Abstract

Indonesia's PISA results, which are always below the average score and are ranked in the bottom 10, are a strong indicator showing the low literacy and numeracy skills of students, which should be very important for students in strengthening their problem solving abilities, especially in accordance with everyday life. . The state, through the Ministry of Education and Culture, is always creative and innovative to overcome this problem, one of which is by launching the Kampus Mengajar Program which is part of the Merdeka Belajar kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. Through this program, students with creative ideas and burning enthusiasm are at the forefront of achieving the above goals. This program is implemented through 3 stages consisting of pre-assignment, assignment and post-assignment. This publication is a publication from students and lecturers of the 5th class of the Kampus Mengajar program with SDN Karang Manik as the placement school. Through the programs that we have designed, the literacy and numeracy skills of SDN Karang Manik students have increased, which can be seen from the comparison of the AKM class pretest and posttest scores conducted at the beginning and at the end of the assignment period which has increased. Even though we only carried out this activity for 1 semester, the work programs that we have designed continue to be carried out by the teachers at the school with the same aim as the aim of holding this Kampus Mengajar program. For us, the Kampus Mengajar program can be used to improve teaching abilities and solve problems that exist in target schools.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim of describing students' mathematical literacy abilities after studying SPLTV material using the PBL model. What is new in this research is the use of the PBL model in studying SPLTV material to describe mathematical literacy abilities in each category. This research was carried out in class X.8 SMAN 1 Indralaya for the 2023/2024 academic year. Students in the high category are able to formulate problems into SPLTV form and can determine mathematical solutions from the SPLTV and can interpret mathematical results based on the question so that they are able to solve problems. Students in the medium category are able to formulate problems into SPLTV form and are quite capable of determining mathematical solutions from the SPLTV, but are not yet able to interpret them so they are not able to solve problems. Students in the low category are only able to formulate problems in the form of SPLTV and are not yet able to solve problems. Group and individual guidance, which is one of the phases in PBL, makes students interested in solving SPLTV problems using mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah as one of the Indonesian Islamic community organizations has evolved into an organization for the Indonesian education movement. This can be seen from the number of educational establishments that include the word Muhammadiyah in the name of the institution. Almost all over Indonesia there are Muhammadiyah schools. This social phenomenon raises several questions. Why are Muhammadiyah schools spread throughout Indonesia? What is the purpose of Muhammadiyah in building these schools?. This question is the problem formulation of this research. The purpose of this study is to determine the aims and objectives of the Muhammadiyah organization to become the pioneer of the Indonesian education movement during the colonial period to the reformation period. The method we use in this research is the historical method which includes the study of literature, records the actual data on the number of Muhammadiyah and non-Muhammadiyah schools, and compares and analyzes the data as the results and conclusions of this study. The conclusion obtained from this research is that Muhammadiyah has played an active role in educating the nation's life as the goal of the Indonesian nation, both during the colonial and post-proclamation periods with all of his policies. Muhammadiyah has become the motor for updating Indonesian education as an expression of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan towards the education sector during the colonial period. Muhammadiyah wants to provide a new perspective that education is holistic integrative, not in a partial dichotomous area, which can contribute to the development and progress of the nation.
