Abstract

The development of technology and business competition encourages companies to improve performance, including the employee selection process. This study designs a Decision Support System (DSS) for employee recruitment at Sashop Kota Gorontalo to accelerate selection and minimize assessment errors. The system assists decision-makers in selecting candidates more objectively based on predetermined criteria. Additionally, structured data storage makes administrative processes more efficient compared to manual methods. The system is developed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method with PHP, HTML, and MySQL and is modeled using UML. White-box and black-box testing show that the system functions as designed, with a region value (R) = 2, independent paths = 2, and cyclomatic complexity (CC) = 2.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a trend in all aspects of life, following the flow of contemporary information technology development, from business practitioners to government sectors. If the tourism sector is well-managed and developed, it can significantly contribute to the nation's financial resources. However, until now, tourist attractions, including natural, cultural, and historical sites in Biluhu Timur Village, have not been well-publicized. As a result, the available tourism information is not well-known to the broader public and tourists. The purpose of this research is to design a web-based tourism information system that facilitates tourists and the community in accessing tourism information in Biluhu Timur Village, Batudaa Pantai District. The method used is Agile. The system is designed using PHP and HTML programming languages, with MySQL as the database. For modeling, Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used. The system testing, performed using black-box testing, yielded results that met the expectations.

Abstract

The selection process of co-assistant (COAS) doctors in hospitals is a critical stage in ensuring the quality of healthcare services. However, in practice, this process is often conducted subjectively and lacks integration with a structured criteria-based system, which may lead to inconsistent and less accurate decision-making. However, existing studies still lack the implementation of integrated web-based decision support systems with validated ranking results, particularly in the context of COAS doctor selection. This study aims to optimize the selection process of COAS doctors by implementing a decision support system based on the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE). The method is used to rank alternatives through a multi-criteria decision-making approach involving seven criteria, namely medical knowledge, service attitude, productivity, teamwork, discipline, honesty, and responsibility. The results show that the developed system is capable of generating objective candidate rankings, where the highest net flow value of 0.95 is achieved by the best candidate, indicating strong dominance over other alternatives. Furthermore, the implementation of the PROMETHEE method improves transparency and consistency in decision-making while reducing subjectivity compared to manual approaches. The web-based system also enhances efficiency through automated calculations and real-time data processing. Therefore, this study contributes to the development of multi-criteria decision support systems in the healthcare sector, particularly in providing a more objective, systematic, and efficient approach to COAS doctor selection.
