Abstract

Parade of ogoh-ogoh is one of the cultural art activities of the Bali community which can be used as a tourist attraction. The parade of ogoh-ogoh is a parade which is performed on Pengerupukan Day, a day before Hari Raya Nyepi (Silent Day). One of the villages which perform such a parade every time Silent Day comes is Kuta Customary Village. This study aims at identifying the potentials, the obstructions, the social cultural effects, the perception and attitude of tourists towards the parade of ogoh-ogoh as a tourist attraction.Qualitative method was employed in this study and the data needed were collected by observation, deep interview, and documentation. The informants used in this study were purposively determined. The study is that it positively affects the interpersonal relationship among the community members, it can minimize social deviations, it contributes to the development af arts and tradition, and it can increase the number of tourist visit. The last finding is that the tourists like the parade as a tourist attraction at Kuta Village.Based on the findings above, it can be concluded that the parade of ogoh-ogoh is a potential tourist attraction and positively affects. The suggestions which are given in this study are: (1). an active coordination among the tourist components (the stakeholders) is needed in developing the parade as a tourist attraction and in overcoming the obstacles which are related to promotion, onlookers, traffic, comfortableness and security; (2). socialization of ogoh-ogoh should be made to the youth all over Bali so that the parade, as a tourist attraction, is not prohibited, still exists and is not getting extinct.

Abstract

Seminyak is one of tourist destination area in Bali . The development of tourism in the Seminyak accompanied by a fairly rapid growth of villas has reach the residential areas.The existence of this phenomenon is believed impacting the social and economic life of the community. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the types of impact, the factors that led to the emergence of impact and efforts to do related to the impact of un-concentrated development of villas in Seminyak area. The results showed that un-concentrated villa’s developments in the Seminyak gives social and economic impact of local communities. The social impact such as improving the quality of public education, increasing solidarity between citizens, and rising crime. Impact on the economy field such as increasing employment opportunities, incomes, and also increasing the food prices. Side factor causing the emergence of social impact in terms of the influence of foreign tourists visiting, the quantity and quality of adequate educational facilities, increasing people's income, the immigrant community, location villas scattered, weak oversight of the villa, boost the economy, and the increasing influence of the surrounding environment land prices. Side factor causing the emergence of the economic impact such as growing amount of tourism infrastructure, manpower requirements at all levels, spending and the number of tourist arrivals, the high price of handicraft products, targeted changes to the traders and travelers interest in local food. Efforts to do in the field of social such as, increase security and preserve the stability of the local culture, while in the economic field is classified according to the type of target market stalls.

Abstract

This article discusses community participation in the management of Kampung Todo Cultural Tourism Object of Manggarai Regency which aims to explore the potential of Kampung Todo Tourism Object and community participation in its management. The data analysis method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method that aims to describe the relationship between the phenomena studied systematically, factually, and accurately. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation, and documentation in the form of primary data and secondary data. The results of the analysis show that Todo Village has tourism potential, both cultural potential and natural potential. Community participation has become more optimal in management with the formation of a management body, namely the Tourism Awareness Group, with the aim of ensuring that all local communities feel the benefits of tourism activities. Community participation through tourism awareness groups has started from planning (decision making), organizing (forming Pokdarwis), implementation (as managers, guides, providers of needs and services for tourists) and participating in supervision.

Abstract

Hotel Vila Lumbung is a four-star hotel that has a unique building architecture like a rice barn. Lumbung restaurant is a restaurant that provides a variety of a'la carte menus such as Indonesian food, western food, and Italian food, tourists can also enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This study lasted 7 months from December 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. This study aims to determine the a la carte dinner service by waiters, the obstacles faced by waiters in serving a la carte dinner, and guest impressions of waiter service. The stages of a la carte dinner service begin with self-preparation before starting the work process, self-preparation starts from the staff arriving on time, wearing the specified uniform, taking attendance, clean the restaurant work area. Guest assessment of all elements, namely, interior (ambiance, cleanliness), service (greeting, courtesy, speed, professionalism), menu (selection/variety, presentation, taste, beverage), and others (music, lighting, entertainment), is excellent 19.11 (77%), good 4.93 (19%), sufficient 0.26 (2%). Based on the guest assessment, the a la carte dinner service at Lumbung Restaurant has been excellent where the service and problems faced in the service can be done well and satisfy guests. Meanwhile, for pricing (expensive, acceptable, good value) the price of food on the A'la carte dinner menu is considered inexpensive and appropriate by guests. This assessment is very useful for Lumbung Restaurant, because this guest comment serves as a basis for what things must be maintained, increasing guest satisfaction and correcting deficiencies.
