Abstract

Throughout 2020 the world has been shocked by the emergence of a new virus that is infecting the world today, namely Coronaviruses (CoV). The virus has the scientific name SARS Cov 2. The COVID-19 pandemic has also had a considerable impact on investment, which makes people choose to be very careful in buying goods and even investing. The government also urges the public to implement social distancing, such as working from home, and worshiping from home. This study uses policy analysis theory to reveal government policies in dealing with the community's economy. The writing of this article is a library research with a qualitative method which is to explain something based on the data and numbers narrated in the sentence. The results of this study reveal various policies implemented by the government as an effort to suppress the spread of COVID-19, including preventive, promotive and social safety net policies. In addition, the government is also trying to ease the community's economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the establishment of the Family Hope Program, Non-Cash Food Assistance, Pre-Employment Cards, Electricity Subsidy Assistance. The government also budgets allocation funds and provides credit relief for informal sector workers and UMKM actors.

Abstract

Canu Kopi merupakan minuman berbahan baku kopi arabika gayo asli dari Aceh yang dimodifikasi dengan berbagai rasa yang dimodifikasi seperti halnya kopi kekinian. Kopi Gayo memiliki rasa yang tidak pahit dan memiliki keasaman yang rendah dan memiliki sentuhan rasa manis, sehingga sering digandrungi orang dewasa. Penjualan kopi daerah ini dikelola oleh Bapak Riskan menjadi sorotan kami sebagai tim program pemberdayaan masyarakat. Kami melihat pentingnya mengangkat produk minuman yang berciri khas daerah nusantara dengan ditambahkan inovasi yang membuat semua kalangan tertarik, sehingga produk UMKM menjadi unggul di wilayah Indonesia. Pengabdian yang kami lakukan yakni pengembangan usaha yaitu memberikan bantuan pengembangan usaha. Metode yang kami laksanakan yaitu Pertama, Membelikan unit alat pendukung produksi, dalam hal ini mesin pembuat kopi dan mesin grinder. Kedua, Mengadakan pelatihan dan praktik langsung promosi. Ketiga, Pengontrolan secara berkala terkait penjualan. Harapan kami, usaha Canu Kopi dapat berkembang dengan baik di pulau Jawa, sehingga dapat menopang perekonomian petani kopi gayo di Aceh.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of women in achieving the SDGs through national development. In the current era, there are many women's groups that are able to take action in public spaces. The method used in this research is a literature study by looking at various data and documents related to the role of women from various sources. The results of this research show that the main role of women in development is in the fields of education, health, labor force participation and issues of violence. In the field of education, women's educational status reached 23.03% in rural areas and 24.14% in urban areas. In the health sector, 64.1% of women have health insurance and 66.78% of women have main jobs in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries, wholesale trade and processing industry sectors. The goal of the SDGs is to end poverty, reduce inequality and protect the environment. In the SDGs, it can be estimated that more than 600 million new jobs need to be created by 2030. Basically, the main principle of the SDGs is to leave no one behind or no one left behind.

Abstract

Currently, the percentage of women entrepreneurs in Indonesia is 21%, much better than the global average of 8%. However, there are still many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) managed by women that have not received serious attention from various parties. There is data showing that the management of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is managed on the basis of kinship and does not yet have strong management, this is what makes women's Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) experience ups and downs because in terms of their capital is not yet strong. As time goes by more and more women are also able to succeed in the business world and are able to develop it. This study uses a qualitative approach, with a descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that the participation of women as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) has considerable opportunities and challenges. Nearly 50% of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at the national and regional levels are women. This is indicated by the number of business units operating in Babat Acne Village, Surabaya City, of 47 business units, 34 of which are managed by women. This means that in this case the patriarchal culture that is rooted in society has begun to disappear.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity and quality of processed milkfish products through technology utilization and product diversification innovation. The implementation methods were oriented toward solving priority problems through ergonomics training, social media marketing training, assistance in obtaining halal certification, and technology transfer in the form of a pressure cooker and charcoal grill. The intervention focused on three main problem areas: production, marketing, and management. The results of the program showed a significant improvement in the production capacity of the Cheisya Kitchen business with the provision of Appropriate Technology (AT) equipment, namely a 20-kg capacity pressure cooker and a 60×40×85 cm charcoal grill machine. Production capacity increased by approximately 50% among three assisted partners. In terms of efficiency, the use of these machines enabled larger-scale production within shorter processing times. Partners also received training on operating the AT machines to ensure sustainable use. From a quality perspective, ergonomics training helped partners organize the production process more effectively. Furthermore, the processed milkfish products successfully obtained halal certification, enabling their distribution through online sales platforms. Partners were also trained and mentored in packaging using a vacuum sealer and in digital marketing through TikTok and Shopee, contributing to increased market reach and business competitiveness.

