Abstract

This study aims to analyze the steps single parents take in fostering the self-awareness of 5-year-old children and describe their attitudes. This qualitative research used a case study approach that involved two single parents and two children aged five years as research subjects. Based on interviews and observations, single parents foster children's self-awareness through several steps: recognizing one's own emotions and the emotions of others, managing one's emotions, motivating oneself, being a role model, and building social relationships. As a result, children's self-awareness manifests in self-confidence, independence in choosing activities, emotional control, understanding of rules, discipline, persistence, and pride in their work. The development of self-awareness in 5-year-old children is closely related to the steps implemented by single parents, with being a role model being the most effective method in fostering children's self-awareness.

Abstract

Childhood tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global public health concern, particularly in developing countries, due to children’s immature immune systems and frequent exposure to infectious adults within households. This scoping review aimed to identify and synthesize global evidence on risk factors associated with TB among children aged 0–19 years, following the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology and PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Unlike previous systematic reviews that focused on specific regions or populations, this study comprehensively mapped risk factors using evidence from PubMed, Scopus, and Garuda databases up to March 2025. Eleven primary studies meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed thematically. The most frequently reported risk factors included close contact with adult TB patients, lack of Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) vaccination, malnutrition, overcrowded housing, and poor ventilation. Additional factors such as HIV infection, exposure to cigarette smoke, low parental education, and poor household income further increased susceptibility. The findings indicate that childhood TB arises from a complex interplay of biological, social, and environmental determinants. Therefore, effective prevention strategies should integrate immunization, active contact tracing, family health education, and improvement of living conditions. This review provides valuable insights for strengthening community-based TB control programs, highlights the need to prioritize children as a vulnerable population, and identifies research gaps to guide future policy and interventions toward TB elimination.

Abstract

This study discusses the use of the ARIMA (Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average) model to predict the number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia based on previous data. The results of the analysis show that the ARIMA (1,0,0) model is the most accurate in predicting the spread of COVID-19. Based on this model, the prediction results obtained that confirmed COVID-19 data from January to December 2022 are predicted to decrease. The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 until December 2022 is predicted to reach 20,0365 cases of spread. So this Covid-19 case still needs special and more serious attention from the government and the public must still be vigilant because based on the results of the study there have been no signs of a significant decrease in the spread of Covid-19 cases. This study provides important insights for the government, medical personnel, and the public in planning strategies for preventing and handling the pandemic
