Abstract

This study aims to provide solutions to the problem of Arabic learning at MTS Mambaul Ulum, where students tend to consider Arabic subjects as foreign and less interesting due to monotonous curriculum, less attractive teaching methods, and inappropriate use of educational media. As a solution, the Arabic teacher decided to apply the Mustaqilli method in the first grade of MTS Mambaul Ulum. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach involving 98 students. Data are obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with data condensation stages to analyze the results of observations, interviews, and documentation related to the implementation of the Mustaqilli method. The results showed that the implementation of the Mustaqilli method was able to increase student activeness in learning Arabic. The learning process is carried out at 07.00-09.00 WIB, with emphasis on the importance of learning Arabic and reading the book without harokat. The formal findings of the implementation of the Mustaqilli Method are able to create an active, fun learning atmosphere, and provide positive results for students' progress in understanding and practicing Arabic.

Abstract

Communication skills are very important in everyday life to convey information, expressions, thoughts, and ideas to other people. This study uses a qualitative method. The data used in this research was taken from observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The introduction of an integrative communicative approach to Muhadatsah learning at Ma'had ‘Aly Nurul Jadid is an innovative step in improving the students' Arabic language skills. This approach comprehensively integrates aspects of communication and language skills, thereby enabling students to develop their speaking skills more effectively. As an Islamic educational institution, Ma'had ‘Aly realizes the importance of learning Arabic to understand religious texts. With integrative communicative-based Muhadatsah learning, it can create a learning environment that supports direct interaction between musyrifaat and students, helping students understand and use Arabic in everyday contexts. This research aims to determine the application of the muhadatsah method in collaboration with an integrative communicative approach so as to obtain maximum results, namely creating students who are proficient in understanding and communicating using Arabic, so that students are able to master and apply the language well in various communication situations in real life. In this way, the application of a communicative approach in muhadatsah learning can form students who are capable of using Arabic and are able to apply it in real life, which is relevant to everyday life.

Abstract

إن تعليم اللغة العربية لقصد ترقية مهارة الكلام لا يخلو من توفر المفردات، فالمفردات هي الأساس لبناء اتصال الفرد مع بني جنسه. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى وصف تعليم المفردات في ترقية مهارة الكلام. وأجري هذا البحث باستخدام المنهج الوصفي معتمدا على المقابلة والملاحظة والوثائق في جمع البيانات الكيفية ثم حللت البيانات بجمعها وعرضها وتفصيلها واستنباطها في إصدار الحكم. ومن نتائج هذا البحث أن تعليم المفردات في ترقية مهارة الكلام يتم بحفظ المفردات وتقديم القصة وتقديم الآراء والمحادثة والمناقشة وإلصاق المفردات وتكوين البيئة اللغوية وممارسة الحوار فيها، ويعد ذلك مما يؤدي إلى ترقية كفاءة الطلاب في مهارة الكلام العربي.

Abstract

The integration of instructional media, interval repetition methods (drill), and role-playing strategies in Arabic language learning has been proven effective in enhancing students' vocabulary mastery. This study aims to explore students' experiences and perceptions of three primary strategies: the drill method, role-playing, and self-learning tools. A qualitative case study approach was employed at MAN 1 Probolinggo, involving 11th and 12th-grade students in the religious studies program. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and classroom observations. The findings indicate that the drill method is effective in helping students recall and comprehend Arabic vocabulary, showing stronger retention compared to conventional methods. Meanwhile, role-playing enhances students' active participation, confidence in speaking, and ability to construct spontaneous sentences, with the majority of students demonstrating significant improvement in Arabic fluency. Additionally, the use of technology-based self-learning tools, such as educational applications and digital vocabulary flashcards, further strengthens vocabulary retention. The combination of these three methods makes the learning process more engaging, dynamic, and effective, reducing students' boredom in learning Arabic. The study's findings affirm that integrating the drill method, role-playing, and self-learning tools in Arabic language instruction can improve memory retention, structural understanding, and students' speaking skills. Therefore, the implementation of these strategies in the Arabic language curriculum is recommended to enhance learning quality and foster students' independence in mastering Arabic.

Abstract

The learning of the yellow book in Islamic boarding schools is still dominated by the Al-Kamal methods, which focus on understanding Arabic grammar and translating texts. However, this method is often less effective in improving students' speaking and writing skills and is considered less attractive. This problem is a challenge in maintaining the effectiveness of learning the yellow book in the modern era. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Al-Kamal methods in learning the yellow book and explore the challenges faced in its application. The research method used is a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and document analysis techniques in several Islamic boarding schools that still apply this method. The results of the study show that the Nahwu and Tarjamah methods are effective in building a systematic understanding of Arabic grammar, but have limitations in improving the productive skills of Arabic and are less attractive to students. Other factors that affect its effectiveness include a lack of teaching innovation and a lack of integration with modern learning methods. The implication of this research is the need for innovation in learning the yellow book by combining this traditional method with interactive approaches, educational technology, and contextual methods so that learning is more effective and attractive for students in the digital era.

