This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah South Tangerang, Banten. The research method used is a survey method with data analysis techniques through statistical correlation tests, simple linear regression and multiple regression. The research population included 144 students in class X of SMA Muhammadiyah, with a sample of 106 students determined through multistage random sampling techniques. The research instruments include zakat knowledge tests, zakat digital literacy, game methods and religiosity attitudes. The results of the study show that zakat digital literacy, IZI Game game methods, and religiosity attitudes have a direct positive and significant influence on zakat knowledge. Digital literacy of zakat and game methods also have a significant positive effect on religiosity. The indirect influence of digital literacy on zakat knowledge through religiosity attitudes is not significant, while the indirect influence of game methods through religiosity attitudes is significant. These findings confirm that increasing zakat knowledge is more effective through interactive learning that combines digital literacy, game methods, and the development of students' religiosity attitudes.

Abstract

This study explores the level of Islamic practice for Muallaf assisted by the Zakat Management Institute (LPZ) in Indonesia, which receive zakat funds. In addition, this study will also analyse the relationship between the level of zakat distribution and the level of religious practice, with the main focus on using the allocation of zakat funds to strengthen faith and practice Islamic values. This study uses quantitative methods involving as many as 135 converts as respondents. The descriptive statistical method describes the impact of zakat distributed by LPZ to asnaf Muallaf as zakat recipients. The results of this study indicate that the level of distribution of zakat and religious practice is positively related and shows high coefficient values of 4.45 and 4.63. Then, if viewed based on the correlation between the distribution of zakat and spiritual preparation for converts, it is significantly high. Therefore, the Zakat Management Institute (LPZ) can optimise the empowerment of zakat for converts.

Abstract

This article aims to discover how women’s lifestyle media constructs a false awareness about women’s bodies through body positivity discourse. Using media and gender perspectives, false consciousness, body positivity, and Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis, this research finds that the media produces body positivity discourse as a narrative that ‘all bodies are beautiful, whatever their shape.’ Body positivity discourse refers to fat bodies as ‘normality’ to fight the stigma that fat bodies are not beautiful and are a problem for women. Body positivity evolved from the fat acceptance movement. This body positivity discourse is built on the construct that women must accept their body shape to live happily. The media produces the message through photos and texts that fat bodies are delicate as long as they are healthy. It ignores that medical obesity carries serious health consequences for many women. Thus, this research shows that instead of building women’s positive acceptance of their body shape, the media creates a misguided consciousness of fat bodies from a medical perspective.
