Abstract

Abstract: Multicultural counseling, also called cross-cultural counseling, is a form of counseling that aims to understand clients with diverse backgrounds and characteristics. This study aims to see and analyze the development of scientific papers published in Scopus on multicultural counseling. The research method uses a literature review, especially using bibliometrics. Data retrieval was obtained from the Scopus web using the keyword "Multicultural Counseling' obtained as many as 1,401 articles. Data analysis using bibliometrics by utilizing Vosviewer software. The results of the study showed that in 2020 there were 50 articles and in 2024 there were 54 documents. The highest citation related to documents was the research results of Yi, J. et al with 56 times. The name of the author who published the most articles was Ridley, C.R as many as 6 documents. 92% of documents have been published by the United States. Analysis of multicultural and counseling titles is widely used by authors. Co-authorship analysis has 10 co-authors. Analysis of author keywords is often used, namely 'multicultural, counseling and multicultural education. The development of scientific works on multicultural counseling is increasing and is widely published in international journals. The results of this study are expected to be utilized by guidance and counseling teachers and further researchers, especially in related fields of science.Abstrak: Konseling multikultural, yang juga disebut konseling lintas budaya (cross-cultural counseling), adalah salah satu bentuk konseling yang bertujuan untuk memahami klien dengan latar belakang dan karakteristik yang beragam Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menganalisis perkembangan karya tulis ilmiah yang diterbitkan di scopus mengenai konseling multikultural. Metode penelitian menggunakan tinjauan literatur, khususnya menggunakan bibliometrik. Pengambilan data diperoleh dari web scopus menggunakan kata kunci " Konseling Multikultural’ diperoleh sebanyak 1,401 artikel. Analisis data menggunakan bibliometrik dengan memanfaatkan perangkat lunak Vosviewer. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa tahun 2020 diperoleh 50 artikel dan 2024 memiliki jumlah artikel sebanyak 54 dokumen. Sitasi yang paling tinggi terkait dokumen yaitu hasil penelitian Yi, J. et al dengan 56 kali. Nama penulis yang banyak menerbitkan artikel yaitu Ridley,  C.R sebanyak 6 dokumen. Dokumen 92% telah dipublikasikan oleh Negara Amerika Serikat. Analsis judul multikultural dan conseling banyak digunakan oleh penulis. Analsis kepenulisan bersama terdapat 10 penulis yang saling. Analsis kata kunci penulis sering digunakan  yaitu ‘multikultural, counseling dan education multikultural. Perkembangan karya ilmiah mengenai konseling multikultural semakin meningkat dan banyak dipublikasikan di jurnal internasional. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling dan peneliti selanjutnya, khususnya pada bidang ilmu yang terkait.

Abstract

To achieve success in the implementation of guidance and counseling, more focused management services are needed so that goals can be achieved optimally. This study aims. This study aims to analyze more deeply related to guidance and counseling management in improving the mastery of counseling service skills of BK teachers. This study uses a literature study method with a descriptive normative approach, relying on primary data, namely POP BK, as well as secondary data from books and articles. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis methods to obtain valid conclusions. One of the management process models that can help explain various problems is through reflective analysis of the contents of counseling sessions. The main focus of guidance and counseling lies on the client, by analyzing what is conveyed, how aspects of the client's life are interconnected, and what the client wants. Information expressed by the client can also be a guide for BK teachers in understanding cases that may not have been explicitly realized. It is hoped that this study can be used as a consideration for related science.
