Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze forms of family conflict in young households as portrayed in the film Dua Hati Biru by Gina S. Noer. Using a qualitative approach and content analysis method, this research focuses on scenes depicting interpersonal conflicts between a young married couple. The findings reveal that the conflicts include differences in parenting styles, economic pressure, interference from extended family, and a lack of effective communication. The film also portrays conflict resolution through open communication, compromise, and mutual understanding. The study highlights that family-themed films can serve as reflective and educational media regarding social realities. Furthermore, such films can be examined through the lens of family communication theory to deepen insights into relational dynamics within households.   Keywords:                   Family Conflict,          Young Marriage,            Content           Analysis,         Family Communication

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to family life, including the role of parents in accompanying their children in the digital era. This study examines the role of parents in supporting children's digital literacy during the pandemic, while also identifying challenges in minimizing the risks of exposure to harmful online content. Using a quantitative approach, the study involved 25,164 children and 14,169 parents across Indonesia. The findings show a drastic increase in children's gadget use, with the majority of time spent on online entertainment. However, parental supervision remains limited, both in terms of quantity and quality. Only 59.1% of fathers and 68% of mothers consistently provide digital literacy education. This lack of supervision exposes children to risks such as cyberbullying, exposure to harmful content, and technology addiction. The study highlights the importance of collaboration between parents and educational institutions in strengthening safe and beneficial digital literacy practices for children in the digital era. Keywords: Children's digital literacy, family education, harmful online content, parental supervision, technology addiction.

Abstract

The high prevalence of child marriage in Indonesia has become a pressing issue, not only at the national but also at the global level. Preventive efforts require a collaborative and multi-faceted approach that goes beyond legal regulations and incorporates social, psychological, spiritual dimensions, as well as marriage guidance. This article aims to explore a collaborative psychosocial-spiritual governance model that integrates marriage guidance in the prevention of child marriage in Indonesia. This research was conducted using an exploratory qualitative approach in Jombok Village, Trenggalek, East Java, and Woro Village, Rembang, Central Java. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with various stakeholders including government officials, religious leaders, local psychologists and cultural figures, local activists, NGOs, as well as couples/families experiencing child marriage. The research results indicate that social innovation for preventing child marriage is implemented through the principles of collaborative governance based on a psychosocial-spiritual approach, with multi-level involvement from villages, sub-districts, to districts. Education, mentoring, and marriage counseling programs are carried out in stages, encompassing social assistance based on child protection, psychological support, and strengthening religious values. This approach demonstrates that effective prevention strategies are not only focused on formal regulations but also on value transformation, community capacity building, and creating an ecosystem that supports children's rights. The overall efforts aim at preventing child marriage in a more holistic, inclusive, gender-just manner, and contextualized with the local values of Indonesian society.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates how undergraduate students Generation Z, who are immersed in digital and urban environments, develop spiritual resilience through their communicative practices on social media, particularly Instagram. It aims to elucidate the dynamic interplay between spirituality, self-control, and the formation of digital identity a central factors in cultivating resilience.   Methods: Employing a qualitative case-study approach, this research conducted in-depth interviews with eight Gen-Z students in Jakarta. As members of an urban society and active digital users, these participants represent information-rich cases that provide deep insights into lived experiences rather than generalizable findings.   Findings: The findings reveal that social media functions both as a source of spiritual motivation and a trigger of internal conflict. Participants used Instagram for self-expression, information seeking, and spiritual encouragement beyond recreational purposes. Key indicators of spiritual resilience emerged, including self-control, time management, negotiation of multiple identities, and intentional digital detox practices. The students demonstrated critical awareness of social media’s dual impact and actively balanced digital engagement with academic, spiritual, and emotional responsibilities.   Originality: This study offers a novel integrated approach by synthesizing digital nativity, spiritual purpose, and adaptive resilience, which are often examined separately. It bridges the gap in existing literature by exploring the nexus of Gen-Z’s unique digital communication on Instagram and their search for spiritual meaning. By examining these converging dimensions, the research provides a holistic understanding of how communicative processes function as tools for navigating modern adversities.
