture line appeared in the right superior and inferior pubic ramus area which caused an asymmetrical symphysis and a linear fracture of the left iliac os. The examination given was an AP projection pelvic photo with CP right in the middle of the patient's body. It was concluded that this occurred due to an injury and also a fracture of the left iliac, making it difficult for the patient to stand and difficult to move the pelvis.Keywords: fracture; pelvis; sacrum; radiological examination                                                                                     ABSTRAK Fraktur ramus superior dan inferior pubis adalah suatu kondisi di mana tulang kemaluan pasien mengalami fraktur, tepatnya di ramus superior dan inferior. Dalam dunia radiologi, fraktur pubis tergolong sebagai fraktur pelvis karena anatomi dari pelvis meliputi sakrum, tulang ekor dan tulang pinggul. Penyebab dari fraktur ini adalah cedera, tulang yang sudah rapuh, dan olahraga berintesitas tinggi. Gejala yang dialami oleh pasien adalah nyeri, pembengkakan area panggul dan kesulitan bergerak. Dalam penegakan diagnosis diperlukan intervensi dari radiolog untuk menegakkan diagnosa pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menampilkan pencitraan radiologis dari pelvis yang mengalami fraktur dan untuk mengetahui intervensi yang dilakukan oleh radiolog. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif, di mana pasien yang sudah memenuhi kriteria inklusi digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian. Pasien dipilih dengan teknik incidental sampling, sehingga didapatkan 1 pasien untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan radiologis terkait dan selanjutnya dilakukan analisis secara deskriptif.  Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa tampak garis fraktur pada daerah ramus superior dan inferior pubis kanan yang menyebabkan asimetris simphysis dan adanya fraktur linear os iliaka kiri. Pemeriksaan yang diberikan adalah foto pelvis proyeksi AP dengan CP tepat di mid tubuh pasien. Disimpulkan bahwa ini terjadi karena adanya cedera dan juga terjadi fraktur iliaka kiri, sehingga pasien sulit berdiri dan sulit menggerakkan bagian panggul.Kata kunci: fraktur; pelvis; sakrum; pemeriksaan radiologi

Abstract

This study explores key aspects of cosmology, starting with the foundational FLRW equations that describe the universe's evolution, emphasizing its homogeneity and isotropy. We incorporate mass viscosity into these equations, shedding light on its role in shaping the universe. Observations of Type Ia supernovae inform our understanding of cosmological parameters, including the Hubble rate and dark energy's effects on cosmic expansion. Cosmic Microwave Background fluctuations are analyzed for insights into cosmic structure. Baryon Acoustic Oscillations provide additional data for estimating critical parameters. We also examine the Hubble Parameter to understand its relation to cosmological parameters. Lastly, we introduce statefinder analysis, unveiling the universe's behavior through key indicators like "r" and "s." This study offers comprehensive insights into cosmology and the universe's evolution.

Abstract

In the modern era, the use of technology and fire protection equipment has become part of the needs of the oil refinery industry. This material functions to retain heat from fire with a temperature of 1000 oC. But apart from the convenience provided, it turns out that this material also has negative effects on the body that is exposed to dust. In this research, a composite-based heat-resistant material will be made from natural red sand with a ratio of 50:50 (wt%) between matrix and filler. Composite preparation has been carried out using the wet milling method with toluene media. Barium M-Ferrite as matrix and Fly Ashes, Porland Cement, Vermiculite, Cristalline as fillers which are used as the main raw materials for making composites. From the results of the X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) test on BaFe12O19 powder as a matrix, it shows that the phase formed by a single face and hexagonal crystal structure has lattice parameters a=5.929 Ǻ and c= 23.41 Ǻ space group (P 63/mmc); hexagonal structured composite samples (JCPDS file No. 39-1433). The results of surface analysis using Scanning Electron Magnetic (SEM) show that the composite has the finest and smallest particle sizes. The true density result of the composite is 5.386364 g/cm3.

