Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how the use of the Scramble technique affects students' understanding of Nahwu. An experiment with a quantitative design was the methodology used in this study. A total of 56 students were sampled, divided into two groups: the experimental group, which used the Scramble approach, and the control group, which used the traditional method. A written test with questions regarding Nahwu content and observations was used as a data collection tool. The results of the pre-test and post-test were collected, and a t-test was used to analyze the data and determine whether the pre-test and post-test results of the two groups were different. The findings showed that students' understanding of Nahwu content increased significantly after the application of the method.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of learning qawaid. This problem is influenced by many factors, including the textbook. The al-Fahmu book or what is known as the al-Fahmu method is a Qawaid textbook that has been used at the Darussalam al-Fahmu Islamic Boarding School in Pandeglang and often conducts much training in various schools and universities. However, there are still few who conduct research related to the al-Fahmu book. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the qawaid learning method in the al-Fahmu book and its advantages and disadvantages. So this research uses descriptive qualitative methods with the type of literature research. Data collection techniques from interviews with al-Fahmu authors and al-Fahmu teachers and analyzed using data triangulation. The results found are Qawaid learning with al-Fahmu using the Qiyasiyah method. The advantages of using al-Fahmu are understanding the rules by comparing examples without memorization, rule formulas, using red color for important points, how to mengi-rob, and the formula for reading traditional Arabic text. However, it does not escape the shortcomings that are not equipped with arguments from Imrithi and Alfiyah so students do not know the origin of the rule which is a challenge in the yellow book reading competition. And some vocabulary words that have no meaning so it becomes difficult for students to understand, especially those who are beginners.

Abstract

Learning to speak Arabic, students are expected to be able to communicate well using Arabic in accordance with social and cultural developments. However, the lack of Arabic speaking skills at Nahdlatul Ulum Islamic boarding school is the basis of this research. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to apply the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) method to improve Arabic speaking skills. This study employs quantitative techniques and a one-group pretest-posttest experimental-pre-experimental design. The research data were obtained from observation, interviews, oral tests, and documentation. A T-test was used to see the difference in scores before and after treatment. The findings of this study indicate an increase in Arabic speaking skills. The average score of students after being given treatment with the TBLT method was 71.74 higher than before being given treatment 44.61. The results of the paired sample t-test indicate a significance value of 0.00, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that a considerable influence is present. Further research with a more comprehensive design to test the effectiveness of the TBLT method in more depth.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the meaning of majāzi and hakīqi in the context of dilālah science, focusing on Arabic scholarly texts. Majāzi and hakīqi are two important terms in Arabic linguistics that refer to two types of word meanings. Majāzi is often interpreted as a figurative meaning, while hakīqi refers to the literal meaning. A deep understanding of these two concepts is essential in the analysis of scholarly texts, especially in understanding the nuances of the Arabic language which is rich in symbolism and metaphor. In this study, the author analyzes various Arabic scholarly texts that discuss majāzi and hakīqi. Through a qualitative approach, the study explores how these two meanings are used in different contexts and how they contribute to the understanding of the text. The data used in this study includes text analysis, interviews with Arabic linguists, as well as a survey of related literature. The results show that the use of majāzi and hakīqi is not only limited to linguistic aspects, but also includes cultural and philosophical dimensions. For example, in many texts, majāzi is used to convey complex ideas that cannot be explained by hakīqi meanings. Through this research, it is hoped to contribute to the development of dilālah science and enrich the understanding of the diversity of meanings in Arabic. As such, this article is not only relevant for academics, but also for practitioners working with Arabic texts in a broader context.
