Abstract

A Tour consists of six important elements. Those are (1) transportation which can be land, sea, or air transportation. (2) Acommodation that can be an expensive resort or a small and simple motor inn. (3) Dining can be a qick-service food, buffet dinner, or table service dining. (4) Sightseeing; which can be a city tour, rural or village tour to historical sites, traditional architecture, or (5) Attraction is actually the most important pulling factor motivation of the tourists’ visit to a destination which can be a performance, an adventure activities, etc. (6) Shopping which can be a big super-market, traditional art market, or galleries. A tour plan is made in the form of 3 different itineraries. Those are (1) summary itinerary, (2) Detail Passenger Itinerary or DPI, and (3) Escort itinerary which is also welknown as Manual. A tour itinerary must consider all six elements in accordance with the clients’ interests, budget, number, and time alocation for a tour.

Abstract

This study aimed at figuring out the problems encountered by students in speaking class and the solutions for the problems found. Based on the library research, compiling many theories and it was found that students encounter many problems in speaking class, one of them is inhibition. Inhibition is a state where the students feel afraid of making mistake when performing a speaking task. This problem can be solved by giving the students positive feedback after performing, motivating students to speak before performing, creating a harmonious atmosphere that can reduce students’ nervousness and giving communication training to improve students’ self-confidence

Abstract

Kementerian Pariwisata Indonesia memandang perlu percepatan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa wisata yang memiliki karakteristik tersendiri dan memiliki potensi ekonomi cukup besar sehingga perlu mengandeng berbagai pihak, termasuk perguruan tinggi. Oleh karena itu, sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi pariwisata di Bali, Akademi Pariwisata Denpasar, melalui program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM), turut serta memberikan kontribusi pemercepatan ketercapaian program pemerintah tersebut melalui pendampingan Desa Wisata Besan Klungkung dengan beberapa bentuk program pelatihan, yang salah satunya adalah pelatihan untuk pramuwisata lokal yang sudah ada di desa tersebut yang berjumlah 12 orang. Pelatihan bagi pemandu wisata lokal ini adalah bersifat pengayaan khazanah di dalam hal kesantunan berbahasa, hospitalitas, dan teknik memandu wisatawan. Untuk mengetahui dampak pelatihan ini, dilakukan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil analisis sig. (2-tailed) terhadap nilai rerata kumulatif peserta menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang dilaksanakan memiliki signifikansi.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat desa melalui instrumen desa wisata memerlukan upaya yang lebih giat. Hal ini berkaitan dengan peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat desa yang nantinya diharapkan menjadi subjek sekaligus pihak yang menikmati hasil pembangunan desa wisata. Dalam rangka peningkatan kapasitas dan pembangunan sumberdaya manusia di desa wisata, Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif bekerjasama dengan perguruan tinggi menyelenggarakan pelatihan pemberdayaan berbasis pendampingan. Program ini adalah kelanjutan program yang sebelumnya diselenggarakan tahun 2019. Adapun penekanan pelatihan tahun 2020 terletak pada upaya penerapan CHSE, Pelayanan Prima, dan EPP di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru (new normal). Selain itu, materi wajib Sapta Pesona juga di sampaikan. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 25 peserta yang berasal dari Desa Besan dan perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

This article is the result of a case study research regarding the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Hotel Management Contract business (hotel operator business) at Puri Signatures located in Bali, Indonesia. Research finds that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected companies from management to operational levels. At the management level, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the ownership structure, organizational structure, and the change of brand from Puri Villas Indonesia to Puri Signatures. At the operational level, there have been major changes in terms of the cooperative relationship between management and clients, employment, marketing, partnership, and finance. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has provided an opportunity for companies to explore the performance of companies that are experiencing downsizing through new partnerships with a profit sharing system, and improve strategies towards digital marketing.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the tourism potential in Wongaya Gede Village. This research uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques supported by qualitative data in the form of natural and cultural potential in Wongaya Gede Village. Primary data in the research are the results of observations regarding the potential at the research location as well as interviews with several sources. Data collection techniques use observation techniques by observing directly at the research location about the existing potential. The data collection method uses 3 methods, namely interviews, documentation and observation. There are 5 tourism potentials in Wongaya Gede Village, the first being Subak Piak, Subak Bengkel, Batukaru Temple, Pikat Waterfall, and Pikat Adventure. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that several natural potentials were found that could be developed as tourist attractions in Wongaya Gede Village, Penebel, Tabanan. Researchers provide suggestions that developing tourism potential needs to pay attention to the potential of existing natural resources to be used as a destination and must look at the facilities provided, apart from that, human resources as managers will also need to be prepared to support the management of tourist destinations.

Abstract

This article examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Bali's hospitality industry and explores strategies for its recovery. The study analyzes the economic, social, and environmental consequences of the pandemic on Bali's tourism sector. It investigates coping strategies and resilience measures implemented by industry stakeholders to overcome the challenges. The role of sustainable tourism practices in the resilience and recovery of Bali's hospitality industry is also examined. The article offers insights into the post-pandemic transformation of the guest experience, emphasizing the adoption of technology-driven solutions, personalized services, and cultural immersion. Additionally, it highlights the importance of balancing sustainability and growth in rebuilding Bali's tourism sector. This research contributes to the understanding of the challenges faced by Bali's hospitality industry after COVID-19 and provides recommendations for its sustainable recovery.

Abstract

This article examines the factors that motivate the community to support the development of the Kaba-Kaba tourist village. This research used qualitative and quantitative data. Collecting data using questionnaires and in-depth interviews with community leaders. Respondents were determined hundred peoples with proportional random sampling technique. Data analysis used confirmatory factor analysis techniques. The results showed that all factors, both social, cultural, community participation, and environmental factors had a significant effect on community motivation to support the development of tourist village. Statistically, of the 4 factors, the community participation factor is the most dominant, followed by cultural, social, and environmental factors. This means that the community participation factor is the main factor for the community to support the development of tourist village in their village.
