Abstract

A disaster is an event that threatens and disrupts people's lives and livelihoods which are caused, both by natural and / or non-natural factors as well as human factors, resulting in human casualties, environmental damage, property loss and psychological impacts. According to Law Number 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management, disasters are classified into three parts; natural disasters, non-natural disasters and social disasters. The impact of disasters, especially natural disasters, varies from the moment of occurrence to post-disaster. Referring to the series of earthquake events in Lombok on 29 July 2018 (M6.4), 5 August 2018 (M7.0) and 19 August 2018 (M6.9), until 1 September 2018 has claimed 564 victims and suffered losses with the total rough count reached IDR 12.15 trillion. The impact of the earthquake is a lesson for the government and related agencies, in this case the Mataram City BPBD to better prepare disaster management strategies in a mature and planned manner. This study aims to determine the disaster communication strategy of the Mataram City BPBD in building a disaster-aware Mataram community using qualitative methods. The results of the research also show, among others: (1) Determination of communicators / community leaders as a credible source; (2) Selection of messages that are easy to understand; (3) Selection of disaster reporting media; (4) Mapping communication barriers in building disaster-aware communities

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to construct a measuring instrument for religious moderation as a tool that can be used to detect the level of religious moderation in students so that interventions to increase the level of religious moderation in UIN Mataram students can be more targeted. The preparation of this scale uses quantitative methods with a psychometric approach. This research produces a measuring tool for religious moderation for UIN Mataram students in the format of a measuring scale called the Moderama Scale. The Moderama Scale is made with a Likert scale model consisting of five response options with a favourable aitem format. The number of items in this scale is 25 items from four aspects of religious moderation. This Moderama Scale can be used to measure the level of religious moderation of students because it has met the valid and reliable requirements.

Abstract

Radio Suara Kota is a radio managed by the Mataram city government which is currently experiencing a decrease in the number of listeners, due to changes in the use of social media by the public, one of its flagship programs is the "Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) Menyapa" program, Suara Kota needs to do branding so that the radio can be recognised by the public and build an image in the eyes of the public as a radio that connects the public with the government regarding the policies of the Mataram city government. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with the research subject, namely the "Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) Menyapa" program. Data collection methods using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study are brand positioning, namely radio positioning itself to be the center of Mataram city government information to the public. Brand Identity is the radio has identity, one of which is the tagline "radio Suara Kota Suara Kita" and has unique program names such as MAHAR Mataram Harum and OPD Menyapa.

Abstract

Dian Yuli Novi is the first Indonesian women to be directly involved in an act of terrorism. However, a number of Indonesian media coverage if this case actually dwarfed Dian Yuli Novi’s role as the main perpetrator of terrorism. This paper aims to identify a number of framings found in Dian Yuli Novi’s terrorism reporting. Furthermore, this paper finds that the euphoria of number of media in exploiting this news actually makes the into symbiosis mutualism, and indirectly provides publicity for terrorist group network in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research highlights the migration of analog TV to digital TV promoted since 2007 through the Decree of the Minister of Communication and Information (Diskominfotik) Number: 07/M.KOMINFO/3/2007. The push and pull to realize this big agenda in the broadcasting world is very strong. This study uses qualitative research. Diskominfotik through the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) West Nusa Tenggara Region as the regulator is still in the wait-and-see stage. This is due to waiting and seeing any developments at the Diskominfotik and KPI at the central level. Although in subsequent developments, the Automatic Switch Off (ASO) will be implemented in August 2023 which will have an impact on local TV media in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
