Abstract

The aim of this study is to explain the influences of computer based instruction, interactive multimedia-based simulation model on the curiosity of the fourth grade students. The design of this study uses a quasi experiment method with nonequivalent control-group design. The classes used were class IVA, IVB, and IVC with with each student numbers 24, 29, and 26. In this study, class IVA is used as a control class, while class IVB and class IVC as an experimental class. The results of the pretest showed that the curiosity of IVA students (control) was 65, while the post-test was 76.66. In class IVB (experiment 1) shows that, at pretest it was 63.44 and post-test 81. Meanwhile in the IVC (experiment 2) class the pretest was 61.53 and post-test 82.3. Thus the results of the Independent Sample T-test for students' curiosity showed significance (p) 0.041 <0.05 so Ho was rejected. This shows that, there are significant differences in curiosity of students who use computer based instruction products, interactive multimedia-based simulation models (experimental class) with those using conventional models (control class). With these results, it is expected to add to the repertoire of knowledge and alternative ways for teachers to influence students' curiosity, so that the development potential of students in the learning process becomes maximal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar pada pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Tahapan penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, yang dimana setiap siklus terdapat empat tahapan: (1) perencanaan; (2) pelaksanaan tindakan; (3) tahap observasi dan evaluasi, dan; (4) refleksi. Tindakan yang diberikan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa adalah dengan mengimplementasikan computer based instruction model simulasi. Hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan klasikal siklus I yaitu 75% mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 83.3%. Demikian pula dengan aktivitas belajar siswa terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I yaitu memperoleh skor 47.5 dengan kategori cukup aktif, pada siklus II menjadi 62.5 dengan kategori aktif. Sedangkan skor aktivitas guru juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari siklus I memperoleh skor 14.5 berkategori sangat baik, pada siklus II memperoleh skor 17.5 berkategori sangat baik. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan computer based instruction model simulasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas III SD tahun pelajaran 2014/2015

Abstract

Students’ autonomy toward teacher during the learning activities leads one-way learning. Consequently, students have less autonomy in the learning activities. Therefore, this research adressed to implement the media computer based instruction (simulation model) in improving the students’ autonomy in a science learning. The total participants in this research were 79 of the 4th grade students from a purposively primary schools during the first semester of 2018. They were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group (n=55) and the control group (n=24). The research used a pre-test post-test quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The students’ autonomy data were collected by using the observation sheet for each of post-test and pre-test which consisted of five aspects i.e. motivation, initiative, confidence, discipline, and responsibility. The independent sample t-test was used statistically to compare the average score of the students’ autonomy during the pre-test and post-test. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 11.0 statistics program. The findings of the research indicated that computer based instruction (simulation model) affects the students’ autonomy significantly in the science learning. Thus, the researcher believes in the further study, the computer based instructions (simulation model) can be intergrated with the model or method in the learning activity to improve the students’ autonomy in learning science.

Abstract

Pelajaran matematika adalah salah satu dari mata pelajaran yang dapat memberikan nilai-nilai yang terdapat di dalamnya. Mempelajari matematika dapat mempengaruhi emosi dalam diri peserta didik, hal ini dikarenakan peserta didik ada yang suka terhadap pelajaran matematika da nada pula yang tidak suka. Mempelajari matematika memberikan gambaran akan hubungan antara kecerdasan emosilan dengan hasil belajar matematika pada peserta didik. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas V MIN Jelantik.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto.  Uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi.  Penelitian ini menghasilkan perhitungan uji hipotesis regresi signifikan karena Fhitung>Ftabel yaitu 5.06   2.12 dengan sumbangan efektif (SE) sebesar 21,16%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas V MIN Jelantik.

Abstract

Implementasi strategi active learning metode reading aloud bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak pada siswa kelas III SD. Data hasil penelitian melalui observasi diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata aktivitas siswa pada siklus I yaitu, 38,5 dengan kriteria cukup aktif namun terjadi peningkatan pada siklus II yaitu 48,5 dengan keriteria aktif. Data hasil belajar siswa melalui tes tulis pada siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata 79,16 dan siklus II adalah 83,47. Sedangkan skor ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal pada siklus I adalah 79,16%, dan siklus II adalah 87,5%. Adapun penelitian ini dinyatakan berhasil karena telah tercapainya indikator pembelajaran dan mencapai atau lebih dari Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Selain itu, dapat disimpulkan ada peningkatan keterampilan menyimak siswa dengan menerapkan strategi active learning metode reading aloud siswa kelas III SD.

