Abstract

Cellular is the most important thing for today's society. For this reason, a strong signal is a priority as a means that must exist to support the cellular to work properly. Installation of cellular towers for the need for strong signal is important. PT. Solusi Tunas Pertama is a company engaged in cellular tower construction services. The problem found is that it is difficult to determine the right tower installation due to the conditions and environment as well as the impact of the cellular tower. For this reason, an analysis is needed in determining the right area for the installation of the cellular tower. In this study, the authors use the criteria of population density, distance, access, existing towers and costs. These five criteria are often used by companies for location assessment. The author uses the SMARTER method in analyzing the determination of the location of the cellular tower installation of PT. Solusi Tunas Pertama. The results obtained are that the Gunung Kiri Village area is the right location for the installation of cellular towers with a value of 60,58929 compared to other locations, namely Sisiran Forest and Balunga Rice Fields. The author conducted this research with the aim of assisting the company in determining the location of tower installation with the right confidence without the need to just guess so that the decision is not right.

Abstract

Currently, retail business competition in Indonesia is very tight, it is proven that it is easy to find retailers around, and in almost every region of Indonesia. To provide satisfaction to customers, companies must be able to sell goods or services of the best quality, at reasonable prices and improve service quality. This research was conducted by distributing 100 questionnaires and calculating using the Customer Satisfaction Index (Csi) method which aims to determine the overall level of customer satisfaction and then calculating the Service Quality (Sq) to determine the GAP value or the gap in customer perceptions and expectations. From the results of calculations using the Customer Satisfaction Index (Csi) MajuBersama method gets a score of 90.74%, which means that customers are very satisfied with MajuBersama's services and must continue to be maintained and improved for Alfamart to get a score of 78.32% indicating that the level of satisfaction Alfamart customers in general are in the satisfied category, which means there is one more level, namely the range of 81 to 100. So it can be said that the performance of Alfamart is good, but Alfamart must continue to improve the quality of service, especially on attributes whose service value is less than satisfactory and can maintain or improve attributes that are very important and very satisfying in order to increase satisfaction with Alfamartservices

Abstract

Boarding house is a service that offers a room or a place to live in with a certain amount of payment for a certain period (generally payments per month). Currently, most boarding houses available in Medan still use a manual system to manually record transactions between homestay residents and boarding owners. The application of this manual system often faces various problems, such as the absence of a notification system regarding payment due dates to residents, the difficulty of making complaints to owners and residents cannot find out whether their complaints have been known and responded to by the owner or not, boarding owners must check their records to find out residents which ones have not paid off, so it often takes a long time to obtain the information. To further support the performance of this marketplace, a recommendation feature will be added to the marketplace application. The method that can be used is the Social Trust Path method. The Social Trust Path method is a method of calculating the value of the confidence level of something depending on the level of trust of the user who gives the statement. The tools used to perform analysis and design are use case diagrams. This website is built using PHP coding and MySQL database. The result of this research is a web-based boarding house recommendation application that can be used to provide boarding place information for users.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of employees from the work from home (WFH), work from office (WFO) and WFH-WFO (hybrid) methods after the Covid-19 pandemic PPKM (Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities) was revoked by the government in December 2022 This research is a descriptive research using a survey method using a purposive sampling technique, in which the authors distribute questionnaires to respondents from 100 employees to ask for their opinion. Respondents are employees of the telecommunications sector in one of the telecommunications companies in the city of Medan. The survey period was conducted for one month in January 2023. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many patterns of human life, one of which is the work from home, work from office, and hybrid work systems. With the announcement of the end of the Covid-19 PPKM in Indonesia, researchers wanted to find out how much influence the effectiveness of employees who had previously been accustomed to working patterns during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is what is discussed in this article. There are four criteria in determining the effectiveness of employees after the Covid-19 pandemic PPKM. The first criterion is productivity, then flexibility, then communication and the last is administration. From the results of the data processing, some data was generated showing that employees preferred the WFH work system, namely with the highest ranking value of 0.4734, which was still carried out after the PPKM information was revoked by the government, because with this working method employees are more flexible, can work at any time and feel more protected and considered comfortable to complete the job.

Abstract

In this research, this study aims to explore the potential and benefits of applying the Trend Moment method in predicting crude oil price trends at PT Asian Agri. The method used is the Trend Moment Method. Based on the results of the evaluation of the trend moment, it can be concluded that the method is good at predicting crude oil prices. With historical data for 2 years. The evaluation value shows that the trend moment value for Adj Close crude oil prices, the value obtained is 1615.65. UMK produces a value of 5079929.413333333. MAPE produces values ​​of 2.698007510149617 and 1.94.

Abstract

This research delves into the application of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to address the complexities of identifying herbal leaf species in Indonesia, often challenging due to the vast variations in shape, color, and texture. Utilizing a dataset of herbal leaf images acquired using the Bing Downloader Scrapping technique, a CNN model was trained to classify various plant varieties with a remarkable accuracy rate of 92.66%. Additionally, the analysis of low loss values indicates that the model not only effectively maps the intricate features of each image to the correct category but also efficiently reduces error rates. These findings offer a significant contribution to the context of herbal medicine development and biodiversity conservation, opening up avenues for technological integration in efforts to preserve Indonesia's natural and cultural resources.

Abstract

This research discusses the design of a fiber-to-the-home network in Taman Sekata Indah Housing, Tanjung Selamat, Sunggal, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra 20351 using the Google Earth Pro application. Abstract

Trend Moment and Forecasting are data retrieval methods that have accurate and effective suitability to handle problems such as large amounts of data. The Trend Moment method is an approach that uses special statistical and mathematical calculation techniques to replace broken lines formed from the company's historical data with a straight line function. The Star Communicator store is one of the stores in the city of Medan that is engaged in selling various brands of smartphones and their accessories. Currently, the Star Communicator store still uses a conventional system to record its sales data. The admin staff will record product sales data. Then, at the end of the month, a sales recapitulation will be made to the store owner. The implementation of this system has a weakness where the company owner cannot know which products are more in demand by customers in a certain period. This information is needed so that the company owner can control smartphone stock in the company. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a smartphone prediction system. The result of this research is a desktop application that can be used to predict the number of smartphone sales in a certain period. From the results of the tests carried out, information was obtained that the average level of accuracy of the Trend Moment method was 70.22%. This means that the level of accuracy of the prediction results from the Trend Moment method is still not good. To improve the accuracy of the prediction results, the Trend Moment method can be combined with other methods, such as the Linear Regression method. In addition, other supporting factors for predictions can also be added, such as holiday factors or certain holidays which are often known as the holiday effect.

Abstract

Penyandang Masalah Kesejahteraan Sosial (PMKS)are community groups facing difficulties in meeting basic life needs due to factors such as poverty, disability, drug dependence, and disasters. In North Sumatra Province, the distribution of PMKS varies significantly across regions, requiring targeted and region-specific social policies. This study aims to cluster 33 districts/cities based on the number and types of PMKS in 2022 using the K-Means algorithm. This method was selected for its effectiveness in uncovering patterns from complex datasets. The clustering process involved multiple iterations until convergence, and the results were validated using RapidMiner. The findings reveal three clusters: Cluster 1 (two regions) with a high level of PMKS, Cluster 2 (six regions) with a moderate level, and Cluster 3 (25 regions) with a low level. Regions with high PMKS levels, such as Batu Bara and Karo, show dominance in categories like extreme poverty, disability, and socially vulnerable women. The results provide a clearer picture of social welfare conditions across the region and serve as a valuable reference for designing more focused and efficient social welfare policies tailored to regional needs.
