Abstract

The form of this research is classroom action research. The purpose of this research is to know the students’ speaking skill at second semester of STIE-SAK academic year 2022/2023 through TPR (Total Physical Response) technique and to explain the factors influence students’ speaking skill. This research will be done in four phases namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. This research is done in spiral cycle, there are two cycles in this research. This research is done in STIE-SAK. Speaking isan important part of language, and it is important to be mastered. A we know that, speaking cannot be learned without practice and practice it. It means that to master speaking, student have to speak. So as a teacher, we have to give more activities for the students in the class to use the language by using various ways in teaching.However, based on the researcher’s observation and experiences in teaching English at second semester students of STIE-SAK, there are only a few students who got good score and most of them got low score in speaking English. It meant that there are some problems faced by the students. First, the students’ speaking skill is low. The students do not understand the command from the teacher such as “listen to me, open your book, stand up, etc”. Second, the students are shy to speak in the class, the students mostly kept silent when their lecturer asks them to do something or to say a word in English. Third, they also havea limited vocabulary so they do not understand the instructions given by the lecturer. To solve the problems, it needed an implementation of appropriate model in teaching. There are many techniques that could be used in teaching and learning. One of them was Total Physical Response (TPR). Total physical response is a language teaching built around the coordination of speech and action. It meant that there are speech and action on it. The reason to choose TPR because it can improve the students’ vocabulary, the students uses TPR in speaking and the topic used is based on the syllabus.

Abstract

A factor that cannot be ignored in improving employee performance is motivation. This is according to Hasibuan's opinion (1996: 45) an employee will produce performance high if employees are motivated at work. Motivation can be a driving force someone carries out an activity in order to get the best results. Therefore it is not surprising that employees who have high work motivation usually also have high performance. Another factor which cannot be ignored Improving employee performance is an "organizational culture", a culture that is getting better organization that is implemented in an institution, the more enthusiasm will also increase employee work, because basically organizational culture is a rule that bind employees to organize and act according to the rules that have been set and agreed together. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of motivation work and organizational culture on employee performance at the Department of Industry and Sungai Penuh City Trade. The data collection techniques in this study are observation, interview, questionnaire. The sample in this study were 60 people employee at the Department of Industry and Commerce City of Sungai Penuh. In this study the authors used qualitative and quantitative data analysis. In general the results of this research are as follows:. 1) There is a positive influence between motivation work on the performance of employees at the Department of Industry and Trade of the City of Sungai Penuh. 2) There is a positive influence between organizational culture on employee performance at the Office of Industry and Trade of Sungai Penuh City 3) work motivation and organizational culture jointly has a positive effect on employee performance at the Department of Industry and Trade of Sungai Penuh City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesalahan tata bahasa yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa tahun kedua STIE-SAK pada jurusan akuntansi tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester genap jurusan akuntansi STIE-SAK. Mereka adalah dua kelas 2A1 dan 2A2. Jadi sampel penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan kelompok, bukan individu karena kelas-kelas tersebut homogen dan diajar oleh dosen yang sama dengan materi yang sama. Jadi sampel dipilih secara acak. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes menulis, yang diberikan kepada siswa untuk menulis paragraf naratif dengan tiga topik yang dipilih oleh peneliti. Setelah menganalisis seluruh data dari siswa, peneliti menemukan bahwa semua siswa membuat kesalahan dalam tata bahasa khususnya dalam simple past tense. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil tes siswa. Peneliti mengambil keputusan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks paragraf naratif rendah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks paragraf narasi kurang baik. Dari hasil tes, kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa diklasifikasikan menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu; kesalahan tata bahasa siswa dalam penggunaan kata ganti (simple past tense), kesalahan tata bahasa siswa dalam penggunaan kata ganti, dan kesalahan tata bahasa siswa dalam penggunaan kata depan. Dari data yang diperoleh, kesalahan tata bahasa siswa dominan pada bentuk nominal dan verbal simple past tense.
