Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of the “Marriage is Scary” phenomenon on the views of marriage among the younger generation. This study used an experimental approach with quantitative methods. Data collection techniques included questionnaires from individuals aged 12-30 years old as well as content analysis and comments on social media. The results showed that 83.2% of the younger generation were affected by the “Marriage is Scary” content, especially in terms of emotional and financial uncertainty. This stigma is often related to the fear of losing independence, financial worries, and domestic violence. However, this phenomenon did not result in an increase in pre-marital sexual behavior, with young people still choosing committed relationships. This research shows that access to positive information and sexual education is crucial to changing negative views of marriage. In addition, good sexual education also needs to be supported by broader approaches, such as understanding mental health, communication in relationships, and social expectation management, to help overcome the negative stigma associated with marriage among young people.

Abstract

The SEIR (Susceptible-Exposed-Infectious-Recovered) mathematical model, represented as a system of nonlinear differential equations, has proven to be a powerful tool to describe the dynamics of the spread of infectious diseases such as COVID-19. The accuracy of the projection and understanding of this model relies heavily on the proper estimation of its parameters, such as transmission rate, incubation rate, natural birth rate, natural death rate, disease mortality rate, and recovery rate. This study focuses on the development and application of a new approach to estimate crucial parameters in the SEIR model by utilizing Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). PSO is a metaheuristic optimization algorithm inspired by the social behavior of flocks of birds or schools of fish. PSO was chosen for its outstanding ability to find a global minimum in a complex search space, as well as its efficiency in handling nonlinear optimization problems. The advantage of PSO lies in its effective memory capacity, which allows the storage of previous best values, both individually and globally, thus accelerating convergence to the optimal solution. Through a simulation program, this study successfully identified the optimal set of parameters for the SEIR model. These estimated parameters were then carefully evaluated by comparing the model simulation outputs with available COVID-19 epidemiological data, demonstrating the model's ability to accurately replicate pandemic trends. The results of this study are expected to make a significant contribution to modelling and understanding the spread of COVID-19.

Abstract

Sharia insurance, especially car insurance, is wide open because the majority of Indonesian people are Muslims and the volume of motor vehicles (Mobiles) is also increasing so rapidly. Besides, the Muslim community has already realised how important it is to be an insurance member. As for the purpose of this research to find out how the management mechanism of partial loss and third party on car insurance in PT. Askrida Insurance Shariah Cab. Field, whether partial loss and third party mechanisms are in line with Islamic financial theory. This research uses inductive qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. This type of research is field research. (field research). This research data includes primary data and secondary data. Research site in PT. Askrida Insurance Shariah Cab. Field, Jl. Sei Batang Assaangan No.43, Babura, Kec, New Field, Medan City, North Sumatra 20222. In data collection using observation methods, interviews, and documentation.. Based on the analysis that the researchers have done, then the results of this study is known that the shariah insurance concerning partial loss and third party on Vehicles in PT. Askrida Insurance Shariah Cab. Fields are in line with Islamic financial theory. Because in the practice of partial loss and third party at PT. Askrida Insurance Shariah Cab. The fields have already used the tabarru's accreditation and the urah's bill, as well as the claims, allocations of funds, and benefits that are in line with the concepts of Islamic financial theory.

Abstract

This research stems from the urgent demand for modernisation of sugarcane farming in Indonesia, which faces challenges such as declining productivity due to climate change, limited cultivation technology, and weather uncertainty. The main problem is the absence of a real-time environmental monitoring system that can support farmers in making timely and accurate cultivation decisions. The objective of this study is to develop an IoT-based Sugarcane Growth Monitoring System equipped with four sensors—temperature, humidity, air pressure, and light intensity—using the Agile Kanban project management method. The methodology consists of literature study, planning, implementation, and analysis, carried out iteratively with the aid of a Kanban Board to structure and monitor progress. The results demonstrate that the system successfully integrates hardware, software, and user interfaces to deliver real-time environmental data. At the same time, Agile Kanban proves effective in managing the complexity of the development process. This research contributes not only academically, by showing the applicability of Agile Kanban in agricultural IoT projects, but also practically, by providing sugarcane farmers with decision-making support tools that can enhance efficiency, reduce resource waste, and improve cultivation productivity.
