Abstract

This study was conducted to try to understand Hasan Hanafi's hermeneutic thinking in the context of the interpretation of the Qur'an. Given that the Qur'an is a holy book that deserves to be applied throughout all times and in various places. There are various methods that can be used to interpret the Qur'an. One of them is the hermeneutic approach. Not a few hermeneutic figures who offer various concepts, from orientalists to Muslim scholars themselves. However, the interpretation of the Qur'an with hermeneutics that is relevant to the slogan above is an interpretation that can provide solutions to the problems of the people, especially Muslims. Among the theories that are appropriate and in line with these interests are the hermeneutics offered by Hanafi, namely the emancipatory critical hermeneutics. This model of hermeneutics is a science that determines the relationship between consciousness (critical attitude) and its object, namely the holy book. It has a lasting stage called the historical consciousness phase, the eiditic phase of consciousness, and the practical phase of consciousness. Hermeneutics is a science that can explain God's revelation from letters to reality, from logical to practical, from words to the world, and from God's thoughts into real life.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the symbol of women in the Qur'an. Because women have always been discriminated against and have not received equality, to find answers from the Qur'an, the author looks for it with the semiotic approach of Roland Barthes, who holds that everything can be approached in two stages; namely the first stage is called the linguistic system and the second stage is called the mythical system (myth). In Barthes's view, Myth is assumed to be a signifying system built on three things: the signifier, the signified, and the sign. Based on Barthes' theoretical approach to the symbols of zauj, imra’ah, and women as queens, women and men have similarities and differences. In one case, they are the same, but in another, they are different. They have similarities in origin, namely both from land, similarity in status as humans, equality in terms of responsibilities, job eligibility, and the like. But in terms of duties and obligations, in terms of physical, mental both have differences.

Abstract

Terdapat banyak konsep dalam al-Qur’an yang dijelaskan secara terpisah dalam berbagai ayatnya. Salah satu konsep yang sering kali menjadi polemik di khalayak umum adalah mengenai konsep membela Allah. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah untuk mengungkap konsep membela Allah dalam al-Qur’an yang mencakup makna dan bentuk dari membela Allah tersebut dengan menggunakan sudut pandang tiga mufasir, yaitu Ar-Razi, Ibn Al-Khathib dan Quraisy Shihab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan serta merujuk pada kitab tafsir yang ditulis oleh tiga mufasir yang telah disebutkan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah bahwa makna membela Allah dalam al-Qur’an adalah membela agama-Nya, rasul-Nya, golongan atau kelompok-Nya, ajaran atau pengajaran-Nya dan nilai-nilai yang ada di dalamnya. Sedangkan bentuk implementasi dari membela Allah tersebut dilakukan dengan beragam bentuk, seperti: seperti jihad, dakwah, menyampaikan dalil agama, memerintahkan pada kebaikan dan mencegah terjadinya kemunkaran. Semua bentuk tersebut disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi dari pelakunya masing-masing.

Abstract

Hubungan antara agama dan pembangunan tetap menjadi arena perdebatan dalam ilmu sosial, berayun antara perspektif yang memandang agama sebagai penghalang modernisasi dan perspektif yang mengakui potensi transformatifnya. Artikel ini secara kritis menelaah hubungan agama dan pembangunan melalui studi pustaka komprehensif yang menyintesiskan tiga kerangka teoretis utama: teori modernisasi klasik, tesis etika Protestan Weber, dan diskursus pembangunan berkelanjutan berbasis nilai kontemporer. Analisis menggunakan metodologi kualitatif-deskriptif dengan meninjau karya ilmiah klasik dan kontemporer secara sistematis untuk memetakan pengaruh multidimensional agama pada empat ranah yang saling terkait: sosiologis, ekonomi, politik, dan budaya. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa agama beroperasi sebagai fenomena bermata dua dalam proses pembangunan. Di satu sisi, agama memperkuat modal sosial melalui solidaritas komunal, membentuk etos kerja produktif dan kejujuran ekonomi, memfasilitasi mekanisme redistribusi kekayaan (zakat, infak, wakaf), melegitimasi kebijakan publik berorientasi keadilan, serta memperkuat identitas budaya dan aset wisata religi. Di sisi lain, konservatisme kaku, politisasi identitas, dan interpretasi tekstual yang resisten terhadap inovasi dapat secara substansial menghambat kemajuan pembangunan. Sintesis yang ditawarkan mengadvokasi kerangka tata kelola inklusif-dialogis yang mengintegrasikan prinsip keadilan moral, keseimbangan material-spiritual, dan inovasi kelembagaan—khususnya keuangan syariah dan filantropi produktif—yang selaras dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan. Artikel ini berkontribusi memberikan kerangka analitis yang menimbang kekuatan pendorong dan penghambat agama sekaligus menawarkan panduan praktis bagi pembuat kebijakan untuk menumbuhkan kolaborasi produktif dan berkeadaban antara institusi negara, masyarakat sipil, dan organisasi berbasis keimanan.