Abstract

Poverty remains a complex social problem in urban areas, especially for families with children with special needs (ABK). This condition not only causes economic limitations, but also limited social and educational access. The Surabaya City Government, through the Social Services Agency, launched the Rumah Anak Prestasi Berkebutuhan Khusus (Special Needs Children's Home) Program as a form of social empowerment for families with children with special needs, with a focus on skills development, economic improvement, and social inclusion. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the program as a poverty reduction strategy in Surabaya using the theory of program effectiveness according to Budiani (2007), which includes four indicators: program targeting accuracy, program socialization, program goal achievement, and program monitoring. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with the location at the Rumah Anak Prestasi Berkebutuhan Khusus (Special Needs Children's Home) operating under the Surabaya City Social Services Agency in 2025. The results of the study indicate that this program is substantively effective in increasing family economic capacity through skills training such as painting, sewing, screen printing, and batik. Sales of crafts made by children with special needs contribute to increased family income and strengthen children's self-confidence. However, the program's effectiveness still needs to be improved in terms of monitoring and economic sustainability after participants graduate from the training. This study concludes that the Home for Achieving Children with Special Needs Program is an innovative strategy by the Surabaya city government to reduce poverty based on social inclusion and empowerment of families with special needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies and challenges in implementing gender-responsive protection policies for Indonesian migrant workers. Migrant worker protection is a strategic issue that requires attention to gender equality, given that the majority of migrant workers are women and are vulnerable to discrimination, violence, and exploitation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and reviewing policy documents at the central and regional levels, particularly at the One-Stop Integrated Service (LTSA). The results indicate that the main strategies for policy implementation include strengthening institutional capacity, providing gender-based services, improving legal literacy for migrant workers, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation. However, implementation still faces various challenges, including limited human resources with a gender perspective, suboptimal cross-sectoral coordination, and minimal policy dissemination at the grassroots level. This study recommends the need to integrate a gender perspective into every stage of migrant worker protection, increase gender-responsive budgets, and involve civil society in policy oversight.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) berupa mesin pelunak duri bandeng diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas dan kualitas produksi usaha olahan bandeng. UMKM berlokasi di Kelurahan Sumber Rejo, Kecamatan Pakal, Kota Surabaya yang bernama Cheisya Kitchen. Selama ini, mitra usaha menghadapi kendala utama dalam proses produksi, yaitu 1) kapasitas produksi belum memenuhi target dan kebutuhan pasar 2) peralatan produksi belum dapat menghasilkan produk dalam jumlah besar 3) stretegi pemasaran belum memanfaatkan marketplace 4) pengemasan produk belum sesuai dengan standar pengemasan. Hal terebut menyebabkan kurangnya efisiensi kerja, menurunkan kualitas produk, serta membatasi variasi olahan yang dapat dihasilkan. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya daya saing produk olahan bandeng di pasar lokal maupun regional. Melalui kegiatan PKM ini, tim pelaksana memberikan solusi berupa teknologi mesin pelunak duri yang mampu mempercepat proses pengolahan, mesin charcoal grill untuk diversifikasi olahan bandeng, serta alat mendukung produksi lainnya. Selain itu, dilakukan pelatihan teknis penggunaan mesin, pelatihan ergonomi dapur produksi, manajemen produksi, pengemasan produk, serta strategi pemasaran digital agar mitra mampu memperluas jangkauan pasar. Selain itu produk mitra juga didaftarkan sebagai produk halal agar dapat mendukung kepercayaan konsumen terhadap produk olahan bandeng. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kapasitas produksi hingga dua kali lipat dibandingkan metode manual, serta peningkatan kualitas produk yang lebih higienis, menarik, dan sesuai standar pasar. Dengan adanya inovasi teknologi ini, mitra mampu memproduksi olahan bandeng dengan waktu yang singkat, meningkatkan pendapatan, serta memperkuat keberlanjutan usaha. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis teknologi tepat guna yang dapat direplikasi di UMKM lainnya.