Abstract

Implementasi Quantum Learning dilakukan dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi pada siswa kelas III di salah satu SD Kecamatan Cakranegara. Data hasil penelitian melalui observasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata aktivitas siswa menulis karangan narasi pada siklus I 60 keriteria cukup aktif pada siklus II 70 dengan keriteria aktif dengan demikian ada peningkatan pada siklus II. Data hasil belajar siswa melalui tes tulis pada siklus I menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 57,1 dan siklus II adalah 85 hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dikatakan mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata yang signifikan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 27,9. Selain itu, skor ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal pada siklus I adalah 60%, dan siklus II adalah 85,7%. Ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal mengalami peningkatan sebesar 45,7%. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dinyatakan tuntas karena tercapainya seluruh indikator pembelajaran melebihi atau sama dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi dengan menerapkan pembelajaran quantum learning siswa kelas III SD meningkat.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran IPA berbasis masalah (Problem Based Learning) dalam hasil penelitian diduga dapat mampu memberikan suatu stimulus kepada peserta didik untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dalam berpikir kritis serta motivasi belajar mereka dalam suatu pembelajaran IPA. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan ini memberikan pandangan serta menghadapkan peserta didik pada permasalahan yang ada di dunia nyata sebagai bentuk dari sarana belajar bagi peserta didik agar dapat belajar dan mampu berpikir kritis apabila dihadapkan untuk dapat menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu pertama, agar dapat memberikan penjelasan tentang ada atau tidaknya suatu pengaruh pada model pembelajaran IPA yang berbasis masalah (problem based learning) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada peserta didik. Kedua, untuk dapat memberikan penjelasan terkait ada atau tidaknya pengaruh yang ditimbulkan pada penggunaan model pembelajaran IPA berbasis masalah (problem based learning) terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik ketika pelaksanaan pembelajaran berlangsung. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan quasy experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Populasinya adalah seluruh peserta didik di kelas V MIN 2 Lombok Tengah yang terbagi menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas VA dan kelas VB. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara total sampling. Kelas eksperimennya adalah kelas V B dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan kelas V A kemudian sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Sedangkan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes, angket, dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, berdasarkan uji independent sample t-test pada variabel kemampuan berpikir kritis diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,245 > 0,05 yang memiliki arti bahwa tidak adanya pengaruh yang ditimbulkan pada model pembelajaran IPA berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan nilai rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen (16,68) lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol yang mencapai (14,91). Sedangkan hasil uji independent sample t-test pada variabel motivasi belajar diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,716 > 0,05 yang artinya tidak ada pengaruh model pembelajaran IPA berbasis masalah terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik dengan niali rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen (73,20) lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (72,29).

Abstract

This research aims to improve the science learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students through the application of the modeling the way method.The subjects of this research were 26 grade III elementary school students consisting of 16 male students and 10 female students. The method in this research is classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles where each cycle consists of several stages, including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data on student learning outcomes is obtained from written tests at the end of each cycle, while teacher and student activities are obtained from observation instruments. Indicators of success in learning outcomes are said to have increased if ≥ 85% of students get a score of ≥ 65, while indicators of success in teacher activities are at least in the good category and indicators of student activity are at least in the "active" category. Based on the research results, data obtained on improving the quality of the learning implementation process, namely for teaching activities in cycle I, teachers obtained a score of 34 in the quite good category and in cycle II it increased by obtaining a score of 41 in the good category. Likewise for student learning activities in cycle I obtained a score of 33 in the quite active category and in cycle II it increased by obtaining a score of 40 in the good category. For student learning outcomes, the average score in cycle I was 70.3 with a classical completeness percentage of 69.2% and there was an increase in the second cycle with an average score of 85.4 with a classical completeness percentage of 85.1%, the conclusion of This research is that the application of the way modeling method can improve students' science learning outcomes in class III elementary school.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze policies and strategies that can improve the distribution and quality of teachers in Indonesia. A literature study approach was used to explore literature relevant to this topic, with a focus on teacher management policies, participatory models in teacher management, multigrade learning (PKR), and training programs in teacher distribution. Literature analysis reveals that teacher management policies need to pay attention to aspects of recruitment, placement, welfare and technology integration. The participatory model and PKR are effective solutions for optimizing limited human resources in areas with a shortage of teachers. In-service training programs are also important to improve teacher competency. Thus, holistic and strategic policy implementation is needed to improve the distribution and quality of teachers in Indonesia, especially in remote areas, in order to improve the overall quality of education.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve learning achievement in Aqidah Akhlak learning through class management skills in class IV students at Madrasah Ibtidiyah. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in 2 cycles consisting of 2 meetings with 4 stages in each cycle, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. As subjects in the research were teachers of the Aqidah Akhlak subject and class IV Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students, totaling 25 students. The data collection methods used are observation, tests, documentation and interviews. Observations include teacher teaching activities in managing the class and students' actions during implementation in each cycle. The test used is a multiple choice question test to determine the increase in student learning outcomes which is carried out in the performance of each cycle. Interviews were conducted with teachers and students. The data in this research includes two types, namely quantitative and qualitative data. The results of the research can be concluded that the application of classroom management skills can improve Aqidah Akhlak class IV learning achievement at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This is shown from the pre-cycle student scores below 70 with an average class score of 62.4 or only 10 students who completed. and classical completeness is 40% out of 25 people. In cycle I, it was found that teacher activity was quite active, with an average student activity score of 10.4 in the quite active category. From the evaluation results data from cycle I, it was found that 72% of students or 18 students completed classical completion. Meanwhile, in cycle II, teacher activity was classified as very active, namely with an average student activity score of 22.2 in the very active category, and from the results In the second cycle evaluation, 92% of students or 23 students completed classical completion. The increase in student learning outcomes in the Aqidah Akhlak subject increased by 52% from pre-cycle to cycle II.