Abstract

Penerapan insya’ muwajjah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab adalah salah satu metode yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Al-mashduqiah Kraksaan Probolinggo. Maksud dari penerapan ini adalah sebagai cara guru dalam mengajar bahasa Arab khususnya kemampuan mengarang siswa secara terbimbing, siswa dibimbing melalu buku ajar yaitu kitab “Durusul lughah Al-Arabiyah” beserta media lainnya. Guru bertindak langsung dalam penerapan ini, tujuannya agar siswa aktif dalam menulis dan menghafal kosa kata Arab. Oleh karena itu maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan insya’ muwajjah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab siswa JMA Pondok Pesantren Al-mashduqiah.Riset yang digunakan merupakan riset lapangan yang bertabiat deskriptif kualitatif. Guru bahasa Arab dan siswa JMA Pondok Pesantren Al-mashduqiah Kraksaan Probolinggo selaku subjek dalam riset ini, sedangkan insya’ muwajjah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab adalah objek penelitiannya. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi merupakan metode untuk mengumpulkan data.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1)Menghafal kosa kata Arab khususnya pada benda sekitar  2)Siswa sesering mungkin  membuat jumlah mufidah sebelum masuk ke maharah kitabah 3)Menulis sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan sehari-hari agar menjadi kebiasaan yang baik walaupun sedikit. 4)Siswa membiasakan menulis kalimat sederhana seminggu sekali adalah target seorang Guru.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan menulis (Maharah Kitabah) teks naratif dan argumentatif berbahasa Arab mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab semester II Universitas Nurul Jadid, melalui pemanfaatan ChatGPT untuk koreksi otomatis, perluasan ide, dan latihan kebahasaan mandiri. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan s (PAR), menekankan keterlibatan aktif 29 peserta dalam mengidentifikasi kendala, menyusun solusi, dan merefleksikan hasil praktik. Pelatihan terbagi dua tahapan: sesi tatap muka 120 menit praktik penulisan dan simulasi ChatGPT, dilanjutkan pendampingan daring dua minggu melalui Telegram. Mahasiswa menggunakan ChatGPT untuk koreksi struktur kalimat dan kosakata. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada ketepatan struktur gramatikal, koherensi paragraf, penggunaan kosakata kontekstual, kemandirian, serta keaktifan menulis. Partisipasi mahasiswa tergolong tinggi, menunjukkan antusiasme dalam merespons umpan balik dan mengoreksi tulisan. Integrasi teknologi generatif ini efektif mengisi kesenjangan pembelajaran konvensional, terutama koreksi berkelanjutan dan feedback cepat. Pendekatan ini membangun ekosistem belajar kolaboratif dan literasi digital. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini membuktikan efektivitas integrasi teknologi AI dalam pengembangan keterampilan menulis, baik aspek teknis kebahasaan maupun metakognitif seperti refleksi diri, otonomi belajar, dan literasi digital.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pentingnya penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilam menulis Bahasa Arab melalui kolaborasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas metode Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis Bahasa Arab melalui kolaborasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksperimental dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 22 siswa kelas VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Tibu Sisok. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 10 soal dan soal essay sebanyak 5 soal. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PBL menghasilkan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,806, yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi atau 80,65% menunjukkan bahwa metode PBL melalui kolaborasi siswa berperan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis Bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan metode pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya kolaborasi siswa dalam konteks pembelajaran. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah dukungan untuk penerapan metode PBL dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis Bahasa Arab di kalangan siswa kelas VIII.Abstract:  The importance of this research is to improve arabic writing skill through student collaboration. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in enhancing Arabic writing skills through student collaboration. The research employs a quantitative experimental approach with a sample of 22 eighth-grade students from Madrasah Tsanawiyah Tibu Sisok. The data collection instruments consist of a multiple-choice test with 10 items and an essay section with 5 questions. Data analysis results indicate that the implementation of PBL yields an N-Gain score of 0.806, categorizing it as high, with 80.65% indicating that the PBL method through student collaboration effectively enhances Arabic writing skills. This research contributes positively to the development of Arabic language learning methods at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level, emphasizing the importance of student collaboration in the learning context. Practical implications of this study endorse the adoption of the PBL method to improve Arabic writing skills among eighth-grade students.

Abstract

The transformation of Islamic education in the digital era demands a balance between technological advancement and the spiritual development of learners. This study aims to analyze the meaning, relevance, and implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum within the madrasah context, which emphasizes compassion (rahmah), empathy, and the humanization of learning as the core of the educational process. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design at MA Riyadlus Sholihin Kota Probolinggo, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the Love-Based Curriculum strengthens students’ spiritual and moral dimensions through reflective learning and the teacher’s role as murabbi (spiritual mentor). Although institutional support is relatively strong, limitations in teacher training and technological adaptation remain challenges. This research highlights the urgency of adopting a love-oriented paradigm in Islamic education as a solution to the moral crisis and dehumanization found in modern education.
