Abstract

This paper described the interconnection model of morals-reasoning-research in the curriculum of Tarbiyatul Muallimien al-Islamiyah (known as TMI) Al-Amien Prenduan. It also examined the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the interconnected-curriculum. It is a case study employing observation, interviews and documentation, and the data were analyzed using qualitative analysis. Two conclusions were drawn. First, TMI uses multidisciplinary approaches in its curriculum by interconnecting morals, reason and research. Morals are instilled through reading and learning the morals books such as Ta‘lîm al-Muta‘allim and Iḥyâ’ ‘Ulûm al-Dîn. The reasoning skills are taught through school subjects such as logic, Islamic jurisprudence and the science of hadith. In contrast, the research skills are taught through research subjects and a compulsory program called writing a research paper. Second, the class classification model, which takes students’ talent and interest into account, and other research-related programs such as book review and fatḥ al-kutub (classical book research) are the supporting factors for the writing program. They are accommodating for students in completing their writing. Meanwhile, there are also numbers of inhibiting factors such as student’s lacking motivation, the prohibition of internet use, unsuitable supervisor expertise, and the minimum role of Islamic Study Center (Pusdilam).

Abstract

Abstract: This study reveals the experience of SMPN 3 Lamongan (Lamongan State Junior High School 3) in managing a healthy school canteen, giving entrepreneurship learning, and giving inspiration of economic activity towards both the school community and the surrounding community to cooperate in the canteen, all of which are as the Implementation of Independent Curriculum. The method of this study is designed in a qualitative approach, in which the data are collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The data are then analyzed through these steps: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The result shows that 1) the location of the canteen is beautiful and comfortable; 2) canteens are part of the implementation of the independent curriculum which is used for learning to live a healthy and clean life through the provision of nutritious, healthy and free from preservatives, dyes, sweeteners, and flavorings; 3) The canteen provides motivation and inspiration for the cultivation of students' entrepreneurial spirit. As well as collaborating with school residents and parents to provide food, snacks, and drinks with nutritious, healthy, and attractive criteria; and 4) canteens are also as a Adiwiyata School program which is implemented by the principles of environmental conservation. Keywords: school canteen, healthy behavior learning, entrepreneurial inspiration Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengungkap pengalaman SMPN 3 Lamongan dalam mengelola kantin sekolah sehat mandiri, memberikan pembelajaran kewirausahaan, dan memberikan inspirasi kegiatan ekonomi baik kepada warga sekolah maupun masyarakat sekitar untuk bekerjasama dalam kantin. yang kesemuanya merupakan Implementasi Kurikulum Mandiri. Metode penelitian ini dirancang dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis melalui langkah-langkah berikut: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) lokasi kantin asri dan nyaman; 2) kantin merupakan bagian dari Penerapan Kurikulum merdeka yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran hidup sehat dan bersih melalui penyediaan asupan jajanan, dan minuman yang bergizi , sehat dan bebas dari bahan pengawet, pewarna, pemanis, dan penyedap rasa,; 3) kantin memberikan motivasi dan inspirasi penanaman jiwa kewirausahaan peserta didik. Serta bekerjasama dengan warga sekolah dan wali murid untuk menyediakan makanan, jajanan, dan minuman dengan kriteria bergizi, sehat, dan menarik; dan 4) kantin juga merupakan bagian dari program sekolah Adiwiyata Sekolah yang dilaksanakan dengan memperhatikan prinsip pelestarian lingkungan hidup. Abstract

The competitiveness of salt produced by local farmers in Kalianget District, Sumenep Regency, East Java is still low. The production capacity of local salt is unstable, with inconsistent quality, which leads to the rejection of local salt as raw material in salt processing factories. This is further exacerbated by disputes over the grading of salt quality. Our activities aim to raise awareness, knowledge, and skills among salt farmer groups in ensuring the quality of local salt and increasing its production. Building awareness about quality assurance is a preliminary activity to prepare salt farmer groups for participating in improving the quality of local salt. This initial activity also involves the MBKM KKN (Community Service Program) in village development, entrepreneurship, and internships. Meanwhile, the design, fabrication, assembly, and installation of equipment for improving the quality of local salt and rapid test instruments for local salt quality are carried out off-site at the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, Trunojoyo University, and on-site at the Salt Farmer Group location in Kalianget District. The implementation of this activity involves MBKM Product Development, Entrepreneurship, and Internship programs. The output of this activity is the development of equipment ready for implementation, including tools to improve brine quality and rapid test instruments for local salt quality. The empowerment of business partners for regional superior products among the salt farmer groups includes the provision of equipment grants accompanied by technology transfer assistance for operations, maintenance, and governance of local salt production. The increase in local salt productivity is achieved by preventing damage to the salt quality during the production process, ensuring that no more local salt is rejected as raw material in salt processing factories. This is also supported by the rapid test instrument for local salt quality to strengthen the bargaining position of salt farmers

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project is one of the government's efforts to instill the noble values of Pancasila through eight core character traits used by educators to shape students' character, integrity, and competence. The adversity quotient serves as a bridge between the intelligence quotient (IQ) and emotional quotient (EQ), both of which are essential for daily life, especially in problem-solving. This study aims to measure the extent to which the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project influences the adversity quotient, which plays a crucial role in shaping individuals to become more resilient and adaptive. This research adopts a mixed-methods design by sequentially combining quantitative and qualitative approaches to gain a deep and comprehensive understanding of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project and its impact on students' adversity quotient. The project has shown a positive influence on improving students’ adversity quotient, as evidenced by a questionnaire with an average score of 88.44 (N=25), indicating an increase in students' adversity quotient. This finding is also supported by the observed improvement in students' creativity and their ability to solve problems. The project has encouraged students to take on new challenges and become more aware of their surrounding environment.
