Abstract

Early handling on sting emergencies due to wasp stings are must be handled quickly & appropriatly things that need to be considered  to avoid fatal condition. The treatment of bee sting emergencies  is not yet known by many people and they only do modest treatment by applying cold compresses and leaving the wasp sting marks. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of insect bite rescue training on the treatment of injured victims of wasp stings in the village Kenongosari Soko Tuban. This study uses a design Pre-Experimental, by one-group design pre-post test design. Simple random sampling used take a sample from 32 respondes. The instrument used are SOP and observation sheets. Data analysis using statistical testsWilcoxon. The results showed then was in scores of 29 respondents who experienced an increase. Analysis of research data using the Wilcoxon test. Wilcoxon test results obtained Asymp results. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 with a significant value <0.05, then H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the Insect Bite Rescue Training has an influence on the Behavior of Injuring Victims. And it is hoped that Insect Bite Rescue Training can be applied by for handling when exposed to wasp stings.

Abstract

Introduction. Mothers are the most important role in the family when children are sick and mothers tend to be unprepared to deal with children with febrile seizures. Emergency training using the Chair Side Talk method is expected to provide mothers-to-be to increase their abilities if one day their child has a seizure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of emergency training with the chair side talk method on the mother's ability to treat children's febrile seizures. Method. The research method used is pre-experimental , with a one group pre-post test design. The research sample was 28 women from Mander Village, Tambakboyo District who were selected by simple random sampling. SOP research instruments and questionnaire sheets. The analysis of this study used the Wilxocon test. Result & Analysis. The results showed that most of the mothers' abilities in dealing with children with febrile seizures before being given training were categorized as incapable, and after being given emergency training using the chair side talk method, most of them were categorized as capable. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a difference in the ability of mothers in handling febrile seizures after being given training with the chair side talk method with p value = 0.000 at a = 0.05 (p <0.05). It is hoped  that after having the child's ability to have seizures, the mother can take care of the child during a seizure. Discussion. There is an effect of providing emergency training with the chair side talk method in handling febrile seizures.

Abstract

Introduction. The ability to identify flood victims in Indonesia is still low, therefore efforts to improve the ability to identify victims in adolescents must be improved. Triage training based on Tabletop Disaster Exercise (TDE) will make it easier for adolescents to understand disaster scenarios. This study aims to determine triage training on tabletop disaster exercise (TDE) to increase the ability to identify victims of flood disasters in adolescents. Method. The research design used in this study was a pre-experiment with a one-group pre-post test design.  The population of 30 people was selected using a simple random sampling technique to obtain 28 respondents. Results and Analysis. The independent variable is Triage training and the dependent variable is the ability to identify disaster victims as measured using the chi-square test. The analysis in this study used the Chi-Square Test with a significance level of α = 0.05 and the processing was carried out using SPSS software version 26.0 for Windows, obtaining the Asymp Sig. Value. = 0.000. So p = 0.000 < 0.05 then H1 = accepted. Discussion. Based on this analysis meaning that there is a triage training on tabletop disaster exercise (TDE) to increase the ability to identify victims of flood disasters in adolescents.

Abstract

The level of knowledge can influence whether a person takes preventive measures against the risk of disease. People with high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and obesity are at risk of developing heart failure. The risk can be prevented if the sufferer is aware and adopts a healthy lifestyle. The aim of this non-profit activity is to spread knowledge about risk factors and proactively increase the number of people affected by risk groups. The partners of this charity are residents of Semanding Village who are included in the risk group for heart failure. The methods used by the team are lectures and demonstrations, community service activities lead to increased knowledge before and after training, this is shown by seven questions that can be answered before training 2-3 and post training 5-6. It was concluded that health education provided to people at risk of heart failure will most likely increase knowledge, prevention efforts and positive attitudes of the community towards heart failure.

Abstract

Background: The high frequency of traffic accidents along the Pantura Tuban corridor underscores the urgent need for community preparedness to act as first responders before professional medical services arrive at the scene. Knowledge and self-confidence are widely recognized as key determinants of the community’s capacity to deliver appropriate first aid. Purpose: This study aimed to examine the relationship between levels of knowledge and self-confidence and the community’s capacity to perform first aid interventions. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational analytic design using a cross-sectional framework. A total of 155 respondents were selected through cluster sampling based on strategic areas along the Pantura corridor. Data were collected using a First Aid Knowledge Questionnaire, a Self-Efficacy Scale in Emergency Response, and an Observation Sheet for First Aid Simulation in Traffic Accident Victims, and were analyzed using the Spearman Rho test. Result: Spearman Rho analysis demonstrated a significant positive correlation between knowledge and first aid ability (r = 0.614; p < 0.001), as well as between self-confidence and first aid ability (r = 0.38; p = 0.01). Implication: Knowledge and self-confidence are primary determinants of community first aid competence. These findings highlight the importance of practice-based training models that integrate both technical and psychological components to develop responsive, resilient, and empowered community emergency preparedness systems.
