Abstract

Assessment is a crucial step in planning and developing an effective guidance and counseling program. It plays a vital role in formulating appropriate goals, targets, and methods that align with the actual needs of the counselees. Without accurate assessment, a guidance and counseling program may lose direction and fail to meet its objectives effectively. The objective of this community service activity (PKM) is to assist guidance and counseling teachers in identifying students' problems and to develop students’ skills in using assessment tools. The implementation of the PKM activity was carried out through several stages, including preparation, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. To achieve the goals of the PKM, several methods were applied, namely lectures and class discussions, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The results of the PKM activity revealed that there are several issues among students that need to be addressed by guidance and counseling teachers. These include personal problems, which constitute the largest proportion at 42.6%, followed by learning-related issues at 34%, social issues at 12.7%, and career-related problems at 10.7%. The latter suggests that many students experience confusion or lack adequate information regarding their educational and career choices.

Abstract

In the era of digital transformation, backend development skills are crucial for students, especially in the field of information technology. This community service activity aimed to provide students with fundamental understanding and skills in building REST APIs using Laravel 12, a modern PHP framework widely used in the industry. The activity, titled “Building Your First Backend Project With Laravel 12”, consisted of two sessions: a webinar that introduced the MVC architecture, Laravel installation, and REST API structure, and a hands-on workshop focusing on configuring the project, database connection, and implementing CRUD endpoints. The event was conducted online and attended by 20 participants from various institutions. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments, as well as a feedback questionnaire. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of backend development using Laravel. Most participants expressed satisfaction with the materials and the presenters. Abstract

This article examines the strategic role of participatory communication, post-return entrepreneurship of Indonesian migrant workers, and the green economy framework in promoting sustainable development initiatives. Grounded in theories of participatory communication and green entrepreneurship, the study applies a bibliometric approach to scientific publications from 2000 to 2024, sourced from the Dimensions database and mapped using VOSviewer. The analysis identifies research trends, author networks, and dominant keywords, revealing that the integration of participatory communication, post-migration entrepreneurship, and green economy remains limited and underexplored. It also highlights weak institutional connectivity among Indonesian academic communities, with minimal positioning of returned migrant workers as active agents of sustainable transformation. The findings suggest that participatory communication can significantly strengthen community engagement, enhance program ownership, and drive social change. Consequently, the study recommends adopting transformative and collaborative approaches in development communication to empower returned migrant workers in advancing local green economies. These insights contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (decent work), SDG 10 (reduced inequalities), and SDG 13 (climate action), by integrating migration into inclusive development strategies.