Abstract

Penelitian analisis pengaruh pasir putih sebagai bahan campuran beton telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui strukturnya dengan berbagai pengujian. Beton dibuat berbentuk Balok 10 x 10 x 15 cm dengan standart SNI K123. Pada penelitian ini dibuat agregat halus (pasir putih) sebesar 25%, 50%, dan 75%, dari berat agregat halus yang digunakan. Setelah melalui masa 20 hari kemudian beton diuji dengan metode Uji Impak dengan prosedur yang ada. Dari hasil pengujian, diperoleh Pengujian Difraksi Sinar X Pada Pasir Putih setelah di ayak, dicuci dan dikering. Dari hasil pengujian, diperoleh Hasil pengujian Difraksi Sinar X terdapat unsur-unsur seperti SiO2 (silikon Oxide), TaO2 (Tantalum Oxide), FeNi (Iron Nikel), FeC (Iron Carbide), TaO (Tantalum Oxide), Fe2C (Iron Carbide) memperlihatkan bahwa grafik menunjukkan nilai intensitasnya silikon pasir putih tinggi. Dari hasil pengujian impak diperoleh kuat patah maksimum beton pasir putih pada komposisi 50% dengan kekuatan 19,6 Mpa. Hasil ini melampaui kekuatan yang ditetapkan oleh Badan Standart Nasional Indonesia. Dengan ukuran pasir yang lebih halus dan kandungan silicon akan lebih banyak.

Abstract

Ejection Fraction (EF) is a parameter for assessing the heart's ability to pump blood throughout the body. Currently, ultrasound is frequently used to detect EF values, but it has limitations such as poor acoustic window and operator dependency. Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) examination has advantages in providing accurate EF values with two measurement methods: Short Axis and Long Axis view. This study aims to determine the accuracy of left ventricular ejection fraction values in CMR examination using short axis and long axis view methods compared to echocardiography. Method: descriptive quantitative research design on EF calculation conducted at radiology installation in Jakarta hospital from July-October 2022 with 33 patient samples. Data were obtained through observation and measurement using CVI 42 software on 1.5T GE Signa Voyager MRI device. Results: The average EF percentage on LVEF-EC measurement method was 41%, LVEF-SA 40%, and LVEF-LA 43%. The accuracy showed EC-SA average difference of 0.939 with 3% percentage and EC-LA average difference of 1.812 with 5% percentage. Conclusion: Short axis method is more accurate compared to long axis, thus can be used as standard procedure for CMR examination to provide quality diagnostic services.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, primarily affecting the lungs. Chest radiography remains the primary imaging modality for diagnosing pulmonary tuberculosis. This study aims to determine the radiological examination technique for pulmonary tuberculosis cases and evaluate whether the PA or AP projection alone is sufficiently effective for establishing TB diagnosis at Dr. Djasamen Saragih Regional General Hospital, Pematangsiantar. This is a qualitative descriptive study using secondary data collection methods through observation, physical examination, and documentation. The subject was a 48-year-old male patient with a diagnosis of recurrent pulmonary tuberculosis showing patchy opacities. Radiographic examination was performed using PA projection with the patient in an erect position, exposure factors of 125 kVp and 250 mAs, using a 35x35 cm cassette at 150-180 cm FFD. The results showed that PA projection effectively visualized tuberculous lesions in the upper lung fields, including the apices. Although AP Lordotic projection could provide better visualization of apical lesions free from clavicular superimposition, the PA projection alone was deemed sufficient for establishing TB diagnosis at this facility. Radiation protection was implemented through collimation and proper field size management, though patient shielding with lead apron was not utilized to avoid interfering with the diagnostic area. It is concluded that PA projection chest radiography can adequately diagnose pulmonary tuberculosis cases, although the addition of AP Lordotic projection would be beneficial for evaluating small apical lesions that may be obscured by clavicular superimposition.
